I have seen some sportsbooks that allow you to see the odds in the "american odds" format and I was wondering what the advantages to them are, or why people want to use that kind of format. They have confused me before I googled it and got an answer, and it seems moderately difficult to explain. Also, it's annoying to calculate when you bet less then multiples of 100/10, as you will have to take a bit of time to do the math, where with Decimal odds, you just straight up multiply it.
