#SWGT PRE-SALE IS LIVE
Hi,

I would like to hear your opinion (or about your experience in) advertizing a gambling site. I have created and am running YOLOdice.com, yet another gambling site. Now the thing is it's doing pretty well, but is quite young (little over 1 month). It already has investors, players and I am sure it's on the right way to become a big one, but I would like to speed the process a bit with advertizing.

We are already doing:
* sig campaign on BitcoinTalk
* in-site referral program
* started Twitter giveaways and planning a few more

But I am looking at other options and was thinking about checking advertizing - CPM or CPC. Since I have never advertized a gambling site, I can see there are already a few Bitcoin-centric advertizing networks, I would really like to hear some opinions if you decide to share!

Thanks and cheers,
Ethan

well your doing a good job already for having that advertisement strategy already and i think you need to give a fix rate on twitter campaign so that your participants may obliged to tweet/retweet to spread the word about your site and also facebook campaign can truly can help you with that since the most large audience are there and i believe that is the most effective among others but the question is how long you can sustain them since running an advertisement and having a great audience will not take for shorter time it takes long time of introducing so that people would not forget the one you advertise on.

I think you should approach people who like to gamble and do it daily and maybe offer them a position to help promote you for casino tokens.
Gambling is like a hobby, when you are a gambler you not only spend a lot of time doing it, but you also know other gamblers and share your experience. If someone like that leaves his casino to play at yours it means you're doing something right. Smiley

It will take more than that. The new site should show that theyre better than their competitors. Bitcoin is a tough market because most of us want to hold all our coins and spend as little as possible. If you want your site to prosper you should make the games as addictive as possible. Look at the darknet drug markets, all their customers are addicted to the products there! They keep coming back!

I thought about advertising methods some more and I realized that the best form of advertisement is offering the best level of service.
When you will gather dedicated base of users they will spread the word about how good the service is.
Media and Marketing researchers find that "word of mouth" is more effective than other types of marketing.

Interesting article about this phenomena: http://www.forbes.com/sites/kimberlywhitler/2014/07/17/why-word-of-mouth-marketing-is-the-most-important-social-media

Have try to submit your website in some gambling directories? There used to be couple sites with this: freecrypto.co or topbitcoinsites.com - I dont know if they are still operational.
Or advertise on other forums as well: https://cryptocointalk.com/forum/2419-games-gambling/ or https://bitcoingarden.org/forum/index.php?board=21.0

i think not just submitting the sites in gambling directories that related with crypto currency but for the normal directories because i think if we submitted into many directories sites, our sites will get more incoming links and it was counted by search engine and our rank in the search engine will get a good position.

advertise on other forums is good to because other people will see our sites and its a good chance for our sites to be visited by more people and i think if they are interesting with the sites, they will playing gambling too.

Advertising in sites outside the cryptocurrency community or forums that have no idea what Bitcoin is will be a waste of time. It will take more effort because you have to convince them to use BTC. Theres also no assurance that they will use BTC so why bother. Its better to advertise to the market who already knows what BTC and altcoins are. Its easier. What the service should do is convince that market why they are better.

yeh buddy, Dont worry your site will become popular gradually. In my opinion, signature campaign in this forum itself is enough. I came to know about your site through the signature campaign in this forum only. If you want, you can do one thing ,you can advertise in coinzilla.io.
In my opinion advertising in coinzilla is a better option than mellow ads because most of the sites contains coinzilla ads. So it will help to reach wider audience. Specially their floating banner is pretty good. In my opinion those who hate advertisements also will look at this floating banner. Its a good option.

This is a good suggestion. One thing I would like to say is awareness doesnt come overnight. It takes a while until the site youre advertising gets enough name recall from the people who keep seeing your ads. Do you ever wonder why those annoying ads on TV keep getting played and repeated over and over? They do that for name recall purposes. Some become timeless and have become a part of our culture.

You should not focus only on advertising networks in case you want to advertise your site, you can buy advertising area for specific time in a popular crypto sites, like coinmarketcap or newsbtc, this way can bring better results in my opinion, on coinmarketcap the minimum budget is $100 which is not so high, and I think there are a lot of additional options depending on your budget.

you are already doing fine. you and about advertising networks, don't go crazy with them but a CPM ad is not a bad idea to have among your methods.
you can also advertise on the forum: this round: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/advertise-on-this-forum-round-199-1766144

you can also have social media campaigns, where people with many followers on twitter or facebook friends make topics about you and you pay them.

one thing to know for long term is consistency in your advertisement. advertising a month and spending lots of money in that month they stopping all of them because you didn't get enough traffic through them is bad for business.

advertisement is first for brand recognition and then generating traffic.

OP, something else you can do alongside advertising your site on bitcoin ad networks is to advertise on fiat ad networks. You can potentially reach a wider audience this way, but be sure to specifically target bitcoin niches.

my opinions
1 the first is use signature campaign, you can incraese popular your site
2 twitter campaign is good, but majority gambling site not use twitter campaign, only several event
3 i think is good youre open contest, wager monthly
4 use loyality user you can use system member level, if wager high reward faucet incraese, can motivated member to incraese wager and always bet in youre site, another if invest in bankroll can incraese member level too
Disagree almost all of your advice.
Reason :
1. He already running signature campaign for his site before you suggested
2. You already said if majority gambling site are not using twitter campaign, its mean it is not good
3. No, wager monthly contest only give benefit to high roller
4. Not all people interested playing with faucet, thas only waste time. Yolodice already has investment sytem on their site

He did not even read the OP clearly and just posting what is on his brain, did he? If he read it before posting so he should noy suggest sign campaign as it is already running.
But I have to disagree with you as well for the points #3, as this thread is made because OP wants to increase the traffic of his site then wager contest is one of a good way to be done. Indeed it is only good for high roller, but it is big benefit for the site. As the main idea of promotion for dice site is to have more wager.

When you decide which of campaign you will start, I think is a good idea for payout participants on your site dashboard. So you get new users, some will stay and gamble on your casino. The more people who try your games the greater the chance that you'll get new users.

I was planning a similar campaign for fastdice (it is out of business now)
in addition to the already running promos (signature, twitter and onsite affiliate)
you can consider several more options such as:
1.bitcoin ad networks advertising
my recommendation will be: anonymous ads and mellow ads daily campaigns
you can plan campaigns there according to your daily or weekly budget
you can choose publishers/ad places with AADS,traffic quality etc.
both of the networks give ok results if there is no possible affiliate leakage,i.e. in your case you are the owner
so you do not care if the reflink was deleted
2.paid reviews,top entries,articles
3.bitcoin PTC,bitcoin buxes
there are many sites that offer a small bounty in satoshis for a direct visit
usually only unique visitors during 24 hours count
surprisingly enough, proved to be one of the most cost effective solutions
4.social media ads
twitter account, facebook page, youtube channel and a blog-these are the minimum requirements for a top online gambling site nowadays
there are services that earn money for retweets or posts or a link under their videos etc.
could be useful,f.e. a retweet to 37.000 followers can cost you 15$,worth exploring
youtube videos of "100% winning systems" "how I made 100500 btc in 10 seconds at Yolodice" "epic winsteak " etc.= they work
5.bitcoin forums dedicated topics, earn forum topics
time consuming and costly (if delegated),but super effective:
get a list of the bitcoin, earn, gambling, hack forums etc. and post a uniformed message with a reflink
gives you  steady traffic and many signups, too
6.giveaways,promotions,onsite chat games
the theory behind this is simple: whales bring profit,to attract or nurture whales your site ought to have some plankton
say,0.05 daily giveaway budget attracts players and makes your chat alive, many players come to socialize, not only gamble
most of the dice sites offer same old 1% house edge, provably fair, etc.
the competition is very steep-giveaways and chat games and bonuses allow you to create separate topics=cheap additional advertising+bigger freebie loving crowd

there are more ideas Smiley but this should be enough for you,for now

I see that You already have some marketing started already including Signature Campaign, Twitter Giveaways & Others.

As seen here :

i think you can try to spread not just in twitter, but the other social media like facebook, instagram, etc. maybe you can start to place your site into promotions website like easyhits4u website

First I think You should Improve Your Gambling site. I checked out Your site ( Yolodice.com ) It's slow and keeps loading and reloading. If you want to get a lot of users, You should also focus on retaining already existing users.

Next You can integrate a chat feature, Introduce Promotions, doing Twitter Campaigns instead of giveaways, Make sure Majirity if posts made by users of your sig campaign are actively posting in gambling section. Then You can apply CPC and CPM ads.

I agreed, more innovation  in your gambling site. Try to check other gambling site of how they preferred their site to the gamblers. Like Secondstrade, 777, bitvest, fortune jack and others.

Look for communities that are interested in what you are doing (gambling) and try to form partnership with them. You will attract most users that way in my oppinion.

Suggestions:
1. Keep your signature campaign going. The longer, the better.
2. Have you thought about advertising in-forum? The ad space, (right beneath the first post) is available for advertising. You could join the auction and bid for a spot. Theymos handles that and the auction thread can be found in the Auctions Section.
This is the current round for the advertising spot: Advertise on this forum - Round 198
I totally agree both point suggestion from neochiny

anyways do you have facebook official for YoloDice i think is a good too for promote your gambling site in Facebook.afaik many dice site also promote their site in facebook.like announcement, promo, contest, happy hours maybe etc'' Wink

Now the thing is it's doing pretty well, but is quite young (little over 1 month).
If that is working and pretty well then I suggest that you just keep on moving, signature campaign works the longer the better.

If you run your campaign, as indicated above then I guess you are doing good for being a new marketing manager.

But if you want to maximize your time and wants to make yolodice more popular then this is also my suggestion.
2. Have you thought about advertising in-forum? The ad space,

If your website is bitcoin related (which I guess it is based on the name of your website) you can never go wrong with a signature campaign. Try it for 2-3 months in the forum as this forum is the best place to advertise your bitcoin related business, i.e casino in your case. If you are happy with the result (which I am sure you will be as there are more than 800 k users here) you can extend it for some more time until you achieve your desired result. Beside that make a special requirement that 50% of weekly or monthly posts to be in the gambling section in order to increase views at the sector where it matters most for your business.

In the end I wish you good luck with your venture.

No need for additional cpm or cpc as there are not great bitcoin related websites for advertising.

You can try mellowads as one of the most known ones.

Still I suggest you go on with your signature , as I see results you say are coming.
