Hello community I need so advice regarding p2p trading on telegram.
someone send me a message on telegram requesting to buy a token from me but I suspect if his legit, then I ask him to send the payment first before I will send him my token. The problem now is his insisting I send first before he can pay, claiming that he can't pay for what he have not seen.

My question now is should I send the token to him first or I should just block him???

Why do you need to deal on telegram? You have various exchanges available at your disposal! Never trust an unknown person without an escrow service! Usually p2p exchanges come with inbuilt escrow facilities and that comes really handy if someone tries to scam you!

Don't ever trust an unknown party and never send payment beforehand!

My advice to you is very simple, never deal with anyone if you do not know them. 100% of the people who actively message to trade on telegram are scammers, so the only thing you need to do is report them.

Don't send your tokens first. Tell that user that you will use a trusted escrow in this forum and that he will pay for the fee. If that proposal gets rejected right away and still insist that you send first, then just ignore or block him. If he is serious in buying your tokens, he would probably make another proposal like you sharing on the escrow fee.

Indeed, if this man is honest and trusted he'd prefer trading at reputable exchanges like binance. It can be done through trading site sell order and both parties can do opposite transactions. You can do the sell order and and the buyer will cater the order once it was successfully been raised. This is the very safe one, instead of dealing with his strangers scam tricks.

Escrow. Or don't bother continuing. Also I see no need to block the guy. It's just a conflict of interests, nothing that deep that warrants a block. Besides, if it was a scam, it didn't follow through so I see no need for it, and you don't even know if it is actually a scam, more like the guy just wants to be sure, just like how you want to be sure that the transaction would follow through. Share the burden of the escrow, or if your desperate, burden it yourself. Either way, once the escrow is set, the transaction should be guaranteed to happen.

Its better to use an escrow before doing any buy/sell with online people. Especially on telegram, Once I had a query and had wrote to an admin of a project in the group chat, in just 2-3 hours, many scammers messaged me with the same name of that admin to scam. You can understand the quantity of scammers by this.

lots of scams on telegrams, even their username can be disguised as the admin of a project, so you should avoid that, if you want to buy and sell via telegram use Escrow services better, because there is no other way, you need a third party to process your transaction, do not use a third party from that person because it could be his friend

Telegram right now full of scammers, I wouldn't recommend to trade with anyone on telegram platform, unless use trusted escrow service. In this forum you can find a recommended bitcointalk escrow services and also you can check the list of escrow ranking.

It's not good to trade at Telegram. They are scammed and you can lose your token Trading at Telegram is risky These people are usually away using bots as they are far away Speaking of these trades the reason for the scam is that there are many sides to crypto where you can easily trade and make profits Always try to stay away from the telegram trade.

Never go first even if you're the buyer. Ask for escrow and send him to this forum and find a reputable escrow. If he doesn't want to, then stop there. It's not worth the risk of losing thousands of tokens for someone you don't even know.

Was he the one who initiated buying your tokens? If so, how does he know that you have them?
Probably just a play on words or something similar? After all, you can actually post or say you're selling something, but in reality, you're not. Guess the buyer just wants proof that the token exists, and the token can be sent to him.
Not too long ago, some user/s sent me a PM both here and on telegram offering to buy my tokens. Those tokens existed but I never posted that it's for sale.

Well, him asking it is without reason. Like in Paypal where the user can retract the transaction, thereby actually the seller selling the token for well, basically free. That's the difficult part with p2p transactions though. Like what the guy above me said, offer an escrow to the other party, or at the very least, a trusted middle man. Share the fees, both you and him. Probably the best way to successfully make this transaction of yours right now.
