I am not qualified as such. I have no intention of becoming a vet.

Donations will help pay directly for wild/stray animals' care that I am so frequently finding.
Private vets charge for treatment and the RSPCA will not treat many of these creatures.

I'm talking about funding and starting MY OWN support for injured and troubled animals, not donating to the RSPCA.
I would be receiving donations directly for my own cause, not simply converting it for RSPCA!

have you got kennels, food suppliers, vets, actual experience in animal care? showing proof of concept, video's of your actions and experience/skills at work really do help. but if its just a website with images pulled off google. then dont expect much income.

or let me guess, no vets in-house, youll just take them to a vet instead. and your business model just resembles you 'fostering' animals in your own home/barn.

I guess.

I have just received confirmation that the name isn't trademarked or copyrighted and I'm allowed to make this kind of charity.

It's for UK wildlife and cruelly treated animals in the Staffordshire area.

The RSPCA, especially around here, is quite lacking in their efforts and (at least for my area), I'd like to contribute to local animals that are injured - there are a great deal in the area, including stray dogs and injured birds.

firstly get the RSPCA to display a QR code on THEIR website. as its ben proven time and time before, the community hate middlemen.. (the whole point of bitcoin). saying you are supporting RSPCA by converting to pounds and handing them pounds is not really promoting bitcoin. plus because RSPCA wont know its bitcoin donations, you might aswell do a car wash, car boot sale, fete, festival in your area that accepts pounds...

bitcoin donations are normally great for the nd users that show THEY want bitcoins. or atleast have a grocery store in the staffordshire area that accepts bitcoins, so that you can buy the cat/dogfood using bitcoins..

being purely a middle man pound coin converter is a crap business plan where we know your 'cut' would be more then a greedy amount.

in short. if you cant be arsed to get RSPCA stafforshire/local supplier of pet needs to accept bitcoin, you dont deserve handouts

I realise that people will think I can take the money for myself, any time I want, how can I legitimately alleviate fears?

You can't. Are you going to be a legally registered charity? Maybe that would help, but people tend not to trust people claiming for charity round here regardless of wether their intentions are good or not. Also keeping the details a secret sounds kinda ominous. I guess there's nothing to stop you from creating a website but don't expect much in donations if anything at all.

Hi there,
I'm looking to help endorse and promote bitcoin by funding a particular cause and passion of mine(which will currently remain undisclosed for copyright reasons until I receive the go ahead from the licensers).

People will have the opportunity to donate to the cause via bitcoin, a website and QR code.

However, I am currently unsure as how I may persuade supports and pledgers as to the legitimacy of the cause.
How do they know it's not a scam to take their money?
I'm going to make a website explaining the cause, where the money will go, and a tally of people who have donated, and how much. Aside from which, I realise that people will think I can take the money for myself, any time I want, how can I legitimately alleviate fears?

Thanks!
