She can not take away what you are not willing give up.

The relationship is ruined. Doesn't mean you have to give up your social circle or old way of life.

Actually, why not show her you can be a big man and maintain no bad feeling relationship with your old buddy and her?

Well you can always choose Ibiza!

Maybe not everyone there speaks English but you can try it!

Or move to Cuba!

I personally would try Ibiza if I would have 15k at my disposal to relocate!

Hell I would even relocate to Ibiza with only 3k!!!

Hi everyone. Long story short: I've been in a bad place for a number of years. Just when I thought it was all getting better and I had a lot to look forward too, my Girlfriend of 6 year texts me on her way home from work telling me she doesn't want to be with me anymore. I had our engagement all planned out and the ring was paid for, I was so happy to think what was coming next. We were so tight, we had our whole life planned out, it was full of adventure and excitement.
Well it turns out she had been seeing my oldest friend for a couple of weeks. Everyone knew what was going on except for me. She's now hanging around with all of my friends, people I introduced her too.

Whatever you do today is important because you are trading your life for it.
Leave all of these people behind you, they are not worth your time.

If anyone wants to give me any advice on getting away from this shit. Please, let me know!

You already are away from this shit, this is the past.
Your new life is beginning right now.
Live the life you want to live, not live the life you are told to live.

You should go spend some time with your family ,clear you mind !
This is probably one of the better advices. OP will surely find the answer regardless of what the people on a crypto-currency forum suggests.

15K is not enough to start a life somewhere else, I suggest you that you hold for now and start building and prepare your self, the 15k you have right now, should be partially invested in different business (sticking to only bitcoin is not a good thing) the other part is to get a job/ part time job to have a solid income to help sustain yourself without touching your investiment, from there you can start planing, there are many places you can go two once you have a solid amount of cash,  Asia Africa or australia are good choices, for Asia, I suggest south asia countries with not very high living cost like philipines for example, in Africa, Morocco and Tunisia are good places, and some francophone subsaharian countries like Ivory Coast or Senegal.

Once you have enough money to own a house, and to make a small business such as a café or a shop and enough money sustain your self for a year or two then you can think of moving, also check out the opportunities for a job ect

Canada is cold, but nice in the summer.
Maybe one of the safer South American areas where English is spoken by at least ~1/3 of the people?
Does that come with a increased risk of being shot every time you leave your house?

if your trying to start a new life i suggest finding a woman to spend your time with. it will help motivate you and keep you ont track with being the person you want to be
But what if he's secretly a homosexual? Why on earth would you then want to spend time with a woman? Seems like a lot of work for no reward.

Hey

If you like cold weather Alaska is a great place to get lost in. If you're healthy you can find manual labor or work on fishing boats and processors.  It's mind-numbing, brutal work, in a hostile and deadly environment.  And those are the positives.

After a year or so you'll be hooked and spend the rest of your life up there, or be ready to return to civilization with a clear mind and calm heart.  I worked up there for over 2 years and it was one of the most amazing times of my life.

And remember - having a gf it always might comes with trouble  and pain Tongue

I guess it is like :

GF = 86% chance of having big trouble
14% chance to fall into true love and live together 4ever Smiley

Error 404: Girlfriend not found

For all of you who does not have a GF :

try to think twice before you decided to find one ;P
think 4 times before you say to her "I love you"
think 10000 times before you give her your life.

Sometimes it is better to stay alone.
And maybe it seems sad, but it is NOT.

GF is like altcoins Tongue

it's better to love and lose that love then die without loving Cheesy

if your GF is underaged, she's like bitcoin
you can do illegal stuff with her and no one will ever know Cheesy

The Texas USA suggestion is not a bad one IMO.  I don't know how the OP would feel about that maybe Vancouver?  That is some group of people that you called "friends".  Don't let that get you down for long you got a long life ahead of you and options so make the best of it and learn from this bad situation.  Good Luck

Honestly if i was you, i would beat her ass up. Anyways not commenting further on your personal life i would suggest you to stay there in uk shifting is not a good idea, you just need a break not a sift in your life. you can go to Philippines, India or Thailand as they are cheap and fun !! Smiley  Else come over to my place for a couple of weeks and have beers !!   Grin Smiley
Lets not suggest violence, keep this thread clean with actual advice that would be helpful rather than put OP in jail.

Are there any investors here?
Reply with quote  #1
My 2 older brothers have been working on a good business idea. It's been in the works now for about 18months but both of them are at University and working so they had to put it on hold in recent months. They proposed the idea to me recently and wanted me on board, I had plans to invest but mtgox kind of stole all my funds (lol?). We have a business plan drafted up and I believe it is a great opportunity for investors.

I know this seems spam/scammy but I don't want to give any details away on this public domain.

I am only testing the water here but am curious if there are any people(s) interested in investing in what will be a successful family run company. And quite a cool one too!

The initial investment they were looking for is £10,000 - terms negotiable.

This is a serious proposition so please contact me for more details. Let's talk business!

PM if this tickles your fancy (US translation: if you are interested) Wink

Thank you.

Completely unrelated to my current situation. That venture is not a lot to do with me, they propositioned me after I told them that I had £15,000 of pending gox withdrawals. Obviously that money is long gone.

I'm just bored on the train to Brighton and fishing for ideas to get me out of this mess. If we managed to get the business up and running I would be 100% responsible for operating it on a daily basis, so it's in my best interests to try and get it started.

Think what you will, I know full well how people react to things like this on the forum. Trust me!

Try me. I can easily provide any proof or reassurance you need.

I'm really not expecting any donations but it's worth a shot. There are some nice people here... I am one of them... I donated 0.25btc to the guy who's dog needed an operation recently. Anyone here want to help a human out?

Thanks to mtgox these plans of mine are dead in the water. It's just been one thing after another, I can very much say FML right now. Spent my last bitcoin to cover general living costs a few weeks ago. I am currently between London, Southampton and Brighton. Sofa surfing wondering what the f*ck to do and where to settle. Don't even have a place to chill and think about shit. Enough of the sob story...

If anyone wants to give me any advice on getting away from this shit. Please, let me know! Offers of hospitality are nice and I genuinely would like to travel, meet new people and have a good time and chat some shit! I'm a nice guy!

Or you could help a brother out. Going to run out of money soon and I need to eat! I know what every here thinks or beggars, but I'm begging here! Every little helps... seriously, £5 buys me food for the day Sad

There is ample help in the UK. If you can not find work claim housing, and all the rest of it. Go to citizens advice they will point you in the right direction. Dont be shy about scrounging off the Tax payer, millions do it.
More than 3,000 people who were subject to the government's cap on welfare payments have now found work, according to new figures.

It is the first official analysis of what has happened to households since the £26,000-a-year cap was introduced over the summer of 2013.
Thats right 26K free all welcome it buys food too !

If 15k is pretty much your only form of savings don't even think about blowing it and find a way instead to build things up from there if you really want to move to another country? Canada doesn't sound like too bad of an idea, just make sure to do all the research and stuff on whichever country you pick so you can find a job. Why is the UK such a shithole? I think the worst part of reading this thread is the fact that all your so called 'friends' knew about everything that was going on, seriously, fuck the UK there's a limit to how much a group of people can be assholes to one person for no reason.

Now you've tempted me with your talk of Canada, I'm looking at the houses there and they look fantastic compared to the UK Tongue I was born in the wrong country.

...And to also get revenge  Grin. But I like the Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves bit of wisdom. But yeah, a girl who would dump you by text and just leave you like that isn't worth the time.

Nope shes not worth it for sure.

So just you need time to forget. And remember time is always healing all wounds.
I have similar situation few years ago. Recovery took me about 3 years ....
But now Smiley I just think that she was a bitch : P
And no longer struggle through that.

Damn 3 years :O That must've been serious. I'm a raging type so I wouldn't let it slide that easy. If she just broke up with me, ok her loss, but sleeping with my friend behind my back, stealing my shit, that deserves punishment!

KARMA is best punisher for all of those Bitches. Smiley

If bitch has brain - after few years she will understand that she is a bitch and she will realize what she has done very bad thing. That would be so sad to her Smiley and could make her life more misarable than if you will punish her earlier.

If bitch has no brain - shes worthless anyway and time you wasted on punishing her is wasting your time:)

U must be a real loser when your gf breaks it up over sms

Karma would be the absolute most appropriate bitch if it ever happened to you in the future.

We don't know the OP too much from his original message but I can tell you this: Breaking up by text is never okay. It shows just how much confidence she lacked and I bet you she was either a vicious bitch or a complete push over who can't face real world problems. Either way, she's in the wrong; not the OP.
At least he shouldn't let her get away with it. Teach her some respect.

The best way to "teach" someone after a hurtful break up is to move on with your own life and succeed on your own terms without looking back.

Getting revenge would feel great in the moment but most things he'd do wouldn't teach her anything. I mean, she broke up by text... So not exactly the woman with the most principles in the world.

...And to also get revenge  Grin. But I like the Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves bit of wisdom. But yeah, a girl who would dump you by text and just leave you like that isn't worth the time.

if you have that much coin, you should hold on to it for dear life, or you are gambling away a secure future.

I'd definitely be okay with gambling away a potentially rewarding future (holding BTC is by no means secure) if it gets me at least a good present.

you're right of course on this point. thanks for picking me up on it. i let my beliefs get in the way of trying to look out for bennybong.

I would go to Switzerland, since you are an UK citizen you can do it easier then me. If you do see language as a problem move to Canada, I like people there, it is cold, I'll tell you that, but it's nice in the summer. Move somewhere close to US border that is the warmest it will get. As for can you start a life with 15k yes, you can, but you'll have to start to work and work it up. People have gone to a new country with nothing and still got on top. Hope you find someone, it would make everything a lot easier! Wish you all the best!

you would take that 15,000 and use for car and living expensese untill you find a new job. that would be my advice or you could go gamble it up lol

Depending on where he'd go, no need for a car. OP had mentioned Canada as a potential destination and I can assure you that in Montreal/Toronto/Vancouver, you really don't absolutely need a car. It could help every now and then but if you're looking to limit your expenses, you can skip having a car easily. It'd be the first thing I'd cut.

never make a big decision just after a big loss. you need a holiday, sure, maybe a long one, but shelve emigrating till you've recovered.

if you have that much coin, you should hold on to it for dear life, or you are gambling away a secure future.

Yeah, I'm not sure what he meant either...

OP, will you keep us posted as to your decision? Looks like it could inspire a few others around these parts, too.

I think doing a great traveling adventure would be a better move than actually moving at this point.

Either way, do whatever's right!

Go traveling, take a lot of drugs, cry all the water out of your body, have lots of casual sex, then come home and try to get back on with your life.

So basically she took your friend, people you knew (as she's seeing them like nothing has happened), and all your stuff. I'd be enraged Cheesy First thing I'd do is meet with that sad excuse of a friend you had and beat the shit of him for fucking that whore behind my back, then I'd plan some prank for her Cheesy That'd make me feel much better. If she took stuff you paid for and you have receipts just call her to give it back or you'll go to the cops.

I heard Canada is great if you're looking for a job, the climate - not that great. Australia seems better, at least you can crash on the beach if you have nowhere else to go. Good luck mate!

I came home to an empty house. She'd taken everything, even the sofa. She left a TV and my PC, that is all.

What would you do in my position and with 15k to blow...?

Was all that stuff hers to take? I'd just take break and go on a holiday. I think if you choose to start a new life so quick after something like this you might regret it.

I think that £15k is definitely a good start to begin living elsewhere. Obviously, you'd be better off with more, but it's still a considerable sum.

I have no clue about Australia, but Canada may be an option. Vancouver (nicest city, IMO) is pretty expensive but if you don't mind living in a smaller city in Eastern Canada (think some parts of Ontario and Quebec), £15k is plenty to get a decent apartment and live for a few months without a job.

Either way, good luck! That's one Hell of a shit sandwich you got dealt.

Dumping you by text is fucking weak. I don't know if I would recommend it, but if I was you I'd severely beat your traitorous ex-friend. I think you'd feel better.

And I don't know if you should make such a rash decision with emigrating at the moment, but go travelling for a while instead and see where your head's at then.

I have been forced out of my own life and left to just apparently accept all this shit. It's hard to take!
I went away for a while when this all happened. She said 'she just needs some space to think about what she wants' I never thought that she wouldn't want me, after all she always made me promise I would never do something like this to her! Fuck!
So I went away, stupidly thinking she would be there waiting, at our house.

I came home to an empty house. She'd taken everything, even the sofa. She left a TV and my PC, that is all.

So I've had to spend a week in an empty house with nothing but my own thoughts. No one around to talk too. It hasn't been nice. I've been a real mess. Everything around here reminds me of what I had. I have been forced to move to my brothers house as the lease ran out at the end of Jan. I am sleeping on the floor of a shared house (7 people live here). I don't have any time or space to think about things, let alone act on them. I had trust issues anyway before this happened. Can you imagine how I feel after the person I trusted the most has done this to me? I'm back in a place I hoped I would never be ever again. Rock bottom.

My only option in my head, for me to get any better and to stop thinking about all that is going on is to get out of here. The UK is cold and miserable, and very hard to get anywhere when you're starting at the bottom. I need a break.

I have around £10-15k in bitcoin at my disposal. Where the hell do I go from here? I want to emigrate somewhere nice and start a new life away from all the shit. I was thinking Canada or Australia are my best bets as I can get VISAs easily and everyone speaks english. Am I being stupid to think I can start a new life on 15k? I just want somewhere to work and live, far away from here.

Any advice is much appreciated... Where do you live and what is life like there? Sell it to me... I'm up for anything. I need some fun and adventure!

What would you do in my position and with 15k to blow...?
