Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction -

We operate a play 2 earn game out of Japan called Crosslink (on App/Google Store)and recently we've made it possible for ERC20 token creators to put their token into the game and use it as a promotional platform to our users (7000+ DAU / 250k downloads). Been contacting various tokens to see if they're interested but not getting much success and thought I'd reach out to the forum to see if you had any ideas. Btw BTC was the first coin that you could earn in the game so thought itd be ok to post in here  Wink

Would crazy appreciate it if you had any thoughts! Thank you!

Can you withdrawal to a BTC wallet? This is very good.

For ERC-20, I believe you can do , even if it is expensive as examplens said. You can just increase the minium withdrawal and the fees inside the game to allow people to withdrawal.

There are games such as https://spllnterlends.com/ which allows many blockchains to withdrawal, including ERC20 (probably few users will use it, as it is expansive)

we make a wallet for the specific token in-game and they withdraw to that - from there on, any wallet that can take an ERC20 basically..thanks for the recommend, I'll take a look!

there have been significant changes to the Ethereum network, but I remember a period when token transactions were too expensive, plus too slow. maybe in the future that won't be the case, but because of that I would always avoid the ERC20 network for some more aggressive utilisation. There are certainly faster and cheaper alternatives.
of course, you know what is possible and what not to implement in your system.
Just my $0.02.

and appreciate your 2c! think the costs are manageable but as you say, there are faster/cheaper alternatives so perhaps that's one for the next update!

Are you referring to this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.platinumegg.crosslink ?

How did you contact them and what is your proposition? Based on the reviews I can see that some users are not happy with the game itself, hence if you charge them a lot to put their token there they won't be interested. There are other media where new projects can easily do their marketing, I think it will be difficult to compete with them because they can provide awareness for 'free' (Twitter, for example).

What if you just add support for every new token launch, but take fees if anyone uses the token? That way you don't have to wait for another party to start collecting fees. But I think the urgent issue is to improve the game if the feedback from the users is to be trusted.

yes thats the one - tho reviews are better on the App Store for some reason..contacting them via email to start with then digging a bit deeper after. Agree that improving the game itself is the way forward but hoping some projects can find approaching 000s of in-game users (and the Japan market) interesting! Thanks for the idea!

Try contacting new gaming launches that are coming up, they may collaborate with you in some way and can help you out with what you need. Try to contact their marketing manager as that's the only source that will respond to you quickly. You can also check Services part on this forum to see if someone can help you with your requirements. Alternatively, check out 'Alternate cryptocurrencies' part on the forum as you may find various other games and tokens whom you may want to collaborate with.

thanks for the suggestions! new game launches and new token launches is probably the way - so Ill look into the 'Alt crypto' part on the forum too Smiley

[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope
As far as I know, implementing tokens into games requires a special ERC20 contract that is dedicated to one game from the start so that tokens have economic value based on token development. Adding existing tokens will not help the game system in depth, only serves as a prize payment (and even then "bluechip" tokens are needed so that players are really interested).

Instead, you need to set up a game-based dedicated token development team so that you have your own unique token and allow for token adjustments and upgrades at your own pace.
