You indeed highlight some of the concepts I have hoped to understand about the DEX here but let me ask, what is it the concept behind there matching protocol, given that there are none intermediary in these transactions which stands as an assurance on transaction completion.

Yes i think they have some problems with government and the team promise working on it. Hope it come back stronger. Of a true i used it some months ago and its very wonderful experience.

Evidently, the lack of some central authority to aid in some investigation as per regulations is what would always be the issue here.

agreed with the statement, also fee depends on the scalability of the blockchain as well.
blockchain like solana is so crowded yet fee still minimum compared to ETH.

but one thing that OP need to watch out, be sure to set slippage tolerance at minimum as it can be if you are using L2 with relatively low tx which equates to lower fee.
personally I just don't bother I just go to the most crowded L2 just for the sake of liquidity.

because imagine you are paying low fee yet the slippage is 5%, you literally lost the 5%.

It depends on the token you want to swap because not all token run in all chain, if you're looking for cheapest network, just pick the unknown one lol. The emptier the network, the cheaper the network.

Personally I use:

Ethereum: dYdX
Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon: 1inch
BNB: Biswap
Solana: Jupiter

If it's only about Dex, I think the Base platform is okay for me: Jupiter, Quickswap, Uniswap, Arbitrum, and Sol. These are just a few that I think are safe to use.

Of course, apart from the fact that you are in control compared to the CEX platform, what is your other reason for wanting to use the Dex platform?

Never used it myself, and only some time was spent on Uniswap, so, thanks for the suggestion! If you had an experience with bigger Dexes, so to speak, did you feel the difference between them?..

What I do know is that BASE is pretty big in L2 space, and even though ARB has the lower transaction cost, Base does have a bigger profit saying about it in gross terms, as well as making a bigger buck than OP.
It's also backed up by Coinbase.

Never worked with Base that much, however, I do think in all the cases, the fees would be very small.. So small you wouldn't relly mess with them and would need to do it. The arbitrum and SOl would be the smallest, as far I know, but I may be wrong Grin

plenty of big dex like uniswap and so on also deploy their contract in L2 Ethereum like base, arbitrum and optimism.

if what you seek is something that is EVM compatible, try L2 like base, they are really cheap and just use the most reputable DEX like uniswap.

if you prefer non-EVM chain use SOL and just use most reputable DEX in there as well like jupiter.

probably gonna cost you few cents or even less.
