What's the problem with an unobtrusive sig link?

As someone who will probably sign up for a TH account at some point, I will be wanting that 10% discount and for that I'll need someone's referral code.

If I read a particularly insightful and/or helpful post... the codes in signatures will make it easier to make sure my commission goes to someone who deserves it, instead of having to PM them, wait for a reply, blah..etc

A true competitor to MtGox (which appears to offer better features at this point) isn't just another bitcoin service.  it's going to get really annoying because people can't help but spam their code in every thread

Rational Exuberance
This isn't the first bitcoin service with a referral program, and the others haven't been a problem (you mostly see the referral codes in people's signatures).

Of course, to contradict myself, this thread needs a referral code, for anyone who learns about http://www.tradehill.com here. I believe it should give you a 10% discount on all your fees: TH-R1168

From what I've gathered, using an affiliate code for Tradehill (new mtgox competitor) gives the referring account a percentage of the referred account's fees, as well as a discount to the referred account.

We are going to get the crap spammed out of our forum with these things and there should be a policy against it, IMO.
