It‘ｓ a very difficult problem for me,but I have to think it.
I will agree with this statement because most part of African countries have arable land where commercial scale agriculture can be explored
If you'd find a way to irrigate the Sahara with seawater without salt I guess there would enough food also for aliens.
This is a really wonderful idea, but It seems like some power ( I believe its political ) is trying to stop/blocking it but indeed a Savannah is good for agricultural land. If anyone/ any company will establish this, then it will be a hope for whole Africa.
Savannas are good for agriculture. But there is a major obstacle in starting large-scale agricultural projects. First of all the rainfall is not high enough to allow intensive agricultural activity. Irrigation projects can be undertaken, but river Nile is already over-utilized. And the other rivers such as Congo and Niger are too far away that no viable irrigation project can be designed.
I believe technology could be used to tap water underground. However difficult it is, it should be possible. I don't believe all these lands should be left without harnessing their goodies. After all men build on sea....lol

Africa’s savannas cover a mind-boggling 600 million hectares of which 400 million hectares are cultivable. Despite the potential for Africa to succeed in agriculture it is still unarguably the continent with the hungriest population. Isn't it time for agricultural investors to explore the opportunities available in Africa? Mechanised farming and agriculture in Africa could contribute significantly to the world's food basket and thus prevent famine in the future.
