Your method 1 should work. But,
I agree with the others. Instead of using blockchain.info as your endpoint, use Electrum instead.
It requires less than 50 mb of space and it's certainly more anonymous than using an exchange's wallet.
We don't know what sorts of data the exchange itself is keeping track of so..

Why don't give a try for electrum? Its super light weight desktop wallet, you don't have to download 80-90 Gb from core.

And I can say its secured, you can use its multi signature to keep your anonimity.

Why are you using an online wallet if you want to remain anonymous? Use a decent wallet software where only you control the private keys.
Using one mixing service is more than enough.
Delay the transactions and send the output to multiple addresses.

You can have multiple addresses for one wallet or one blockchain.info account.
Don't use blockchain.info
Reusing the same address twice is the best way to ruin your anonymity.
