even many kyc ICO projects dont take kyc from bounty participants .
so why airdrop project want this from us , it is not safe to share private details with anyone for few tokens .
we will be in trouble if data is misused .

Of course no, I would never give my sensitive & personal details to unkown people on the internet(probable scammers).
You can't be sure about what they might do with it.If you don't want your documents to end up at darknet then don't!

Those airdrops are worth shit, probably started just for those KYC docs.Sick.

Voted No.
I don't ever want to share/give my ID to any of airdrops and I don't ever trust anyone who willing to sell their ID just  only for some bucks.

What's with airdrops and KYC?
While selling personal information is illegal, it seems that some guys have found a way how to buy these info's on legal way(trough airdrops).

I am asking you, who is willing to sell their personal information for couple of dollars worth airdrop - because that is what it is, and why?

I'll run a little poll here.
I recently joined a bounty campaign that required KYC, and now that I have read this I'm quite worried.
But for airdrops? I don't think I have joined one that requires KYC and for a few tokens I do not think it is worth my time. Joining the telegram group and giving them a follow is I think enough for the few tokens. After all, we aren't even sure if that token will be successful so why give our identity?

That's right don't sell your personal information just for Airdrop or others. Your personal data is very important, so very careless if given to others.

I know that, almost all Airdrop now uses KYC, where to make it must provide an identity card.

Personally, I'm not interested in following this kind of giveaway. I always maintain my privacy against others, especially in the world of cryptocurrency known as anynomous.

I think that KYC can be used for bounties but not for airdrops

For me is not worth it Im already do that Im just sacrifing my few bucks for bounty tokens because i dont trust the way they handled KYC, as far as i know Blockchain is decentralized technology the main purpose of the technology is to decentralized and  this KYC must be Decentralized too  is it better that those Handling KYC is also decentralized so that we controlled our own KYC data* I know that KYC is required by governments but it must be not centralized third Party*

Its not even considered to be bought informations yet those tokens isnt still sure if they would able to get their value or just ending up on a shit or dead coin. KYC on airdrops is total bullshit and i would say its just a scam. Why would they require such documentation or KYC policy yet were are not investors? We are just aridrop hunters and do only get some very very small amount which isnt really suited to comply those rules. If you find out these KYC thingy on airdrops then we should skip on that one.

just for few tokens which are not even worth to share our KYC , we should not risk our data with unknown projects .
i skipped polymath airdrop only for this reason , they asked ID proof after everyone participated in airdrop .

i really love joining on airdrops and i dont really care at all giving my important infos such as my email , eth adresses , social media acounts username , etc but when it comes to kyc or deeper personal infos such as i.d or picture and real name , address , etc , phone number. I think i wont do that job because that is already risky and your identity can be used for any other illegal activities , resulting for you to become a criminal.

This has been advised by the various people but the people doing Airdrops does not aware that their informations will be stolen on it accordingly. Better you can join in some bounties to make money with that. None of airdrops sure to get the tokens for you.
Apart from that you guys may find the some people created the thread for giving active coins in airdrops.
That is the perfect scam try. Please you guys don't get trapped because of that.

I wasn't even really into airdrops that required more than an email, so I'll definitely be passing up on KYC unless I actually LIKE the project. I foresee huge drops in participation for airdrops, but so much the better for everyone. Less spam, less people creating 50 accounts to collect a few dollars in free tokens, less dumping of tokens... perhaps finally leading to less useless projects all looking like exact copies of each other and trying to "revolutionize" whatever industry they think they're in.

Obviously I wont give my personal information that could be used against me and obviously that is KYC. Worst is for airdrop, I think no amount that airdrop could pay my identity. Thanks but no thanks.

Through KYC certification to drop activities such personal information is irresponsible, because a lot of cheater is in using the in the mind of people want to drop, to fraud, illegal access to personal information and then sell them to some people in need, I think to do this, not worth! There's no good for me!
