'Make money for free'

They are certainly not free, you fill up forms and usually they require some tasks to be completed (like following on social media, retweet, etc), so it's literally some work exchanged for money (and most of time airdrop tokens don't have much value).
YES. We have to spend time working on it. I mean we do not have to spend our money on airdrop.

Currently, airdrop is the way many people choose to make money in their spare time. But many people spend a lot of time but they have no token and they are scammed.
Unfortunately, many have been scammed or duped when it comes to the airdropping process. Here is an awesome guide depicting some best practices to follow to safeguard yourself when participating in airdrops:

1.Don't share your private information : do not give away your private information. Use a secondary email address if necessary
2.Never share your private key : No one needs your private key. Airdrop are free
3.Do your homework and read reviews if they exist : Do research on an airdrop before participating
4.Don't click suspicious links : Always make sure you are on the official source of the airdrops, and avoid suspicious links
5.Warn others if it does not go as expected : Share your experiences with the crypto-community

Airdrops are supposed to be free, and a requirement to send coins in exchange for native coins is highly likely a scam. Always check out the validity of announcements and social media accounts before participating in an airdrop. It is essential to perform some due diligence before making a final decision on whether or not to participate.

GOOD LUCK FOR YOU !
All of that information will surely help others specially to those who are beginners here. The most important to that is never ever give our private key to anyone because private key is only belongs to us. We are the one who needed to know it, handled it and taking care of it and making it always safe just to make sure that our investments in our wallet is very safe. Airdrop is just giving a free token so that's true that we don't need our private information in their so be careful in giving informations to others so we can be much safer.
