I think the OP is commiting fallacy of hasty conclusion, can you tell me the number of people that are into Crypto for now, even most of the people in the developed world see Crypto has a joke or scam. Anyone can invest into any ICO project but the first is that you understand the space and not invest blindly, remember Onecoin

Funny Africa is always a case study when it comes to underdeveloped country.but the perception people have about Africa when it comes to crypyocurrency is way wrong. I am from Africa and taking my country Nigeria for example the rate at which people are embracing the cryptosphere is astrominal.changing from crypto to our local currency is as simple as ABC which is actually the first question people want to know when u first tell them about crypyocurrency.sure it's still a virgin land when it comes to crypyocurrency but the rate of adoption is really impressive that while laud projects like everex which is targeting the remittance industry to excel in Africa.it will stop the fraud been perpetuated by the like of mini gram and western union on Africans in diaspora

I am from Africa and I can tell you that Africa is embracing Cryptos and blockchain technology. There are several seminars going on everywhere. Young people are getting involved with bitcoin. In fact, ABJcoin, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2260840.0; , will be launching soon.

As much as Africa suffers from lack of infrastructure, it is also important that the people would have a good disposition to these things.

Auroracoin was a good idea, and pretty cool, but it doesn't seem that it actually accomplished the goals that it set out to accomplish. Iceland doesn't use it, their citizens are using bitcoin if they want crypto, not auroracoin. Iceland is a developed and well off country with educated people and computers everywhere. If it didn't work there, l don't see how this idea could possibly work in the middle of Africa.

That's why l don't think anyone is trying to do it, but maybe someone did try and we just don't know about it because it was a failure.
That's an intersting way to look at it and it makes a lot of sense. If it doesn't work in Iceland, why would it work in Africa? Since most African countries still aren't fully developed it will be hard to make such a project work. Since there isn't a lot of infrastrucure available it will be very though. But that doesn't mean it can't succeed.

It is not something done by a unknown group of skilled people, you need a lot of good connection and reputation to pull something that big.

Africa in particular, has seen underdevelopment in a very gross way in the past. Considering the possibilities of the future, it is also believed that an economic engine is yet to storm the world from Africa.

Blockchain has become the future. Everything is suddenly disruptive. Is Africa again about to suffer another 1000 years of blackness or are some folks willing to help her in the civil age of economic wars.
