The cryptocurrency network is uncertain and we cannot expect things to happen as we predict. It is all about the market variations. Some used to grow on dumping and some don't. Only thing need to be considered is to get into legitimate airdrops as more airdrops were provided free.

I agree on your atatement that sometimes they ruin it by dumping. However I dont agree that airdrops should be banned. It is an easyw ay of having coins and also easy way in participating in crowdsales. If you remove airdrop, less people would be interested in ICOs especially so those who have to capacity to buy coins.
If we can regulate airdrops please do so. I guess we should invest more on empowering ico so that we will not rely mostly on airdrops.

The noobs get free money, while the serious investors benefit from the price rise, which will naturally occur when the user-base expands as a result of the airdrop. And not all of those who receive airdropped coins dump them right-away. Most of them keep at least 20% to 50% of the coins for long-term.
Agreed on what you have said, Airdrops are beneficial for both kind of people and the true and solid investors benefit from this because when the noobs start to dump those precious tokens or coins real investors would buy it in a very cheap price and both will be happy, the noobs earned some money and the investors will profit in the future. Both people will be happy in this process and when the time all the tokens and coins are dumped by the noobs it is the time for the investors turn to make the price rise again.
Yes, it happens most of the time were airdropped tokens are the cause of the dumping. It happens always after the token has been listed on its first exchange. It may be a bad thing at first, but for me it's an opportunity for real investors to acquire more token for a cheaper price than the ICO.

In general, no, I do not agree. Not everyone who receives an airdrop is going to dump it immediately (personally, I don't do it). A good project will not be ruined by it. Yes, there are some projects that disappear shortly afterwards, but I think they were designed to do so. Moreover, a short decline in price after airdrop or ICO may be a good thing for investors who believe in the project: they can get more tokens or coins cheaply. Remember, when someone is dumping, someone else is buying these.
Airdrops serve a real purpose of spreading the token into circulation and it's a form of marketing, getting the right community and members to back a token is really important just as important as initial investors.

i would say yes my friend, because i think many coin will be good fot bitcoin in the next future, and we can still make profit of bounty and airdrop, that can be out bounus beside our trading in cryptocurentcy

I am also not a big fan of the free coins that are awarded to people when there is a fork. , because I am a strong believer that people have to work for their money.

As long as it is a legit coins, even if some people you get their coins from airdrops dumps it all, it will still recover after several days if the coin is really good.

I know what you feel but that's how the cycle of projects, ICO and token distributions are happening. I partly agree. However, if one project will include the buyers of the tokens in the airdrop then I think there would never be a problem. We all know that airdrop is now being used as a marketing strategy to generate awareness for the program as well as to build a sizable community which can be critical especially after the ICO phase of the project. As in anything in life, there will always be advantages and disadvantages and it is all up to the project's team to manage and balance all the issues and concerns. As for me, I would not be complaining to be receiving some airdrops from time to time.

just let it be. it's good advertising for crypto space as a whole. i just hope that they really do give the tokens for free. i have participated in at least 7 but have got no tokens so far. earliest i can get is a month from now. so we'll see if they really give those for free
