@OP: I think you should better know that 98% of ICO projects are scam and only 1% is legit and 1% failed ICO projects or you can refer to coyster's reply that finding good/legit ICO projects that can survive is the same as finding a needle in a haystack how much more if you are finding the right needle to use in a needle stack.
That's why some great project are still conducting IEO and airdropping are performing well. Most ICO are scams which we all know, and of course ICO's are long dead. There must be alternative and credible means of raising funds for crypto startups

I think it is still ok to use an ICO. If a project is legit and not a scam then it won't matter. But for us as investors it might be more difficult to get over the taint that ICO has. ICO is not bad. It just has had so many scams involved. People are still new to crypto and we all still very early so these scams will run about for a while to come before people start becoming more aware and the industry "settles" itself.

If you have to earn something then it is not free. You might be able to get the same amount of $$$ value as someone who is investing directly but that doesn't make it free. I will only do a bounty for projects I believe in and like the look of. Sometimes dumping early is a great way to get profits since you can buy up all the dumped coins for next to nothing and hold. If it is a good project you will profit greatly in the months to come.

There are also Airdrop sites for crypto with great airdrop offers from projects. Bounty is hard on bitcointalk, because of the level.

Level ?

Many bounty hunters do invest in ICO project also. You can't just conclude that they are only after free tokens/coins. The bounty hunters play a very vital role in ICO's, without them your project won't attract much investors

When the project team itself don't have trust on their token after the sale then how can the bounty hunters will hold their free coins for the for the development of the token. If the project team really want to save dump from the Bounty hunter then pay them with other cryptocurrencies then your token will not get dumped on any exchanges.

- To make a successful ICO this day is impossible.
It's possible but the chance became lower since last year. It has been abused and many scammers landed on the ICO marathon and that made many investors learned from their experience of avoiding it until now.

Project are facing hard time to get it out with their features and marketing.

- To make a successful ICO this day is impossible. Not many project live that can do it in a way to gather founds necessary for development.
- Many switched to bounty and airdrops - but today they are attracted only to bounty hunters that has not contribution attitude. Collecting the coins with as little effort as possible and when project stops sending out coins/tokens mostly are dumped on exchange.

I am missing projects awareness and contributing in crypto space. It seems the majority are there only for grabbing some more and not thinking about crypto space developing.

Now there are alternatives to ICO, namely IEO and STO, the concept is the same as ICO, namely the release of new coins. but there are differences such as certainty of entering the trading market, regulations, and developer clarity. so it's as if ICO evolved

I think this topic belongs in the Altcoins discussion board. There are tons of topics about bounties over there.

Project are facing hard time to get it out with their features and marketing.

Raising funds for development has become easier again with the introduction of IEOs. I haven't seen a failed IEO so far.

It's either bounties and airdrops or paying some youtube influencer to shill review their project. Some do both.

I am not against free coins/tokens but we need to change members behavior to get involved as a community and contribute into marketing development.
Yep, more concerned hunters are needed. Bounty coins/tokens are not entirely free though. Hunters offer their services to promote in exchange of those tokens which is similar to what online advertisers do.

I am mostly thinking here about a good project that has great and transparent team excluding all the ones that just try to build a project for exit scam.
Finding such projects is like looking for a needle in a haystack, I think it's time to forget about ICOs and move on with the bitcoin, except of course one wants to keep taking stupid risks that only spell the obvious in the end.
but we need to change members behavior to get involved as a community and contribute into marketing development.
The odds are 99% You'll(we'll)only end up marketing scam projects to people, not just worth the risk.
