Mods can we lock this topic now? The bitcoin conference is long over.

Discussion can move to another thread.

I have never seen mods locking other people’s topics. Have you seen it before? I have seen them deleting spam messages and topics though.

People can continue to post in this topic for the next 10 years unless the OP locks it himself. Mods can’t do anything about it.

I can't confirm that Trump is really interested in bitcoin and cryptocurrency, maybe he is just trying to convince us to vote for him.
No body can confirm that unless Trump gets elected as the president of the America. I'm pretty sure if he gets elected as president then he'll keep up his promises because if he somehow tries to take U-turns after getting elected then consider that as the end of his political career.

When compare to Kamala, I still believe that Trump is the one who may do something good for crypto community and with that belief I hope that Trump may get more votes than Kamala and win the elections. I must say that if he might take U-turns then we should get a lesson that never trust a politicians promises.

He will say anything, do anything, and go along with anything right now in order to get elected and save his own ass. He dont care about you or Crypto/Bitcoin. Could care less. Vivek whispered in his ear how to get more votes and to support the crypto community. You think he'll care afterwards? NOT.

The election is not over yet and no one can predict the future, including you. You are no different than us, just making predictions about what you think will happen so don't make any claims here. Trump may or may not keep his promise, no one knows. But Harris will certainly continue the same crypto crackdown policy as Biden did. That means if we vote for Trump, we still have a chance because no one knows what he will do after he is elected. Meanwhile, if we vote for Harris, it means we will accept more repression.

Any politician is willing to say anything to achieve his goals, everyone knows that, people are not as naive as you think. But do we have a better choice? We only have two candidates, why don't we vote for the one who will give us a chance instead of the one who will surely continue to hold us back?

Kamala Harris just want to avoid unnecessary damage for her support before the election. She will choose events where she can show her strength, not weakness. In Bitcoin Conference, Kamala actually does not have good opportunity to deliver convincing speech and she will like fail against Donald Trump.

Smelling this risk is enough for Kamala to stay away from Bitcoin Conference this year because should never join it and say things oppositely to what she did previously months before taking over the nominee position from Joe Biden.

I am honestly bored of the Trump and Bitcoin talk, but I can also admit that the Biden administration with Kamala Harris as vice has been anti-bitcoin for the most part of it.
It's another reason Kamala should not join the conference, at least don't join it will help her to avoid additional damage on her election program for very last months before the election. She accept to give up this conference and only can hope that Trump won't successfully convince many participants there, but it's less likely Trump will fail with his speech ability.

I actually agree with this. I honestly think that she is low key pro-bitcoin. For her to campaign on it and shout it from the rooftops right now would cause division within the party before she gets elected and she would be stirring the pot. Dont forget, she is the VICE president and their main duty is to push and back the agenda of the President, not have her own. I think Biden hisself has no freakin clue and lets Warren and Waters and the rest of them within his administration go rogue. Which has been an obvious mistake. I also say this cause the man is 82 years old, doesnt hisself understand bitcoin and has become a pushover. Harris is pro innovation but imagine what would happen inside of her party if she campaigned on it now. She needs all the unity and energy she can get right now from her party. A risk I wouldnt take if I was in her shoes. She has the energy and attention span to deal with it after the election.

I don't care about how much money they raise from cryptocurrency, I only care about how many Americans are actually involved in cryptocurrency and the impact it has on the presidential election. Personally, I am also skeptical about this number , I do not believe that there are so many US citizens participating in cryptocurrency. I also tried to take the time to learn more and another result came from the FED survey, and according to the FED, only 18M people are investing in cryptocurrency.
If it is just from a survey then most likely there are more numbers than people want to let on. People who are associated with crypto values their privacy and are also aware of possible dangers of having a lot of people know you own crypto especially when it comes to the government. So a lot of people might have lied about whether they know or use crypto.
Quote
This number would be more relevant and as I said before, cryptocurrency is not a key or important factor in this election . But any candidate who knows how to take advantage of this small number of votes will help them increase their chances of winning .
I think even with the not so accurate numbers, crypto community is large enough to be considered by politicians as an important demographic. Many crypto enthusiasts or at least the ones I have seen seem to base their decision on how crypto friendly a candidate is. It will be smart for politicians to go for crypto users but crypto users should not believe these politicians too much.

You guys did kamala dirty, how do you expect her to come out and say anything about Bitcoin? Can you give statement on something you don't understand? So that you can take it all on her? So that you can end up turning her into a laughing stock?  Grin Grin Grin

Now that she missed this, some will surely drag her but I bet if she reason that supporting crypto community is the way, she will go back and do some digging just to have something to say maybe when a next opportunity arise.

Forget about Harris herself, what these fanatical Trump supporters are bent on doing is making 55% of the USA hate Bitcoin by associated it with Donald Trump.

Bitcoin has done quite well in the USA, and while there are mixed feelings about it, most people don't out and out hate crypto.

But these people are trying to tell every American:

Bitcoin == Donald_Trump

This is a terrible, terrible thing for the business.

Anybody interested the business of Bitcoin, and getting the price of Bitcoin to go up in price will do what real businesses do which is lobby both sides of US politics to get things done.

The people here complaining about Biden, Harris and other personalities are not interested in Bitcoin, they just want Trump to get elected because they love Trump and use this forum as an advertisement for their preferred candidate.

People who are serious about crypto talk about policies and not people and parties.

Trump will raise taxes on every American if he is elected:

TPC: Trump Tariffs Would Raise Household Taxes And Slow Imports

High taxes and trade wars are bad for Bitcoin.

Trump's plan to make abortion illegal in the USA will cause the US to create a new police state that will crack down on things like crypto, because millions of women in the US have abortions every year, and stopping them will be an effort similar--but much larger--than the old "war on drugs" that expanding the US police state immensely.

Police states are bad for Bitcoin.

Trump will deport 11 million people from the USA the minute he gets into office which will severely disrupt the US economy, and require, once again, a massive new police state the likes of which the US has never seen. To deport this many people, Trump will need to hire hundreds of thousand of new police across the USA, and he will severely weaken major US industries like construction, entertainment and hospitality, causing trillions of dollars in lost business.

Massive economic disruption is bad for Bitcoin.

Trump is now getting into the crypto business himself personally. In his first term he ordered the federal government to select his own businesses to patronize over less expensive options in order to funnel millions to himself. By taking over the crypto business in the US, Trump has figured out how to turn those millions into billions. As president he could very easily effectively outlaw Bitcoin and favor his own currency instead. Nobody in the crypto business would be safe from Trump if he is elected: if you make money, his business is going to want to take it, and he will have the US government on his side.

The US president corruptly taking over the crypto business for himself personally is bad for Bitcoin.

Bitcoin went up 500% under president Biden. The ETFs were approved under president Biden. There is no reason to make massive changes to the US economy and lifestyle, which is what Trump proposes.

Good for her that she isn't showing up, if not she would have created a big shame that will forever be in history, what did she know about Bitcoin anyway? She will say many wrong things, only someone who understand crypto and Bitcoin can publicly say something about them, she is just craving for attention to get voted for, its all part of a plan until she made it to the presidential sit and back bite on Bitcoin, she thus look and act like someone who will betray Bitcoin community later, trust me.

I don't understand the importance of the president of a county in terms of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin doesn't care about borders, it works anywhere.

It doesn't matter if some president like Bitcoin or not, a new block will be found in about ten minutes anyway...

As long as there are two people ready to send and receive Bitcoin, the transaction will happen.

No intermediaries needed, no presidents opinion needed.

The people you see here lying about the Democrats being against crypto are... Republicans who want abortion to be illegal in the US, not crypto advocates.

They are just using crypto as an excuse to pump their favorite candidate, Trump. Trump could be in favor of outlawing Bitcoin (and he very well might since he is competing with Bitcoin now), and these people would still want him elected because they think there is "baby murder" happening in the USA.

Bitcoin is legal in the USA and has done extremely well here. There is no reason to worry about US partisan politics--but those wanting their party to get elected will come here anyhow and advertise their party and make up lies about the opposition. But it has nothing to do with Bitcoin.

That graphic is both wrong (no chance its 52M) and misleading: almost all of the money raised is from a few billionaire Bitcoin whales.

There's probably about 50 votes in the USA that will be swayed by crypto policy (and keep in mind that Harris will be better for Bitcoin than Trump would be).

These politicians are after the money, not the votes.

But he is the only one who could provide something good results as he is the one showing some good moral support to the people who are into crypto industry. Trump wrote or signed into effect a terrible law dec 2017 which helped to  begin the 2018 crash and still affects every single crypto coin trade made in America. Since Jan 1 2018

every fucking single trade has a reporting duty and that my friends is directly the fault of Trump signing the bill against all like trades except real estate (oh his primary business)

Well, in these instances, it seems like Trump is really using all the bitcoin or crypto community in his campaigns because he knows that bitcoin really cannot be stopped in the future. We are not sure if this is just for personal interest because they are still in the campaign period for the coming election in the US.

But even so, Trump really has the advantage right now because of the promises he is making about Bitcoin, as long as I just pray that he will fulfill at least 40% or more of his plans about Bitcoin and other top altcoins on the market.

There is no doubt that this is definitely for personal gain and that is the nature of politicians. But at least we have a small chance if Trump is elected over Harris because we all know she is a member of the current administration and they are not friendly to us.

We can vote for him and we can hope that he has really changed his views on bitcoin and cryptocurrency, but let's not put too much faith in what he says. Because as president, he needs to introduce policies that benefit their economy and country. If it doesn't bring great benefits to the economy, they will never do it. Trump has promised a lot but to be honest, I find most of it exaggerated and not easy to implement.
We just need him to be more open with us, we should not expect him to focus most of his time on promoting the development of the cryptocurrency industry, cryptocurrency is not a key industry in their economics.

I am honestly bored of the Trump and Bitcoin talk, but I can also admit that the Biden administration with Kamala Harris as vice has been anti-bitcoin for the most part of it. There has been to many policies designed to frustrate bitcoin mining, privacy and decentralization. It would have been an ironic surprise for her to speak at a bitcoin conference.

The 4 years of Trump was better than the last 4 years but was also not exactly pro-bitcoin. Leaving nothing to suggest that he will push the network forward if he wins.

- Jay -

Not only our forum, topics about Trump and bitcoin are flooding social networks, especially X, the social network where the majority of users are cryptocurrency investors.

Indeed, we have no guarantee that Trump will push the network forward if he is elected, but as you also acknowledge, the Biden administration is anti-bitcoin and Kamala Harris may maintain that position. The topic of Trump may become boring but clearly supporting him can create new opportunities for us beyond what the current administration is creating.

This is a big conference, the attendees are mostly strong bitcoin supporters, so let's wait and see what Trump will say and how people will react to it.

I think that Trump is trying to get votes from crypto enthusiasts. To be honest, I think it isn't worth the effort to work on crypto audience votes because their number is tiny and it's 50/50 whether crypto holders will really vote for Trump for his crypto vision or not.

Not only Trump but even the Democratic Party has created a campaign called Crypto4Harris with the aim of attracting cryptocurrency voters to support their candidate. Both are trying to win the votes of crypto enthusiasts, they want to capitalize on each vote as it can also change the electoral landscape.

I don't know if this information is true but according to a Coinbase survey, they say that there are 52 million people in the United States who own cryptocurrency. If that is true, it is not a small number and Trump would not be wrong to focus on winning votes from this group of voters.

Until Trump is elected, no one can tell yet what the implementation of his campaign promises regarding bitcoin adoption would be. Most politicians have this strategy of making promises to appeal the interest of the public, but when they get there, they find it difficult to implement most of those promises made by them.

When you ask me, I will say I'm more confident on Trump implementing policies which will favor the crypto community than Kamala will. Trump is more stubborn to powers at the top than Kamala will be. The advantage of having such leader is they tend to favor the public more when they plan to implement policies which will reflect on the interest of the citizens. I am also confident he will achieve his promises because he had led the country in the past, so he understands the intricacies of ruling the people than someone who possesses no experience.

I mean it's clear that Kamala Harris is not after the "may change their vote based on crypto stance" folk,

She isn't, and neither is Trump--because there is virtually zero votes for such a thing. Very few Americans even care about their Bitcoin holdings to the point that they would think about it politically at all, and even the ones who do aren't going to trade away their rights to a their own body (Trump's promised abortion laws) just to make their Bitcoin go up a little.

What both are going after is crypto donations from billionaire Bitcoin whales.

Btw from which billionaire Bitcoin whales do they expect donations? I can't think about any of them. Most of the whales are anonymous, aren't they? And the rest of them are exchanges, mixers and casinos.

Under Biden, ETFs for Bitcoin and Ether were approved, and Bitcoin went up 500% under president Biden.
This has absolutely nothing to do with Biden or Trump or Barack Obama. It's a post-halving syndrome.

many banks failed, and we saw the collapse of major banks in 2022 as the crisis peaked.

What are you talking about? What banks failed?
Republic First Bank, Silicon Valley Bank, Silvergate Bank and Signature Bank...these are just a few typical large banks and if you accept the truth and take the time to learn, you will see that many other banks have declared bankruptcy under the Biden administration.

Silicon Valley Bank had some issues, but it did not fail:

https://www.svb.com

But banks go out of business all of the time, just like any other business. What could Biden have possible had to do with this? And lots of banks failed during Trump's term as well, and every president before that.

Quote

It can be said that under Biden, they have created countless problems from economic to military when they failed to prevent the wars between Russia and Ukraine, Israel and Gaza...causing a series of instability in the world.

Biden did not attack Israel, Hamas did.

Biden did not attack Ukraine, Putin did.

No US president could have prevented these things.

We all know that America has a say in these wars and they can end the war any time they want. Both Israel and Ukraine are serving the United States and are completely dependent on them.
Just because you can't do it doesn't mean others can't do it either, let Trump be elected and we will see the difference immediately.

So the USA controls the minds of every tyrant and terrorist in the world. Who knew.

And even better, the US president can dictate whether they attack or now.

But the most insane is this: you trust a senile old man who is a convicted criminal and tried to overthrow the US government as your savior. A man who inherited his money and lost half of it, and was an absolutely terrible businessman even though he ripped off everybody who was around him. A man who can no longer speak in complete sentences and who speaks in front of dwindling crowds in incoherent ways talking about windmills and Tivo.

You trust Trump: that's the craziest part of all.

Quote

No matter who becomes the president of the United States, the cryptocurrency market will still grow because no one can stop its growth.
But if Trump is elected, we will definitely see the market explode further thanks to his pro-crypto policies.

You will see pro-Trump policies and that's it. Trump will make Bitcoin illegal because it competes with his crypto business, and he will create the largest police state the US has ever seen in order to stop the millions of women having abortions every year.

And when the US economy tanks based on Trump's economic policies of deporting 5% of the workforce and eliminating our largest trading partner (China), Bitcoin will go down with the rest of the economy as well.

If you want abortion to be illegal in the USA, then vote for Trump.

If you want to deport 5% of the US workforce from the USA and disrupt the American economy, then vote for Trump.

If you want to enact massive tariffs on our trade with China, severely disrupting the US economy, then vote for Trump.

If you want to compete with the President of the United States and the US government in your crypto business, then... vote for Trump.

If you want the same environment where things have thrived in for the last four years, vote for Harris.

No matter who becomes the president of the United States, the cryptocurrency market will still grow because no one can stop its growth.
But if Trump is elected, we will definitely see the market explode further thanks to his pro-crypto policies. Also, if he gets elected, we will definitely see Gary Gensler step down and I believe all crypto investors want this to happen because everyone knows that he is a major barrier of the cryptocurrency industry. Gary himself admitted in an interview that if Trump is elected, he will resign.
I believe you have also seen what the SEC has done to the crypto industry over the years but you don't want to admit it because it is happening under Biden.

While Trump had a good opportunity to redefine himself, Harris needs to focus on a clear and positive representation, one that would gain her more votes. As there is an internal debate among Democrats on how cryptos should be treated, her taking a clear side might be divisive. Moreover, as Trump did that first, she'd be ridiculed for copycating his approach, not being her own person. So it's a tricky situation in which it might be better for her to remain vague. But perhaps it would be good to push her running mate Walz to say something welcoming about cryptos.

That inflation started under Trump and it was caused by the worldwide pandemic disrupting the world economy.

In response to this, Biden and the Democrats passed the Inflation Reduction Act, and now US inflation is at 2.9% and falling, which is basically normal levels.

What are you talking about? What banks failed?

Although things are gradually stabilizing with inflation falling to 2.9%, that does not mean they are safe because their economies are at risk of entering a recession if the Fed has policies that are not suitable for the current economy.

Yes, "if the Fed has policies that are not suitable for the current economy" then our economy will fall into recession. That is true now, before, and will be in the future no matter who is president.

There is no evidence we are headed toward a recession, and this week we have seen the very opposite indicators.

The crypto market here in the US is bigger than ever, we have the largest share of hashrate here, and there are more companies in the crypto space than ever.

I mean it's clear that Kamala Harris is not after the "may change their vote based on crypto stance" folk, because it's too niche and not really worth the time. Don't get me wrong, it's VERY important to us, but we are not that big and most of us are not even American like me. So that means, if she wants more votes, she needs to work on swing states city by city, to get the votes needed there and make a hype there.

Otherwise, we are only talking about a person who goes to some place where she can MAYBE get 100 votes, that's it, that's maximum she can hope, why work for that when she can instead spend her time trying to get thousands? That is why this was a good election move by her, terrible for us but definitely a win for her without a doubt.

And one thing we forgetting is Trump was against Bitcoin when he was in the driving seat, and suddenly he U-turns and wants to be the darling of BTC when we all know he is doing it for the numbers and financial support that comes with it

I can't confirm that Trump is really interested in bitcoin and cryptocurrency, maybe he is just trying to convince us to vote for him.

But it's unfair for us to look back at the past and judge their present. Let's not forget Larry Fink was also a person who despised bitcoin in the past and he also admitted that he missed the opportunity to buy cheap bitcoin but now his organization is a fund that buys large amounts of bitcoin every day. Not only him, there were also many people who hated bitcoin before but they changed their opinion about it, why don't we attack them, why do we only target trump? Meanwhile we have no evidence that he is lying or that he has actually changed his mind.

Also, do you think the current administration is as good to us as we expected?

He can do it because he actually recognized good things of Bitcoin and blockchain technology or he did such supportive words because of the coming election only. We will know if he gets elected as a next President of the United States and what he will actually do in next four years.

Speculating that he will do this, will not do that is all pure speculation that can be correct or inaccurate.

China is the main problem. Under Biden/Kamala the US has been way too soft on the Chinese manufacturers. Trump should bring trade-wars back and that's probably the only way to stop the Chinese from invading the Europe&USA with their cheap shitty electric vehicles. They are manufacturing cars for the price of a high end PC. Their production costs are nearly free. No country can compete with a beast like that on equal terms.

If Trump doesn't stop it, everybody that's not a China-man will end up being a slave for China.

Of course. The US has given too much power to China. And it's probably too late to do something about it. Taking action now would risk a global economic collapse. Especially when China is the second-largest economy in the world. Maybe moving production from China to the US will do the trick? Made in USA sounds a lot better than Made in China, imo. Japan is also an option (remember Made in Japan?).

As for crypto regulation, I think Trump will have a softer stance towards the industry than Harris. Trump's first term as president left crypto virtually "untouched", compared to the current administration. Ms. Harris is part of such administration, making her no different than her predecessor (Joe Biden). We'll see what happens. No matter who wins the race, nothing will be able to disrupt the crypto industry. That's assuming everything stays decentralized and censorship-resistant. 2025 here we come! Cheesy

The crypto industry already sided with Trump, anyways. Fingers crossed he wins the presidential race. Otherwise, crypto will move a step backwards under Kamala Harris' leadership. If the economy was in shambles during Biden's presidency, what makes you think Harris will be any better? Americans must choose wisely for the good of their country (and the rest of the world). Bitcoin went up 500% under president Biden.

The US economy is doing great, with low unemployment, low inflation, and with the stock market doing extremely well.

And no, "the crypto industry" is not a couple of billionaire Bitcoin whales who want abortion to be illegal in the USA so they support Trump with millions of dollars and use crypto as an excuse.

Real crypto businesses want things to continue as they are, not introduce a new president who wants to make radical changes to the US economy and... is getting into their business himself as Trump is.

No real business wants their main rival business to be the one own by the US president, which is what will happen to crypto businesses if Trump is elected.

I agree, Trump needs bitcoin more because he is taking advantage of its popularity to attract voters for himself, while bitcoin has existed since 2009 and has passed through many presidents. Although the Biden administration has had anti-bitcoin policies during his years in office, we can see that bitcoin is not affected too much. So whoever becomes president won't be able to stop bitcoin's potential, but by betting on Trump, we have a chance to move things forward faster and stronger.

I don't believe Trump can make bitcoin a US national reserve, but if that happens, it would obviously be a huge step forward for bitcoin, which is why I support him instead Kamal Harris or Biden.

Yes. It would be great if the US has its own Bitcoin reserves. Just like it had its own Gold reserves in the past. But first things first. Trump and his team would need to focus on cutting down domestic and foreign spending to put a halt on the rising national debt. Then we can talk about "reds and roses" with Bitcoin. Without a solution to the US' inherent economic problems, adopting BTC at its fullest won't make any difference.

The crypto industry already sided with Trump, anyways. Fingers crossed he wins the presidential race. Otherwise, crypto will move a step backwards under Kamala Harris' leadership. The 4 years of Trump was better than the last 4 years but was also not exactly pro-bitcoin. Leaving nothing to suggest that he will push the network forward if he wins.

Did we have a president for the past 4 years?  All I remember was some waxy old puppet with lord-knows-whose-hand up his back end, controlling things.

And not for nothing, but I was stridently anti-Trump well into his term and prior to his election I thought he'd end up starting WWIII....but all we really got was a lot of verbal bashing of the media and his obsession with building that friggin' wall on the Mexican border.  What the hell ever happened to that, anyway?

But hey, bitcoin is as resilient as the most evolved cockroach (an analogy I hate to use, but it's the first thing that comes to mind).  Don't matter who wins this race, miners will keep mining and the rest of us will go about doing our bitcoin business as usual.  Hopefully.

The way I see it now, it is Trump who needs Bitcoin more. It fits into the attempt to sell himself as a progressive candidate. Bitcoin will be fine for 4 years whoever is the president during that period.

Trump seems to be the one most Bitcoiners support.

This is not surprising. Especially when Harris is part of the anti-crypto Biden administration. Crypto supporters will view Trump favorably over Harris in this year's elections. He has shown huge interest in the emerging industry. A Trump win would be bullish for the crypto market. At least, that's what I think. The upcoming 2024 Bitcoin Conference is going to be huge. Makes sense. Kamala is anti-bitcoin and Trump is pro-bitcoin.

Why would Kama attend to the conference? People wouldn’t listen to her anti-bitcoin shilling. Lots of “Boooo”s and “Hooo”s would happen. In the end she would have to leave the conference with her tail between her legs.

It wouldn’t be a good look for her campaign.

Exactly, it will damage her and here political affiliations if suddenly he speaks on that conference. They are anti-bitcoin and imposing like taxes for the miners and even try to put pressure on SEC in the beginning to not approved a Bitcoin ETF.

In any case, the Bitcoin conference has started it's effect on the price, as we have a pump already from $65,000->$67,000.

Trump will be speaking on the last day, so we should be expecting that perhaps the price could go to $70,000, I reckon.
Not attending will still damage her, it is just that this is the lesser out of two evils, as you can make sure the Trump campaign will make sure to let people know that Trump is now in favor of bitcoin, or at least that is what he claims right now, and I have no doubts that this can have an effect on the independent voters, since more than anything what people care about right now is their own finances, and many of them have obtained great profits thanks to bitcoin and a strict regulation will damage their interests.

It was obvious she was not going to accept a last minute invitation. Vice Presidents don’t have much power to affect policy, so it’s a huge stretch to say she “actively” imprisoned developers. I’m not saying she’d be better than Biden but there are plenty of things to criticize her for during her time as California attorney general and US senator that it is not necessary to resort to political spin and propaganda.

Aside from being an Ordinal shitcoin scammer David Bailey is also a Trump bootlicker and will say whatever to promote Trump. If Trump wins, it will likely result in favorable business deals for his companies. Bailey’s concern isn’t with who Kamala might have imprisoned. If he could benefit financially from her presidency he would be the first to endorse her and any inconvenient details would be overlooked, just like how the Trump administration's persecution of Julian Assange has quickly been forgotten.

Not sure why Trump would go speak at a Bitcoin conference, which are mostly attended by libertarians, when he was loudly booed and jeered at the last libertarian conference he want to.

It would not be political suicide, but you would have to say it would be a very poor campaigning choice from Trump's staff. The news would be all over it.

I would rather call this conference "YUGE, the greatest bitcoin conference in the world. Trump may be pro-crypto but once he is elected, do you really think it would be easy to pass a crypto-related bill?

While Trump is happy to take money from suckers who will donate to his campaign in hopes of special favors after he's elected, the "Bitcoin vote" doesn't exist in any significant quantity in this election.

This year's election in the USA is going to be about abortion and whether it should remain legal like it has been or whether it should be criminalized nationwide.

Republicans think abortion is "baby murder", and would do anything to stop it, including voting for somebody who would ban Bitcoin that's what it took.

Democrats see the abortion criminalization Republicans want as a fundamental attack on their bodily autonomy, and more practically speaking, the end of safe sex in the United States because there's no recourse if one's birth control fails--so every act of sex in the country Republicans want must necessarily consider the possibility of there being a baby. And most people aren't in the position to have (another) baby. So hence Republicans are basically trying to... outlaw sex.

So it's "baby murder" versus the end of sex. Compared to those stakes, Bitcoin isn't even remotely on any voter's radar.

Bitcoin have come a long way in the last 4 years, withstanding plenty of attacks even though the policies have been terrible to say the least. There had been speculations that she did not believe in Bitcoin and she has admitted that Bitcoin is for criminals which I think is quite wrong and that would not give us the interest to support her ambition. If she speaks at the conference then she has to be in favor of BTC and otherwise, there is no reason for her to be there. Avoiding this event is better for her campaign than speaking at this conference. It's obviously for people who like BTC. It's not believable in any way if Kamala starts to become a Bitcoiner too.

A big percentage of US voters are crypto users so there's that which is like Trump securing his win. The social media people are just streaming Trump.

There are many versions of the story about her invitation and later decline. But if she had accepted the invitation at first, it might indicate that she might not be as strict as Joe Biden. I believe she was advised not to attend because sharing the same podium with Donald Trump can harm her reputation the way it happened to Joe Biden. She knows little about Bitcoin, so she might end up speaking ignorantly which will not be too good.

It could also be that she doesn't want to mend fences with the crypto community because she is not a supporter of the technology. If this was the case, then the crypto industry should be prepared for harsher policies if she eventually wins. It will be nice to hear what Trump wants to say in the conference.

Trump seems to be the one most Bitcoiners support.
