I was not aware of this, thank you OP. I am very late getting started, but it is really exciting to see BTC doing so well all around the world.

I started this topic before Bitcoin reached its ATH in USD terms. Now, that new ATHs have been broken in pretty much all currencies worldwide, this is no longer news and no further discussion is needed. Hence, I'm locking this topic.

Yup, it's true.
While everyone is focussing on the USD price, it almost went unnoticed that Bitcoin broke ATH in many other currencies, in fact, in the majority of the world (population-wise)

Bitcoins are really looking strong. Now we all are expecting when the price will break ATH price in USD. Many have already predicted that Bitcoins will go beyond 100k usd this time. If like this people keeps on buying the coin, then definitely the price will go really up. All long time holders are really happy by seeing this movement of the coin. Let’s see where Bitcoins finally stop.
Despite the high price people experienced from the market few days ago before the price reduced back to $62k for those who are still hodling their BTC to wait for the bull run to continue for them to see if the bull run will reach their target before they can sell to make profit.

I believe people will use this second bull run to know if the price will reach $100k before the end of this year or not, it will surely show in this current bull run that is preparing to take a speed from any moment from now to break into another ATH in this month of march.

I’ve been watching this actually and am surprised at how many currencies are seeing new highs in BTC.

Mee too. We are so Dollar-centred on this forum that it's easy to forget that other currencies exist. And I didn't realise that USD had gained so much against others.

What I found most interesting about this data is that the Mexican Peso seems to be the best performing currency lately. I won’t say why that is, but I think it very likely has something to do with the current immigration situation.

Haha. There could be some truth to it. Loads of people send USD back to Mexico, where they get exchanged for pesos driving up its value.
Or maybe it's just due to Mexico having a clumsy central bank, which is slow to react to market conditions. After all, the strengthening of a currency is not necessarily good for the economy and usually has a negative impact on export.

yeah it does show the dollar is still a solid fiat.

Woaaah - some countries have ATH bitcoin at the moment that's because the exchange rate to USD is high, but many investors are centered on USD not some other local currencies but I'm happy indeed this is a good sign that the price of bitcoin will soon ATH in the near future. That means it only takes $4K maybe it will happen in March where the bitcoin price is $70K it is also the new ATH.

I will not make a benchmark on local currencies because the USD will make the real ATH benchmark, I don't know if this is a center where the USD will be more benchmarked than other currencies or the EURO.

We are happy that bitcoin is at $65K. Wink

People usually usesbthe widely accepted currency to determine the value. Also the largest bitcoin holder and inveators are from the usa so people like it that way. By the way its a great milestone for bitcoin but the greatest one is yet to claim. Maybe one day we will see the total marketcap of bitcoin is above gold and even the top companies of the world.

Yes I think most of us based it on USD. But nevertheless, it's true that in several local currencies the all time high has been broken already, so that is a good sign that we are indeed in the bull run and as we fast approach the block halving, moonboys are going to appear in this community again,  Smiley

But for the majority of us who look at the last all time high as $69k, we are just $6k away from it and it's going to be doable this month. And if this happen, this is going to be the first time that we will see this kind of trend. We never did see this happening before, so another indication that this bull run is very different from the previous one and it's going to be huge.

That's right, this is where widespread adoption is necessary and important and For BTC, it is probably widely known throughout the world, but it has not yet received full recognition from the public or government that this is a solution and a significant asset in the future.

Yes. maybe one day what we hope for in BTC will at least be able to open the minds of stakeholders whether they are investors who have a big influence on the global economy, governments and other institutions without losing the basic principles even though the journey is still very young.

Yeah, if the FED hadn't increased the interest rates so high to artificially keep the dollar strong, the all time high in USD would have also been broken, not just because dollar would have gotten weaker but mostly because the high interest rates pushed the economy into recession that meant more sell pressure on bitcoin preventing it from starting this rally we're currently in.

Bitcoin also broke the ATH in Canada however most sources dont confirm this and I don’t know why. The previous high was broken by a few hundreds and it indeed did hit a new high on that day we touched $64K.

There is some error in saying that bitcoins high was $92000 which is not true and didn’t happen. The high was $85300 and we hit $86885.

Funny thing is that our currency seems pretty much unchanged mostly for the past few years. Seems odd that we hit a new ATH in Canada.

I suspect same.

Dollar has risen to be the most used currency in the market, so we all estimate and live our cash on it and sometime forget our country currencies…very funny.
Judging from other currency, some persons who invested in bitcoin would benefit very well relating it to dollar.
Let me give an example; dollar is high in some countries, so imagine bitcoin hitting ATH and you in dollars and you are converting it to your country’s currency…mehnn that a very huge amount of money.
Make hay while the sun shines.
       Wow…

It is true, at least Bitcoin also has a contribution if we look at the data above, but if we only refer to the GDP figures which are displayed in high numbers, in my opinion this does not reflect the level of success so that it is able to properly minimize the level of inequality in economic conditions but all the benefits it relies heavily on the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies and the fulfillment of all three functions of money.

I won’t say why that is, but I think it very likely has something to do with the current immigration situation.

Wasn’t Mexico supposed to be the next Venezuela because they elected a leftist president? It’s not some nefarious immigrants which are responsible for the Mexican Peso’s strong performance, as some might assume. Because of tariffs, US imports from Mexico have surpassed those from China. Also, the current administration has been investing in the country’s infrastructure, strengthening the economy.
