Earlier I was pouring hot water into a hot water bottle and accidently poured the water over my hand. I've had it under cold water for ages but its unbareably painful. Anyone have any advice?
instead of cold water , best to Put a Toothpaste first then put Under super cold water as in icy water so that will add more coldness .

but like what above says , never put too long because it might absorb water inside and will grow like balloons  in your skin .

I usually put toothpaste to ease the pain after pouring a warm or cold water into it.
But you could always ask the pharmacy just to be sure and try to find which is more effective on relieving the pain.

The pharmacy has a special medicine for this. But before you can just make something cold to burn, so he did not penetrate deeper. Or lower burn in cold water. The main thing that the skin is not damaged mechanically.

do the following steps: First, immediately use running water to rinse the burn site or directly soak the burn wound in cold water to quickly reduce the thermal temperature of the burn wound, thereby reducing the depth and pain of the burn wound. The rinsing or soaking time is generally about 30 minutes. If the rinsing or soaking time is relatively short, it is difficult to alleviate the pain. Third, use clean wet towels to continue to treat the burned area during the treatment of the hospital.

Severe burns

If you suspect that your child has suffered severe burns, call 911 immediately. While waiting for the ambulance to arrive, you need to do the following:

Moisten a cloth or towel with cold water (not too cold) and apply it to the burned area.
Don't take off your child's burned clothing.
     Don't break the bubble.
Except for water, do not apply any ointments, sprays or other substances to the injured area.

Minor burns

Minor burns include all first-degree burns and most second-degree burns. Minor burns can be treated at home. Avoid sun exposure to the infected area. Otherwise, the burn may increase or the healing process may be prolonged. Note that applying sunscreen to the burned area cannot protect the skin from injury.

Use neutral, non-scented liquid soap to gently rinse the lightly injured area twice a day. Soak the burned area in cold water or mild running water for 10 minutes. Allow the burned area to air dry, or pat dry with a clean soft cloth or towel. If there is blistering on the injured area, do not break it. Foaming can act as a protective layer to prevent infection. If you accidentally break it, apply a little antibacterial ointment, such as Polysporin, and wrap it with sterile gauze or bandage.

Soak the burned area in cold water or mild running water for 10 minutes. The sooner you do this, the better. Don't waste time on undressing your child. If you are outside, you can use a garden hose, drinking fountain or any other source of cold water. Cooling the burn area can reduce your child's pain. Cold water can also reduce swelling and prevent burns from reaching the subcutaneous tissues.

Pain can be relieved by placing a clean wet cloth or compress over the burn area. Take a pain reliever like ibuprofen or naproxen if the pain is severe. Make sure you're getting the right dosage from the instructions.

whether your house is close to a supermarket, I recommend buying toothpaste...
I have experienced several times like you this and it really hurts. my husband told me to apply toothpaste to the burned skin and it proved to be effective in relieving his sore. Toothpaste gives a cool feel and is very durable.

I would have soaked that hand into a pail that's full of ice. That's at least my alternative solution whenever I'll accidentally be pouring out hot water into my hand.

Is your feeling still the same?

I would suggest not having it continuously immersed in cold water, just run it under cold water for like 5 minutes once an hour, or something like that.
