Don't believe the numbers.  Usually for 24 hours or so after a difficulty change the numbers get all out of whack.  Check tomorrow and you'll get a more accurate view of what's actually going on.

It's inaccurate.  This happens every time after a difficulty readjustment.  It will be back to normal levels in 24-48 hours.

It is caused by the system thinking the blocks that were solved before difficulty jump were at current difficulty, rather than past difficulty.  It assumes the network is monstrous to power through the blocks so quickly (10-12/hr)

So I was looking at the numbers for the new difficulty, and then saw the total hashing power, 12434.52 GHash as I write this. Coulda swore it was about almost half that yesterday. Anyone know whats going on there? Someone bring a new ASIC cluster online or something ?
