Why do these altcoins burn token ? to reduce the supply for a better pricing? Can someone here enlighten me?

MasternodeCoin burned 10M coins recently, they have a burning address in their thread. Also ColossusCoin2 was swapped to the new ColossusCoin at 2:1 rate so supply was halved. I heard that Einstenium will lower supply as well this week but I don't know exact amount
