Anyone know of any good sources for data to make charts, or are there any charts all ready coded for me to link in this alt-coin ticker website? I want to get everyone involved in this! Criticisms still welcome Smiley

How about adding Copper Bars? They are worth about twice what a LTC is worth for a full coin

Hey thanks for the suggestions. I was going to stick solely with Vircurex, however, I feel that using Cyptsy or someone else's API would be worth while. I will definitely try and implement it for you.

A few updates have been made:

  • The min-width has been changed to 1200px, due to expansion.
  • There are more statistics including last trade and volume (however, some don't apply as they are so low.)
  • When you click on the price of the alt-coin, you get the new statistics.

Things that still need to be done:

  • Get more alt-coin information on.
  • Get more alt-coin variety
  • Make the information toggle-able.
  • Possibly improvements to the col*or scheme

In respect of the prices, be ware that I have no control over them, and if there is something wrong with them, it is more than likely on vircurex's side.

With coinmarketcap.com acting up right now, it would be really nice if you could at least list the top 10 coins + their market cap, current total supply and % change.
More alternatives to the above mentioned site is much appreciated.

Hey! This is just a start up for me, I will continue to develop it in my free time. I will make sure to make such improvements as the top 10 coins, they market cap, total supply and try and get % change.

Add css - min-height: 400px; to the 'container' div the box breaks on my laptop.

Nice site, how many alts are you planning to add?

I will make sure to add that as soon as I get back to my PC. I am planning on adding as many as I possibly can!

Needs some css work since the list of coins goes out the div. Also more information be nice, and a better color scheme the light gray on white background isn't that great.

Yes, I understand the css is a little bit broken, please forgive me, I am a noob when it comes to web development, however, I am willing to learn. As for the color scheme, as of right now, I like it, however, I appreciate the feedback. I will make sure to add some more information to the site, as well.

Updating the numbers by hand is inefficient and a waste of time.
Learn2vicurex API.

I do not update the numbers by hand, that would be a total and utter waste of my time. The API updates every 5 seconds to my knowledge.

Hey guys!

My name is Matt and basically I created a small webpage that displays the price of some alt-coins, according to vircurex. The URL is http://altcointicker.com a nice easy one to remember, and surprisingly wasn't taken Roll Eyes Anyhow, if you would like me to add any other alt-coins, just say. I would prefer to keep it to the best ones / most popular, however, I will try and go out of my way to accommodate as many people as possible.

Thanks, Matt!

Also: Sorry for the re-direct at the moment, I will try and sort out hosting, depending on how popular the website becomes.
