Forget tethering, that is just a waste of time. I take it your making money so you want something reliable. Get yourself an ultrabook, nice and light. Make sure you get the model with built in mobile. It will have a slot for a simcard.

And awaaay you go..

Simply hibernate it when you are done, open the lid, your trading again in seconds with all your websites up.

I'll say this - you get what you pay for.

Yep, you can pay for:

Cheap crap.
Nicely priced good stuff.
Overpriced crap (anything form apple).

I use phone and laptop together for trading. On phone I get all the updates of the current market trends anywhere in my pocket but as some user already pointed out , you can make mistakes while punching values on your phone . And for that i prefer laptop as its more convenient to place orders and you can keep alt-coin wallets too on laptop for daytrading . Keep it secure though and don't save large amounts on coins on laptop.

Just my 2 pence worth.

HARD WORK trading on a mobile!!!! (Note2 in my case) refresh/screen terrible, size have made some real good mistakes with values being auto filled (missed due to screen size)... Could have stamped on the phone!!!

My opinion a good specced tablet, not a galaxy tab 2 though as they as slow as a striking slug!

Good luck!!

Thanks for the advice. I did consider a tablet. But I think the option of punching in numbers on a laptop keyboard + smaller cost would outweight. But I forgot to add that in the title which I will do.

I use team viewer on my phone if I need to panic buy or panic sell something when im out, but if im out all day I have a little 11" netbook I teather with.  If I was going to buy something new it would be a full size 15" or 17" 1080 rez laptop

What's the 11" netbook? I actually want something that's around $200 so I don't mind if I lose it. I'm going to be using it strictly for trading. I just don't think my phone will cut it since sometimes I like to put buy orders and cancel repeatedly for a few hours.

Multiple computers / monitors is a must for any serious daytrader!

That's what I'm thinking! But if I get a tweet that altcoin is dying while driving, I need to pull over to the side of the road and start trading. That means good connection and put up multiple quick buy and sell orders! I just don't think a phone will cut it. Using a touchpad and trying to manage multiple windows isn't going to cut it.

I would go mobile. Mobile all the way. It is safe, and easy.

Not that easy. I should clarify that I like to have Twitter, Bitcointalk, MintPal & Bittrex open at the same time so I figured laptop would be easier for thatbut then the internet may be messy since I'd have to tether my phone.

I'm getting pretty serious at daytrading altcoins now and going to need a way to do it on the go.

What do you guys suggest? This is mainly for Bittrex and MintPal.

I like to trade for 1-2 hours at a time rather then 1 straight market order. I'm thinking like a cheap netbook or laptop. Mobile phone seems like too much of a pain in the butt. But intend to use the phone to tether.
