I've read somewhere that embedding this js mining sniplet is only profitable if you have your website visitors stay on one page for a long time.

I don't think that JS mining will be very profitable.

I have seen a few people talk about it, but I wanted a more concentrated discussion. I'm curious. Here are a few questions:

1. If an individual writes a website that mines his / her work computer with JavaScript, is there anyway for them to get caught? This seems safer than installing mining programs.
2. (Related) Will someone get in trouble for having coinhive (https://coinhive.com/) running on their computer?
3. Do you think ignorance is more believable if you have JavaScript mining running on your computer hidden in some browser tab (possibly masked by a game)?

Please note that I do not intend to do this. I am just curious.
