Hey!

i am looking for a community to discuss about altcoin prices.. or maybe get a slight hint why strange things are happening.. i am not sure if this is the right forum.. ( please pm me )

but here are my questions:
why did the Ininitecoin price multiply by a factor of 14, and we have a trading volume of 75 btc today? this coin was dead and one could easily have mined lots of it over the last years.. ( difficulty 0.002 )

in the last days, further scrypt-coins were pumped.. whats the reason of this? pump and hope the price rises, and then dump? they are ~ 2 years old.. there are probably a lot of people who could sell a lot of old coins? so why are people buying?
earthcoin
worldcoin
tagcoin
megacoin
bbqcoin
globalcoin
digitalcoin
luckycoin

Very simple: these coins were never dead. They were accumulated all the time. Now sellpressure goes away because the whale has eaten it all up and price rises.
BBQ and Lucky will come down hard though. IFC might correct too.
But one thing these good longterm coins are not is dead.
Fedoracoin the same. Look at DEM. People come on the threads and post how dead the coin is days before they rocket. Don't believe the negative bullshit. If a coin had fair release and community it's not going to die so easy.

Lotterytickets (TIX) also a train leaving there ...

I predict Myriadcoin and Ultracoin come back soon.
Primecoin, Feathercoin, Terracoin aswell. Look out for PPC might be pumped too... and Litecoin of course with the halving just weeks away.

This is the most interesting question of the last week and this week as well Smiley. IMO most of these coins were cheap, so it was easy to build up some nice stacks, LTC is also goes for peanuts so it's relative easy to make some pig pumps on Cryptsy, what will bring the prices up on other exchanges too.

It's simply Pump & Dump. Coins with low price and low volume are favorite targets because it doesn't take much to pump them up for a quick payday.

I guess most of them are being pumped so they can be dumped for profit.
