Just wondering if the pump is over? I bought back my original portfolio a couple of days ago at a lower price, I was looking forward to a good Alt Coin pump but it seems to have slowed right down. Any chance the Alt's might rise again in the next day or 2 ?

in my experience the biggest mistake that most people make in altcoin investment is that they think altcoins all move together and they define things such as "portfolio" for themselves. if you ask me that is a wrong strategy.
in the altcoin market there are always only 2 or 3 altcoins that are getting pumped and are profitable. the rest are in dumping mode. if you want profit out of this market you have to invest in those 2 or 3 and only during their pumping phase not afterwards.

Actually we don't able to give you the xact answer if the pump is already over because no one knows if when will a coin will pump or dump. There are lots of coins you have to choose from the market and your choice who will pump hard. we are seeing that, the result after the fork if some investor will sell their bitcoin and buy some crypto. This may pump of altcoin again.

I think to make a decision that you said needed a very deep level of understanding. Because we are dealing with is not about the game but the funds that we have, if we make a decision on the basis of vague then everything would have been much worse. Altcoin is indeed very good, but it would be so much better you menijau or analyze more deeply in order to produce the best thing is it's not just based on emotion

Pretty sure you're in one boat with every serious crypto enthusiast. All this empty and pointless hyping of hot air is getting very boring. 
Actually due to hardfork the altcoin was in sideways movement and i think this was just short term which ended the altcoin pump and that's the reason that it has slowed down the altcoin movement. Now there are chances to rise again if the altcoin showed some good sign of the trend and momentum in their chart analysis. Specially Ethereum, Litecoin and ripple are expected to rise again in big price if the momentum outs soon. Expecting a good move before the Next Fork.

There are many coins which are at it's bottom right now (e.g. FLIK) and have a good potential to grow in the next months. Some are already too expensive. Find to undervalued ones. 
Some altcoins didn't pump yet. You still have time to buy something.

There are alts that are almost ready to be pumped: dgb, bitb, zrx, xcp. I think they already have momentum to burst throug the resistance. Don't consider my words as trading recomendations. Every trader/investor should decide on his/her own according to own trading system. Just look and analyse.

How about Storj? Poloniex exchange has listed Storj/BTC and its price has increased 39% today. Let buy it and wait until it reaches at $1.
Please try not to follow pumps.. that's a mistake that everyone keeps on doing. They see a coin pumping and try to join as soon as possible, just to their dissmay that when they do so, the value of the coin is depreciating. These pump schenes are very coordinated, and unless you are in the group of the coordinators, you won't get out of it with extra cash (maybe once or twice, but you'll eventually get busted). Try to look for coins that have real value, and don't focus so much on whether a coin is being pumped at the moment or is having an upstream. Just find what you believe in worth investing your money in and invest in it, don't care about short term fluctuations. If you want to trade, you shoud get to known technical indicators (which are quite the same as the FX market) but even then you won't be able to always read the market. You're best bet is to be a hodler, or a long-term holder, in this case you won't care about short tem appreciations and will be more relaxed and focused on the actual development of the coin.

I think altcoins are going though a huge correction period and maximum of them are low priced now. If you buy them now you will definitely make some profit in future( no one can tell the exact time though) .But you have to choose carefully, don't buy any dead coin.
I think so far Altcoin's prices have been mainly based on hype as very few are actually making a penny. During 2018 we should start to see actual developments and real use with many Alts folding. Blockchain technology is here to stay so seekout the quality Altcoins!
IMO this is bearish market for altcoins, recent popular ICOs like Enigma, airswap, request and ripio are all below ICO price, which means fast profit from ICOs are over.
Few of the altcoins has started recovery and I think it would take 1 to 3 weeks before we would start to see significant progress and we should not expect altcoins pump from funds flowing from bitcoin market but from bitcoin gold as many traders may likely convert they coins to altcoins in exchangers in other to dump bitcoin gold. Op I still see now as the best time to buy some of the cheap coins in the market.

Definitely, or even longer, the present moment is still bearable and you can try to risk with some coins cause their price will try to get to right value.
If you go for quality coins with good demand you will profit in the future. Check there are buyers on the exchanges before you commit.

It is not yet over, there will pump soon. But it does not matter to me because I buy my favorite altcoins every time the price dips. I only hold altcoins that I believe will be here long term like eth, wave and nem.
We might not see real action until after Segwit2x to be honest. I mean the charts don't look very pumpy right now, of course that might just be a response from yesterday's gains.
Most altcoins are just hot air balloons right now though. So even after Segwit2x we might not see a lot of action until altcoins actually start delivering on their promises.

The pump has barely started. BTC will drop right the way down so still lots of time to grab cheap alts. It will last a few weeks until the next fork

The next fork is already in 3 weeks. With BTG the altcoin dumping started around 3 weeks before the fork. Don't you guys think that people cashed the small pump and now wait for Segwith2x?

Yeah the green party is over son, they fucked us and still hold their money in Bitcoin mostly. I did not expect such a week one day pump either. Only adex and Monacoin went up 50% but ARK, OMG, NEO. The leading alts big disappointment. I would suggest invest only in new projects and with that overpraised crap you dont know whats gonna happen. Maybe keep stable for next 6 months. I would love to see stable big gains again.

It really will depend on which altcoin you are planning on buying right now.
Because right now, some altcoins have decreased in price after the pump while others have continued to increase price. It's not a good idea to generalize all altcoins into one bracket/index since you're not going to realistically going to buy into all altcoins.
But if you were, bitcoin will probably likely get pumped again, meaning altcoins will go down somewhat.

thats the key.. you, and me and many people wonder when will be the right time to dump all altcoins to buy BTC and receive the valuable B2X hf.. last time it began 3 weeks before BCG hf.
i still think there mus be a bigger pump of alts, as BTC dominance still too big (in 3 weekes changes from 46% to 59%.. now 56%). this 10% extra dominance of BTC means 16.500M more in the crypto market for BTC that was shifted form alts.

There are many good altcoins to buy as of now. Watch out for any updates. Altcoins i watch is the NeO, Strat, QTUM , RPX, and Lisk. I am waiting now fpr any updates which may pump this coins price .

Alts have reduced by 50% in the short time because hardfork information is coming. And now it's time for altcoins to recover from the recent downturn. It seems that people started selling Bitcoin to buy Altcoin. This is the reason Altcoins green and increased by 10- 50%.

There are so many coins to choose from the market and your choice who will pump hard. We can see the result after the fork if some investor will sell their bitcoin again and buy some crypto. The pump is not yet over. It is just hours after Bitcoin Gold is being distributed. Wait for the dumping of free Bitcoin Gold. For sure, they will shift to altcoins. The pump began right after Bitcoin Gold is released. Even some others who shifted to Bitcoin will get back to their altcoins because mostly the intention was just to get a share of the free Bitcoin Gold. The pumping will continue for a few more days.

Yeah you are right last few weeks the coin or the currency was going down continuesly and last 2 days continuesly increasing so that its not to late to buy altcoin if you a chance to buy grab it now like today i think 1 percent of alternative coin was going down again so this is your chance to invest or to buy altcoin.

I can say yes, but you must be patience dude. Wait until the hardfork of bitcoin gold will be ended. This time looks altcoin back again to the red candle and the gren just a short hype. The fact that you can try to see about we will be facing the bitcoin fork. The pump is over. and this time too late to sell your altcoin. But it looks like if all the altcoins are going to make a huge step to the moon right now, so i would not expect to see a dump in a near future, all the altcoins were going down because people were moving their funds to bitcoin to receive free coins, but now the opposite is happening, they are moving their free coin's funds to altcoins again, so probably it will make a giant pump.. You can check it by yourself, all the alts are in giant green numbers.

No one can give you definite answer on this one since as an investor and a trader this is really just a common question among on our altcoin holdings.Seeing on the market most them are on greens.It might be on fast pace or slow pace movements of gradual increase but yet this thing would depend on the target profits you have been set out.
