There are not so many multi crypto wallets right now, may be you can try this one - https://bit.ac/, it makes instant exchanges between crypto currencies, so it is very convenient.  Grin

I think exchangers like poloniex, bittrex could be used as wallets because they tend to have more stable and up to date altcoin wallets than other altcoin wallet provider. Seen few days ago holytransaction was shutting down their wallet service but today it seems those emails are not from them and you can read here https://holytransaction.com/ so may be they will open up again and you can try their service to have altcoin web wallets. But i haven't use them personally till now, i store almost all my altcoins other than bitcoin in poloniex and bittrex.

It will be a good idea for some of the exchanges to evolve and start to offer altcoin wallet services that makes the customer in control of the private keys. In Poloniex it might improve the lending of coins because customers will start to think that they are stored there anyway so why not offer them for lending.

they will never do such a thing. because they are simply using those coins for other purposes. some of these exchanges may not even have enough coins in their pocket to pay all of their users if they decided to withdraw all at once.

as an example of usage i can name exchanges using bitcoin of their users in other places as investment and trading with it themselves (and this has happened in the past).

so they can't really give the control over to the users themselves.

Hello
can any one recommend a good wallet for lite/dash/ dogecoin  Huh
I m still new to cryptocurrencies...
thanks

i mostly use Exchanges for keeping altcoins since having a wallet for each of them is a lot of work.

but also two of what you named here have SPV (light) wallets: Litecoin and Dogecoin
so to keep Litecoin you can use litecoin Electrum and even make a cold storage out of it. you can use Electrum (for bitcoin) wallet docs if LTC docs was not enough for you.
https://electrum-ltc.org/

and also for Dogecoin there is an SPV wallet called MultiDoge which is similar to MiltiBit (for bitcoin) which you can again create a cold storage from this one too.

Don't bother with Dogecoin. That has already died. Check my signature if you're interested in Ethereum technology. It's the closest competitor to Bitcoin.

Are you sure Dogecoin is dead? I can see it has some good volume to be considered alive and well.

And oh god doge is already dead and so why in the polo the trading of dogecoin is still running with smoothly and why? it's ETH fans. LOL

Actually no exchange is safe enough to store your coins. They own your private keys and there is always a possibility they get hacked or run away themselves. It will not be the first time that a exchange collapsed so that is a bad suggestion.

You can find the official wallets at the website from each coin and mostly they have an thread here at bitcointalk.

I have some questions, I've never used an exchanger before.
The exchangers are going to work as a wallet, like coinbase for an example, right ?
After a deposit some Litecoin / Dash..., I m going to be able to exchange them with Bitcoin ?
Of course yes, You can exchange litecoin / dash with bitcoin there are fitures for it. Even if you can exchange another altcoins to bitcoin at poloniex and not litecoin/dash only. Because poloniex is market for exchange coins and it can be used for wallets too.
