I'm just wondering why altcoins and bitcoins are using different terminology even though they are both cryptocurrency . Is it because bitcoin is the first crypto who launches successfully?

There's much different actually because some of the existing coin are just bitcoin clone and they are also using the same terminology, although there are other coins that has different algos but they all the have the same concept of peer to peer and decentralization..

What different terminology you are referring to?

Bitcoin and its clones are very similar actually.

A few altcons are not Bitcoin clones, but are still developed using the concept of Bitcoin.
