Alts will start to recover fast when there will be large dumps in bitcoin's price in next few weeks after next hardfork on november. I will be buying more alts just after the fork as their price against bitcoin gonna rise when bitcoin will be dumped after fork.

I think in coming future there will be only trades of bitcoin and other currency trade will stop and altcoin will also be included in it as bitcoin is used by many people and has a stable value or place in digital world but it not the case with altcoin as people are just buying and selling it or converting it to bitcoin and than using it so its popularity is overthrown by bitcoin and no many people know about it as many people know bitcoin and trust it.
on the contrary, bitcoin has the first movers advantage but thats basically it. Coins like NEM are cheaper, faster and lighter, so it's actually more reasonable to assume the alts will get used the most in day to day life, where bitcoin will become a hedge. bitcoin also can't magically start doing what these other coins are doing, because its just not built that way. the platforms built around the coins, like SONM for example, can't suddenly start using bitcoin instead.

Many people are trying to convert their alt coin to bitcoin because a lot of altcoins are become dump and pump while some are still goods but the most biggest and interested are bitcoins and in future bitcoin will become more interested.

This statement is sadly very true. Most altcoins are pumps and dumps. Not all of course, and those good ones out there, are really good ones. But, most probably aren't. I feel like you can hold BTC long term and make out, but holding the lesser known coins long term is probably more risky. Just my opinion of course.

Altcoins are just hurting because everyone is trying to hold bitcoin right now. They will bounce back once everyone sells out their bitcoin and tries to get their alt holdings back.
That is most definite. But how long or how far to their previous state is what we do not know.Maybe after the fork though, we might see some pretty big pumps for most of them, however, you should take note that most of these altcoins had a drastic bearish trend that would really take them time to recover.

Mostly people holding altcoins for a couple of months now sell their coins and take loss then buy bitcoin because of the recent uprise of its price. So basically one of the reasons why it is also plunging, but eventually when bitcoins price drops down or stay stead after the fork they'll for sure buy again altcoins back.
I think you should buy cheap altcoins now because most bitcoiners sell their alts to buy bitcoin for the upcoming bitcoin gold. Then after dumping gold, the price of alt coin will pump up again

Perfect time to buy alts right now when they're at the lowest 
Just remember this, Bitcoin increasing is great for altcoins. A bunch of money pours into BTC, then once the price settles, people reallocate that money to altcoins. Rarely do people cash out of BTC and then pull money out of crypto forever. It seems that once money is in crypto, it stays there or at least if it leaves, it's temporary.

I converted my btc into alts a few days ago, should have waited a lot longer. I have a feeling that the btc price will continue to rise until the fork. I refuse to buy it though, waiting for the post fork dump

It is both a matter of fact as well as a question of fear, but there are causes as to why this happens:
1. Whales can't let everything go green because when something (Bitcoins) is gaining, something (alts) has to lose.
2. They take out their money off alts and sell BTC for fiat because they might have their stops there and that's why we also see fluctuations during pumps.
3. Altcoins are not losing but they also gain with time once BTC stabilizes because these same alts become worth many times once they start gaining in BTC and BTC gets steady at a price in fiat. This is a good chance but TBH, we should wait for even more dumps because fork is in the way and some more blood bath might be on the road.

I suspect that alt-coins are plunging is people are trying to get hold of bitcoin before the upcoming fork, I believe that is also the reason for the current price spike in BTC

In fact, the altcoin does not lose too much value. And it only happens temporarily, and a short time later, they will return when the value of the bitcoin stabilizes. The sudden increase in bitcoin caused the volume to drop, so the value of altcoin decreased. It is only temporary.

Many are selling their alts holdings for btc, for the fork, the other oddity is the bittrex multi market dumps we have just seen. So re-adjustment of price will occur after fork, now is the time to stock up on some alts

Right now the alts are mostly at a decent discount because of both major forks, it's not just Bitcoin. Ethereum has Byzantium coming and the two for Bitcoin's SegWit2x.

Alts should be pretty attractive for entry right around the fork as they should bounce back hard.

the same old pump and dumps.i have pulled out of all my altcoin positions and sold all but 2 coins (LTC and GBYTE) i will hold these two to the grave
what i will do is to watch the prices and watch bitcoin price closely. as soon as bitcoin stabilized and i saw the alts recover i will invest back in. there is good profit to be made from this.

There are still some good deals on altcoins all around, I'm still adding some more expecting some nice profits before the end of the month.
to be fail there has been a lot of interesting ideas in altcoins. i have not yet completely given up on them despite most of them just being copy paste crap of projects not doing anything at all!
the future is hard for all of them because they will all be seen with one eye when there are lots and lots of useless projects. but eventually i do believe that good projects will survive and grow.

The only reason a lot of speculations are surrounding bitcoin today is as a result of its value and popularity compared to any other shitty coin out there.No one will blame you if you hate the community and decides to use all your funds to buy hazza which your signature is representing, however, if you think bitcoin will be dumped and altcoin will be pumped pretty hard after the fork, you had better think twice. Cause someone like me will just end up using the free BCC coin to even buy more BTC.

Best time to buy altcoins...actually the best time passed already (many are now in the green) but still a great time to buy!

With the fork a lot of people get out of alts and into bitcoin. After the fork people will get out of bitcoin and into alts, to increase their BTC value. Bitcoin dominance is now at 52% and last week was about 44% so yeah it will revert back and all dumps will be quick gains. Now is actually the time to buy into alts.
