Bitcoin can not be compare with alt-coin in the crypto industries, because bitcoin is a number one coin and has more prospect in a future used than Alt-coin, therefore i prefer having a BTC than any other coin.

Why it can't be compared bro? Are you just seeing in price perspective?. I'm really hope crypto adopt can be implemented soon. And this is crypto ecosystem, so each crypto have their own benefit. Just keep support to each other. 👍

I myself also confused why this happened to Altcoins, but I Yaki entered in October Altcoin will at least return to rise above 20% of the current price, if we still have better money buy again because the price of altcoin is already very cheap. I am commanding to buy Eth, BNB coin, LTC, XRP, XLM, that will hold for future investments. Hopefully the year-end Altcoin price is back.

Yeah that is true mate is very surprising and confuse right now the altcoin trends uprise, and your also correct this time to buy and grab the opportunity to invest in altcoins specially ethereum. Because yoour correct it's possible altcoins begun to become expensive after the cheapest price.

Bitcoin domination looks like market manipulation. I saw the price of Bitcoin pumping very high, but suddenly the price dropped very quickly. And it makes sense when altcoins do not experience the growth as we expect. Even with the dominance of Bitcoin, Altcoin prices declined.

In this month there may still be a decline in Bitcoin and altcoins. And entering the month of November I hope Altcoin has begun to experience growth. The market is very difficult to predict, but all that can happen in crypto.

Maybe you had point is part of market manipulation, but it's hard and difficult to give conclusion the trends of altcoins price increase, I think that is part of the crypto volatility fluctuations.

the crypto market today is very difficult to guess we all know halving bitcoin will happen soon but the current crypto market turmoil is very volatile and very unmanageable even though good news will come out a few days ago but bitcoin is still undergoing correction again . if in my opinion maybe bitcoin will be able to become x5 or even x10 when halving is already there is just a matter of days and for altcoin i still doubt it will be able to give more advantages than we have bitcoin why? because it's been a few months we see altcoin is very difficult to develop unless they have a good update maybe some large altcoin can provide enough profit to us like ethereum etc.

Already the whole market is at the bottom. It is time to start a tremendous growth. We’ll wait for the guys soon soon. A dump cannot be forever.
Do you know that? the big growth will not come until the crypto market will be trusted again by speculators to put their money. A dump can't be forever but it can be so long that what we have already expected.
That's enough to say the market is still in the bearish trend. im glad to see a little recovery but that's not enough.
A thing that is really needed by the market is great news from bitcoin. FOMO will never come without big news.

Bitcoin halving is the trending talk in crypto space, everyone is expecting a price soar for BTC just before the halving and wondering what will be the fate of altcoins. For me, I think altcoins will drop in satoshi value but might still rise in dollar value if the increase in dollar value for BTC is high.  Well, nobody predicts the market 100% hence my point is mere assumption. Altcoins without BTC pairs might be slightly affected anyways, let's see how it goes come next year.

halving bitcoin is around the corner, but after the split rewards for the block immediately do not wait for the rise of bitcoin and altcoins. I think the rise after halving will start after 6-12 months. then we will see what the cryptocurrency is capable of (growth is inevitable)

If me, before bitcoin halving i will sell my altcoin to bitcoin and hold it. Maybe not suggest people to do it, only share what i will do. Because when bitcoin halving come, anything can be happen. But in my mind, people will sell their altcoins to hold bitcoin. That is why i do it before it is too late. At least if it is really happen, i get better price before it dumped more than now.

Bitcoin as well as altcoins has the same market tendency when there is halving effect fall down.
Normally whenever halving falls that time we can see the huge bump and big market circulation on every cryptocurrency exchanges.
Try to invest on halving time do not mind whether it is Bitcoin or altcoins all the effects mostly same.

IMO alts are going to have a run before Bitcoin reaches a new ATH, but once Bitcoin starts its run then alts will drop from wherever they are. I expect some alts to die out before that run happens but many will see huge increases maybe even their own ATHs. 2020 is going to be exciting cor crypto.

We don't need to wait, majority of the alts is dead today, and some of them are being delisted anytime soon.

I think we already understand why bitcoin is the king of crypto, because all of the alts still depend on its price movement. Now we are speculating that the bitcoin halving will bring life to major alts. If that is our presumption then we should see another 6 or 7 months of alt bear markets, just saying. I'm seeing the alts will grow by 2020 but we need to look further at 2021.

I don't think Bitcoin halving will be beneficial for altcoins. The event is solely related to Bitcoin and may bring instant jump in Bitcoin price by 30-40% or even more. Whereas altcoins are rather expected to hold their values in terms of USD but may fall in terms of BTC value. So it is advisable to hold Bitcoin rather than distributing portfolio is other coins for now.

Already almost all the altcoins had touched the bottom and some of good coins are about to test the dogecoin like prices (I mean prices below 100 satoshi). It is proven that when BTC prices are increasing, altcoins are slipping and in time to time, we do observe altcoins are falling along with bitcoin markets too. But, only when bitcoin markets are trading stable, we are witnessing altcoins are increasing.

The price of falling along with the bitcoin market is logically because when the head is affected other parts of the body are also affected which is what happening but that doesn't mean all altcoin will experience an increase in price when bitcoin surge or slightly stable in price.

I guess, it is time for bitcoin markets may get impacted about upcoming halving as the halving is approximately scheduled in less than 8 months of time. I am really confused what kind of trend we are going to have for altcoins against upcoming halving. We cannot expect BTC markets to be stable when a its halving is going to happen, obviously BTC prices may get doubled at least (or may grow in x5 or x10 too) and due to this, I do not want to see my portfolio value getting half from the current levels.

Let's discuss where altcoins market may head due to this crucial part of crypto world.
The kind of trend we are going to see in the altcoin when it almost bitcoin halving is slightly and simultaneously surge in price while bitcoin experience the highest surge just like the previous block halving occasion. Mind you, we can't know the actual range bitcoin will claim when it halving but it will definitely surpass the previous ATH.

What everybody expecting is the price of BTC will increase because of halving. When we view previous halving periods price of the BTC also increase sharply after halving.
If market behavior not changed, altcoins will crush at BTC pair during sudden increases at BTC price.

We can hope, BTC can go Stabil after sudden increase and the prices of alt coins can catch BTC.
Otherwise more dips are waiting to alt coins which are already at Dip.

I think that the prices of Bitcoin would tank more than it would go up. Long term it would go up of course.

I'm agree with some of your argument above, but did you see the history of previous halving before ? all of them are following BTC movement. they are very strong. remember ETH price at 2017 ? that's was amazing ATH. I know this still speculation but right now are the best moment for buying alt and BTC. and there's no option except hold all of your portofolio.

If you look at the current conditions we can indeed buy some altcoin and bitcoin but however it depends on your own decision,
apart from that all I really hope that the price of bitcoin and altcoin can again increase

Bitcoin is declining Altcoin is increasing why is altcoin not following the rise of Bitcoin like it used to be?
I will continue to buy altcoin but not for long-term trading when it rises 5% and up, I will resell.

Its expect that BTC will rise before the halving based on the past trends and with that people are also expecting that somehow it will have a positive effect on the altcoins market. Well, we never really know because past trends does not guarantee it will repeat in the future, but let's analyze it carefully and if we believe that its possible to happen, we should not miss buying the price at dip, especially for altcoins now that they are very cheap.

I'm kind of seeing altcoins getting dump this season as Bitcoin halving comes. As reward decrease, the demand for Bitcoin will increase because of the miners which means more investors are going to convert their altcoin to Bitcoin. If Bitcoin were to continue increasing, altcoin might see a more red in the upcoming months. It would be a good time to invest in altcoin to be honest.

In the early stage when people prepare for the halving and when Bitcoin is still cheap altcoins will lose value and money will go to BTC. If we go into the late stage where BTC goes into a rally altcoins will start pumping as people move some of the profits from BTC trading into altcoins. It usually looks like this when we look at BTC vs altcoin markets. If you buy altcoins now you will profit just a little bit later than if you invest in bitcoin.
I agree with this altcoins always lose vs BTC at first but after btc really skyrockets all the profits start moving into altcoins its a pattern that keeps happening.
at this point it is a self fulfilling prophecy and will happen again because people absolutely expect it to.

BTC halving is expecting next year and we all are expecting huge movement in BTC but there is still a lot of time left for BTC halving. When halving will be near we will see more & more investor will give priority to BTC. Generally, when BTC rises we see most of the altcoins drops in satoshi forms. At the moment BTC seems quite stable and now we are seeing gains in altcoins. If BTC dominance will be reduced we will see more rise in altcoins.

The halving of Bitcoin block rewards would surely have an impact on the overall cryptocurrency market cap and i am sure we would see some increase in the altcoins as well. However i doubt they would peak up as high as BTC would because most traders are now investing more into BTC other than alts.

To be frank, halving doesn't guaratee the double of the price it may be the opposite, it's just a usual supply and demand rule. When BTC is getting the halving it's only the miners that are affected and not the holders so don't expect much, consider having a price pump as a bonus.
About altcoins dumping, that's not guaranteed either, there are chance that the price in BTC will be the same but the value in USD is rising or the price to BTC is lowering but the value in USD is basically the same.

yes including large pump groups will do it when btc dump to  reasonable price.when btc dominance redused large players ad groups will pump money in to alt coin and will pump them for more and more btc

Recently what I am seeing is that the trend has changed. Before with BTC price increase, Altcoins used to follow it which is no more the case. The BTC dominance is as high as 70% which is pretty much unbeatable. With halving being scheduled next year, the dominance is likely to increase as people will be shifting to BTC in expectation of higher price according to past trends.

if you ask me i will always say that having a bunch of altcoins and calling it a portfolio is a wrong move to begin with. you yourself already said how the altcoins get dumped whenever bitcoin rises so there really isn't any point in having them at all.
if you check the altcoin performances, you can see that they always perform well only in a very short time and then from that time onward it is a poor performance filled with dumps. which makes holding a terrible idea.
with bitcoin having coming on and the price rise of bitcoin there is even more danger threatening altcoins. another reason for not bag holding them.
Already learned in the past and i can attest this situation based on my experience.Holding altcoins is never been ideal but good for those people who do able to baghold
specially those top altcoins in the market which is somehow their prices do back up and recover but most of the time they are being dumped when btc dominance and demand starts to cling up.Diversifying isnt really bad but you'll soon realize that this isnt always an ideal step for you to take. We know on what crypto is mainly on demand and from the word alternative which suits out on the name "altcoin" which isnt really something a serious thing for you to accumulate but still your choice though.

I think that before we will see a strong increase in the price of bitcoin, there will be a very powerful altcoin season. I am sure that large players will not miss the opportunity to earn more bitcoins for themselves

This is a simple logic. When there will be more money in the crypto, both the altcoins and bitcoins will pump.
As always is the case, after the bitcoin halving we will be completing the next bitcoin cycle and probably the next big pump for the bitcoins.
But for this we might have to wait for another year or so.

Altcoins price usually falling when btc moving because, when BTC price increase altcoin USD price increase but pairs with btc are fall because traders sell altcoin for btc, better have btc when he rise. When BTC price falling traders sell it for fiat, because atleat more fiar = more btc. Vicious circle, thats why altcoin life beggin when btc stable.

During halving that has happened before, the price of bitcoin always increases and all altcoins are affected. I think the same thing will happen at halving later and hope that all altcoin can rise and the market will recover. Many experts also predict that halving will make bitcoin skyrocket again, we wait and see.

When you look into the history you will see that this is the best time for buy because historically Bitcoin started to grow few months before halving (speculation) and after halving price of BTC pumped hard.
What about altcoins? They will surely follow BTC move, but they will not give us such profit like we saw in the past.  Cry

And this is the most reasonable answer.
However, we must not forget that this is still just speculation and not a law that will definitely happen again. But in my opinion, this scenario is also the most probably.

You do not have to worry for your portfolio as when with halving the value of bitcoin goes better then it put the impacts on all the market. So the value of all other coins also rises. Because with the rising value of bitcoin many more people come to join the crypto community and they then start to trade so it brings a good time for the market.

Altcoins market never attracted big investors except for ETH & some others. This is why the price of altcoins showing more volatility than bitcoin. BTC halving is another biggest threat for altcoin markets. The price of most of the altcoin is down over 90% so at this condition altcoin holders may find themselves in difficult position if the price of altcoins keeps finding new lows. BTC halving is always a benefit for bitcoin investors but this halving may bring something new. In the past BTC price went up a lot during halving but we might see BTC price is the same position. LTC halving had high hype like the BTC halving but price of LTC didn't move.  Maybe BTC halving is giving benefits to big bag holders to pump the price up & then another crash.

I hope this time BTC price won't move too much during halving period. If the BTC price moves too much then the altcoins market will see another flash crash. We will see various token price touching new lows. Very hard position for people who are still holding altcoins.

Be careful, Bitcoin halving may be overrated. It may cause (directly or not) a FOMO-bubble or not, however, if it does it, it will not be the only trigger (hashrate use to be another indicator).
I don't say that your questions have no basis. I just want to tell that there are many more things to take into account and the problem is the same with or without the halving.

PS. Afaik the good years for Bitcoin price were also good for altcoins, just with some delay.

Bitcoin is very volatile and we are investors who are facing many risks during this period. Over the past few days Bitcoin has dropped to $7700 and this is the fastest drop in a year. Now, the thing I'm most worried about is that this market doesn't have any stability so we could lose money very quickly without a specific strategy. I will personally choose a safe solution and will not buy any coins during this period

Of course, it will be time for everyone to be able to buy cheaply but this year is a very bad year for the whole market and you should consider carefully when investing.

If you are worried of your portfolio getting less value, do something with that by packing up your altcoins and selling it for bitcoin. But if you don't want to, you have an option to keep your alts while buying bitcoin with a new fund or budget that you have.
The trend likely is going to be positive and increasing each every halving but it won't come immediately just like what I've observed last halving. I'm really hoping for an impact of it to have a bull run.

Since bitcoin halving is coming what do you think will happen? many altcoin whales will dump altcoin for bitcoin to take advantage of the bitcoin halving, this means altcoins can still go down in price, altcoins will start surging when after halving when whales start pumping money back into altcoins

Just because of the halving coming up I am quite certain that this recent fall of bitcoins is caused by the whales who sold a ton of bitcoins and now collecting small by small. They know very well where the trends are and where the walls are so if they can sell just enough to drop the price below the wall then it will continue to fall to the next wall until it stops all thanks to panic sellers and traders. Unfortunately altcoins are following bitcoin prices when bitcoin market is falling down.

But, due to upcoming halving, BTC prices may skyrocket and while skyrocketing it may boost altcoin markets too. If you notice BTC prices are rarely staying in stable trend. It will be always either in up or down markets. So, upcoming halving will most probably boost BTC prices which may help altcoin markets to recover.

It means now whales have a chance to buy both BTC and altcoins  as much as they can as slowly as they can until the next fall and that is why there is really no point on getting too upset about the down fall of altcoin markets, surely we would love it if it went higher up but when it drops for no reason at all and we can't explain it with a good logic that must mean that market is being manipulated and we will be fine if we wait long enough. All these are applicable only if you are holding reputed coins/tokens. If you are a holder of shitcoins then no one could help you out.

I have 2 possibilities that might happen based on our market situation.

1. A major drop happens due to this Bakkt futures listing. Because of this drop, altcoin gets another dump again and squeeze almost 30% of its price before stabilizing. It remains this way a month before halving and Bitcoin start to get the pump. Bitcoin and Altcoin will reach this level again a few weeks before the halving. Remember, the price will not increase dramatically after the halving. It increases after months of consolidation

2. Nothing major happens and the price fluctuates a lot, going upward and downward from time to time based on Bitcoin price. Bitcoin price will face its major bull run after halving and at the same time altcoin will face another breakthrough. This is very unlikely to happen because the market shows us the opposite of this. But of course, everything is possible

There are two possibilities that will have happened with that situation
1. People throw more money from their pocket to buy bitcoin
2. People liquidated their altcoins to buy bitcoin
If the first scenario happened and altcoin has nothing to do with it consider about that will not give a huge impact to the price of the altcoin. Bitcoin gets fresh money that means the movement of bitcoin will not a big dump for altcoin.
if the second scenario happened and then a big sell-off for altcoin can happen anytime but in my experience, i have watched the 2016's bitcoin halving and it not gives a big impact to the price of altcoin.
This time the capability of bitcoin to give a huge impact to the altcoin's price is much stronger consider about the bitcoin price that becomes more expensive than before and the bitcoin dominance will become a few factors that can give a huge impact to the altcoin.
But it's true if the less inflation will make bitcoin even more expensive.
More and more miners have no power to dump a lot of bitcoin.

You can't really say for certain that bitcoin will double or even 5x or 10x. While it's true that the halvening is a highly anticipated event that historically increases the value of bitcoin, the market conditions show us that bitcoin is so volatile and everything can turn south in a few minutes.

If altcoins will be affected it will be in mass fasion meaning it will be hard to single out a specific altcoin, all will be down. If any altcoin will go down more, then it's reason will be specific to it and you have to do the necessary for each altcoin individually.

Naturally, Altcoins will plummet on that time considering that there is no fresh liquidity entering on the crypto world. The most probable scenario is altcoins whales will convert to BTC before halving occurred that will result for altcoins bear season. But this scenario will occur if it meets the condition that no new liquidity enters on crypto. The story goes different when newbie investors enter because of the FUD that will be surely happening when bitcoin halving is near. Expect great price movement on Bitcoin and Altcoins from December to January that might give us the hint on what will be the possible condition of the market.
