In all seriousness though, read this paper written by Anon136, a Hero forum member who is beyond reproach, before making up your mind on Nxt. If after reading it you still think Nxt is a scam, the best thing you could do is keep your eyes peeled for the first Nxt clone that "does it right". I personally don't think one will be necessary.

Many people including me believe that the future of Diamond can be found outside of this forum. It is great to see iOS developer, Android developers use Diamond wallet as an activation engine and payment gateway. Game industry is big. I love games. Many people love games. I believe that small and medium game developers love Diamond because it has all the feature of Bitcoin and PeerCoin and a gamer-friendly name. Moreover, it is much faster. Gamers love high speed things. They will love Diamond because of its fast transaction. It is a conventional wisdom that many gamers can mine Diamond and exchange it with each other. They love what they can control. Also, I believe that third party developers, payment gateway services and libraries that integrate Diamond with games, e-commerce engines and forums/CMS (PHPBB, VBulletin ...) will open up a new developer ecosystem which drives Diamond forward.

Why isn't anyone making something that's actually, you know, different from bitcoin? And don't bring up that NXT scamcoin.

I speculate rumours, half truths originate from China, quickly copy/pasted onto shock-headline loving sites over here for their own interest($).
& that the same people that short PMs, soy beans to buy cheap are doing the same thing via readers perception to scoop up some btc.

I agree for long term, but I think BTC might go down a little more, because of all of China's uncertainty. Of course it will quickly go back up as soon as this is finaly over with.

Actually, it's speculation, faith and hope

This is not speculation, this is faith...or hope. 

In my humble opinion, most cryptocurrencies will rise exponentially this week. They are way below the prices of the end of november while, paradoxically, interest in them and the number of users have been going up. Plus, with this semi-stable bitcoin price, I think people will get bored and send some of them to the wild west that is the altcoin market. I thus suggest investing right now
