If a crypto project has so many pages in just one single thread on this forum, does that mean they are doing good work with their project, keeping focused every day and their supporters are also active and contributing with good content each day? or a project having many pages in one thread has to do with other reasons?

I have seen the Dash project, for example, having a lot of pages in just one thread, and they are one of the top threads in the altcoins section.

If a project has many pages and they keep very active does that guarantees the potential buyers a good investment with them?

The size of thread is the measure of the developers involvement in the interaction with the community in the forum. The more of the developers are actively answering the users doubts, the more people would question and discuss. Though a stagnant thread doesn't mean a bad project but there would be a communication gap. The activity can be in this forum, reddit or even on the github community. More active communication do happen in discord and telegram.

With the rate at which projects are going, it would be funny for one to base his judgement of a good project simply by the number of pages the project has on a thread in the forum. Projects with several threads doesn't even justify anything. One needs to make more informed research before drawing conclusions on the validity of a project.

This kinda wrong information about any projects. By making rules for new projects just like have to submit new work every day, we can't justify new projects. Always users, hunters and investors has interest in good project that how good project makes so many pages. Some projects can run several round in one page.

We can't determine just by looking how many pages the thread may have,

It cannot show us the outcome of the project just because of that. About the Dash project, it is already in the market for years and it is one of the great project that has been launched in this forum. No wonder why their thread reached almost 7k pages.

You cant tell but talking about those top Alts like dash then it did already able to withstant the test of time and its just normal to have those lots of pages on its own thread but it doesnt mean that it is good into some projects.

You can spot out which one do talks about development or simply the project is still on sale or ico time. You can tell which one does have potential and which one is trash thats why we should really be careful on selecting.

We cant still tell on which one would able to stand the test of time or would die eventually on the way of their development yet all would vary on community support.

The number of pages in a thread does not mean that the project is doing good.  The posts on those pages may be a pile of complaints from disappointed investors, or possibly discussion is from the paid Shiller or thread booster.  With regard to Dash, being around for some years now, it is really logical to see their thread with many pages, it is here where Dash started their project and they discuss a lot on the thread but as I said, having those healthy discussion does not mean that the project is doing well in terms of market performance, or project delivery.

No, it doesn't guarantee that they have a lot of potential buyers.
Remember that not all posts included in that thread came from every investor. Most of them is coming from paid endorsement and announcement coming from the progress of the project.

In this case I will assume it is the announcement thread or ANN thread of the project you are referring to. Now, about that, a project having so many pages in its ANN thread shows there are active discussions going on which results to so many pages. It also shows the community is active, not just the team but the users as well and it is a good one as people seeking to invest will get first hand Information as well as the direction the project is heading to. Also, there are other projects without active ANN thread but still performing well, but rather having an ANN thread in the bitcointalk community is a good decision as it give more exposure to the project.

if a thread have many pages its only means that the project still alive and have many supporters. All project that have many supporters always success - if you are asking me yes, that coin is good to invest even for long term. DASH is also one of the example of good coin in the market .

But, you cannot rely it all with the number of pages. What if there are really 3 supporters in there whose up until now is posting in that announcement thread.
I get it that Dash is a good choice but how about for others?
ICO's specially. You could see a lot of them which have like 200 pages but all are just reports.
While in the announcement section it was just bashing and those who are posting because of the rule which was given to them.
It may have been abolished but still there could be rules that might have sent thru PM's.

I have been through a lot of loss already with different altcoins because of just hypes. Better to prevent that from happening.
Lol not just that. What if there's really no supporters just some paid shills who don't know about the project but keeps posting to get paid. Cryptocurrency is about hype do not take anything seriously unless it has world impact. I do not believe in number of Ann thread pages or activities in Telegram group, I look out for how far is the project into their roadmap, is there any difference such project is making in real life.

Have many pages can't guarantee the project will success because all depend developer hard works, market movement and crypto users transactions. Actually you only need to check their pages, is it needed and have valuable information or just spam to boost pages?. We should think objective when see project works and progress, every developer have different strategy, we only need to follow which one can bring us profit.

Has anyone here familiar with altcoinstalk forum? I think that platform is really good cause they have each section for different coins which mostly are major ones. I know they are focus on the altcoin part since the name reflect with it right. So its okay if in here we could see a lot of topics in different page pertaining to different altcoins since this forum is mostly prioritize bitcoin which I think is the objective.

An asset that has many pages of comments from their community is a generally a good sign it is a healthy project provided the developers are active and participating in discussion but this doesn't always translate into price movements for those look at new announcements, upgrades, partnerships etc

It is a food sign for a project to have many pages, but most important is that they keep focusing on developing new features and keep people informed via their main thread, there are many projects that don't normally post updates and let their investors waiting for info or investors need to track them, Better to keep all the news and updates in just one thread.

I will consider the time the thread was started and the activeness of the thread moderators over the time to analyze the extent of activeness of the thread. In previous years moderators are more active here than any other medium, so they generated more discussions from investors, traders and users. Nowadays Telegram has more response for interested individuals and team are frequent there than here.  Any recently started thread with long thread and active moderators could likely dong well

It shows a healthy interest in this specific cryptocurrency from day 1.
Yes for Dash it's a different ball game but let us not attribute this same feature to other projects here. Page number is not a determinant of project performance. I think not all projects have an Ann thread yet they're making progress with their project development.

In my own opinion I think it is a good thing as it displays the readiness of the team as well as the users to ensure the platform grows so as to benefit all. A project with such thread will be filled with questions, answers, ideas, discussion, possible solutions and ways to advance so as to remain relevant on the long run. Also, any type of investors that gets associated with such projects thread will be moved to invest as he has seen how the platform is being run and managed.

depends on the content of the pages because there are threads that just being Pumped by Bot or some paid bumper to make some conversation but the content is generic, talking same thing again and again.
and it is very important if the team is engaging more in conversation updating each progress they have and plans in future so investors might keep looking on their project and may consider also investing a little as starter and will add soon the time they found this legitimate,we cannot blame investors because they are tired of scammings.

I get what youre saying. Talks of the town projects means their platform is really interesting lets say for example ethereum which I think have hundreds to thousands of topics being discussed here is a clear fact and proof that people are into it. That's how media makes thr shill out of these cryptocurrency projects. Social and media hype helps in the investment progress and attraction of investors. Though isnt a good basis but a sure method of doing so.

Dash is surely one of good projects, but don't make quantity of comments your focus, some projects have bounties where participants are paid to make comments on their threads. Check if there are genuine interactions then go ahead.
Paid to make comments? That's a pretty lame of advertisement for a project. Natural conversation is healthy for a proejct growth. You are right, we better take it seriously and notice those interactions by users here. But that point added a value as people reading something good on forum which helps in their deciding factor for invetsment.

No I think the projects it not good or good some project required to post there the promoter's that why in one single forum are many pages. Some are scam also there's a lot of complaint that why you can see have many pages. Many pages in one forum it doesn't mean the projects are good.

No, it doesn't matter. This suggests that there are heated discussions about the project, but no more. The success of the project is determined by the work of the team. If it is responsible, then the project will be successful.

Although I might consider the activity of an altcoin thread while I pick alts to invest in, I never use it as a large part of my decisionmaking process because many projects actively pay and/or encourage people to post in their thread(s) to keep things active, and the quality of posts also varies from thread to thread, though for the most part this doesn't vary much.

I don't think activity's a particularly valid or invalid way of determining whether or not to invest in alts, if you do choose it in your decisionmaking, make sure you're also looking at other aspects of the project you are interested in.

This is not a guarantee that the project is good. You should understand that there are many projects and which one will succeed is unknown. Choose a responsible team, preferably one that has already had successful projects. This increases the chances.

It doesn't guarantee to have potential buyers or prove that it is a good project. But at least, it means that many people become interested in that project. Why people become interested? Or why many people respond to the thread? These may be the reasons :
1. There is something interesting about the project. It may be about the quality, concept, team members, giveaways, or something else.
2. The project makes a bounty program that obligates the participants to comment on the ANN thread.
3. The tokens of the project are already launched/listed on the exchange and the improvement of their values looks impressive.
4. The project is backed up by a popular company/companies in the world.

In my opinion, those are some of the functions of this bitcointalk forum, they asked questions and answers related to the development of their project. And that does not mean if their threads are not active and rarely question and answer, their project does not develop, some of their teams are more active in telegrams or other official chat sites.

I believe you are referring to ANN thread. If so, a project with such or many number of pages shows one important thing; an active project, one which both the team and the community interacts and share ideas. It is really a good thing for a project to have an active presence in the Bitcointalk community as it tends to expose the project to like-minded people thus leading to the right set of investors getting associated with the project.

Having many pages in one thread says a lot about the project in question. It really shows the activeness of the project not just to development alone but to the community members as well. It shows that the team are ready and open to discussions which will help in the growth of the platform. Also, in such threads you will find well analysed questions which will draw the team into giving Interesting answers as well, it is also through some questions that one can easily know if the team is really experienced and knows what they are doing. Furthermore, such projects are easily promoted by the community which in turn results to more exposure and growth.

If we are not talking about bounty threads where social media and twitter reports are posted then probably so.

Its one observation that could be true in bitcointalk. Old threads that are still active today like DASH or Ethereum Inception are active threads still. People are replying to the thread and probably the developers are also actively answering inquiries to the question given by the users.

Yes, the project is active but that does not mean that the project is legit and worth investing, remember Bitconnect has a huge number of pages but it turns out to be a big scam and a Ponzi scheme, it all goes down to the project and how the community see it, don't trust the announcement always check if the platform really contribute to the growth of the community.
It just means that the quantity of pages of a crypto project can't be use as a foundation of decision whether a project is legit and profitable. It's their approach to convince people that the intention of the project was good and it is worthy of trust. Its indeed better to ensure by checking and researching various of information with regards to the project that will assist you on determining if its worthwhile.

No it doesn't mean that they're doing well with project development or roadmap at that. Remember most of these comments can be paid for another way of keeping a project hype sustained. But with Dash, it might be real community members given the Dash project is big and has attracted lots of investors over the years. But any new project with lots of pages does not mean it's real.
That's wrong. Isn't it something wrong to create a conversation between one to another supporters? I just try to take ethereum announcement thread as an example and there will be a lot of supporters, haters, and many more. These creatures are joining in the same room and that makes the conversation between them exist. that's why there was a lot of pages in one announcement thread. Some threads are also full with development progress.

Having so many pages on pages on the thread of a project, particularly with active posts, does not guarantee that it is a good project.
There are lots of threads that are being peddled by newbies. Such project should be treated with caution because it is possible that someone was paid to make posts with his newbie accounts, in order to attract investors and make them think that so many people are interested in the project. Also, if highly ranked accounts should make a post on such thread, no matter how active it might be, it does not also give a reason for you to believe in such a project. In-depth research is very essential.
DAsh, in this case, is a project that has been in the space for quite some time now. We all know it is a good project and the team is very active. So, it is possible it has so many pages with posts. the same is applicable to others, the longer time they spend and the authenticity of such project can be a determinant as to whether it will have so many pages.

There are lots of shit/dead or unsuccessful projects have lot of pages in their thread. They have lot of pages because people want to know about them and talking or discuss about the project there. A good project do not carry just a lot of discussion they full fill customers demand and follow their road map step by step.

Dash is a great altcoin. They announce them self in bitcointalk in January, 2014. So it's a common thing that people talk about them from past 6 years which make that thread so popular in this forum. Don't see how many people talk about project (cause now days you can hire people for talk to your side even if you are wrong), see how much worth that project in crypto industry and how much possibility to achieve their success. Here some tips that can make understand a good quality project.

That means the project with many pages in the thread has a lot of investors and of course they are there discussing about the future development of the DASH project so there is a lot of discussion in the thread.

Projects with many pages have true fans so many of them have conversations well.

But we also have to see which projects are better for investment,

BTT forums are very important for a project for marketing.

In the past a project that had many pages in the announcement thread meant that the project was in great demand by many people, but not for now. It can be bought, using a fake account or you can also use bounty participants to post a lot there

Older coins would have more pages then newer coins, so if you want to use this metric, you'll have to normalize it for time, by dividing it by the number of months since the thread was created. It can also be important to look at the recent posting activity instead of all posts.

But overall it isn't a good metric, a lot of shitcoins incentivize posting in their ANN thread or just hire shills. Try to look at the quality of conversations in those threads - if its full of comments like "good project" and "i hope this project will soon rise", instead of more technical discussion, then it's a good sign that you are looking at a shitcoin.

very guarantee that in my opinion because with the trust that has long been built of course the community will not allow an altcoin price to fall, so choose altcoin that has been long and strong in all respects

I don't think that the number of pages directly relate to the success of the project... if it is an old project like Dash, it means that they have an active community here in BTT, but I don't think we can extrapolate anything else... (other projects might be using discord more, for example)...
As for recent projects with a lot of pages.... this is probably hype...

Are they also making signature campaign as a mandatory to post at their ANN thread?
Those are the rules before. You better look at it.
But if not, then maybe the community is just intrigued with their project but it doesn't mean it will end well.
It could just be some hype and then calm down for a long time.

You know that happened here before. i.e. Waves, Bitconnect and a lot more.
Do your own research over and over and don't rely with the number of pages.

If a crypto project has so many pages in just one single thread on this forum, does that mean they are doing good work with their project, keeping focused every day and their supporters are also active and contributing with good content each day? or a project having many pages in one thread has to do with other reasons?
It means that it's a very active project and people are coming to that thread asking and discussing things everything that relates to that project. It could be a basis for some reasons but it doesn't really mean success although it has a lot of pages. It's possible before, that project is very active and on hype so people are coming there and conversing with anything they can as long as it relates to the project.

I have seen the Dash project, for example, having a lot of pages in just one thread, and they are one of the top threads in the altcoins section.

If a project has many pages and they keep very active does that guarantees the potential buyers a good investment with them?
Not really, don't depend on that but Dash is a good project and altcoin for me.
