Thanks for adding [StableCoin] into your list even though it is a discussion topic and not an actual coin implementation. I'm thrilled to have so many new people to bounce ideas off of. Please send me more!

but I think we are forgetting the fact that there are millions of threads on this forum based on btc so btc really does have about 75%+ in "interest"

Yes, BTC only makes it into this count when it shows up in this alternate cryptocurrency forum.  And the counting is not (and cannot be) an exact science, I'm afraid.

Btw, this last count included BTC0, which is my name for Bitcoin Testnet.

You should enter these into a spreadsheet.

- have a column for each update
- also a column with the averages
- a nice graph with the average at the bottom

Good idea btw,

Cheers,

Ch

Pictures make everything better Tongue but I think we are forgetting the fact that there are millions of threads on this forum based on btc so btc really does have about 75%+ in "interest" we're the other crypto currencies can split apart the other 25% or less. Just my opinion but I do love this thread it's nice to see what people are interested in.... Also would be nice to see what people were talking about say last month compared to this month.
That would be a lot of work tho

BTE looks dead already Smiley

Heh!  My prediction is that BTE will go through a short to mid term lag in interest, possible attack, crash, etc., but long term will ramp up to be something quite substantial.

And my prediction is worth exactly what you paid for it. Wink

Statistically fun to look at!

If I have a conversation about BQC with someone, it's 6x more important than BTC... but only half as important as an FC conversation!

No PPC??? Wow

yeah very few people undestand PPC atm....to much effort....think of PPC being at where BTC was three years ago....

PPC uses a host of unique and novel features, that the proof of work models may have to emulate....makeing PPC the new BTC

I would not be surprised to see PPC  go to parity or above BTC.

For one people haven't cottoned on that there are almost no coins being minted now if I am reading the graphs right

I took a snapshot of threads on the first page of this subforum today and counted what currency was involved in each.  For threads involving multiple currencies, I split proportionately.  (i.e., a thread about an exchange between two currencies counted 0.5 for one currency and 0.5 for the other).  Then I normalized to create an "interest index," giving a vague quantification to what currencies are currently taking up most of the discussion here:

FC: 36.73
LTC: 18.40
BQC: 14.81
FRC: 6.28
NVC: 5.38
TRC: 4.42
XRP: 2.69
forked bitcoin chain: 2.69
DVC: 2.69
StableCoin: 2.69
MC2: 2.69
BTE: 1.92
BTC: 0.90

Total threads considered: 38

I have no idea how you could use these numbers, but I thought they were interesting. Smiley

(I'm also interested in why my sum came out to be 103 instead of 100....)
