As far as I was aware, amd gpus are far behind nvidia gpus in terms of PPD (perhaps this has changed now - it's been a while since I folded).

Other than playing games on them, there are few uses. I guess you could try writing some fun opencl apps?

I imagine that there may be a number of retired mining rigs and thought it might be useful to have somewhere a list of alternate uses for the hardware, either donating time or for profit. Considering the expense of the rig as *water under the bridge*, might as well find some productive use for it.
