Although it is a good suggestion, the lack of posts in that section will make it pointless and unlikely to happens.
If something could be done is adding : [Hw] for hard wallet or [Mw] for mobile wallet...(preferable with a unique color code for each) for example to the topic title although it will not add big things at this point.

I think your suggestion is good for organization, but the number of posts does not justify a new sections for all those wallets and subsections.

A breadwallet board  would have so few posts per year that it would be a dead board.

It is also hard for new legit users to find it. Sometimes people that doesn't have a bitcointalk account need to create a brand new to ask something technical. This user would have a hard time looking for the right section, and he would probably post in "Bitcoin technical support" or other more generic board.

It is even harder for posters, who will answer him, to find his topic and provide lots of replies from different users of the forum (which is good, as many different solutions pop up)_

I think that the section needs a few changes.

It should be split to sections/categories:

Desktop wallets -> Electrum, Armory etc. as subsections.
Mobile wallets -> Bread wallet, Mycelium etc. as subsections.
Hardware wallets. I don't think subsections are needed in this case because not so many people have issues with them but we definitely need a dedicated section because more and more hardware wallet are being created and hitting the market.

Only wallets that have a huge userbase should have their own subsection in my opinion. For example, Electrum does but Wasabi wallet (a new wallet) doesn't need one for now.
