At 40 mh/s on ETH i was maybe between USD$2 - USD$2.50, with the same rigs + cpus mining XMR I’m at USD$4 - USD$4.50, I think it’s the right move for some and should look more into it, zcash was the same as ETH, XMR gets abit more from the CPU’s

Yeah signatum is great for nvidia cards especially 1080ti

I also agree with dual mining eth....switching between DCR and LBC. Potential Coins with big increase in the future...my meaning. And even more profitable than Zcash.

Have you tried skunkhash (Signatum) ? Seems to be pretty good on Nvidia gpus

i was mining some DMD, profits were looking good on paper, but damn, the wallet takes a solid few hours to setup (you need to solo DMD all pools are now down as its going PoS soon), and the block reward is only 0.2 DMD, its a tedious thing to mine :/
Zcash could have a good rise soon, im mining zcoin hoping for a rise if they ever implement MTP ;p

For the 1080Ti, it is better to mine ZCash.

ETH on had me at 2.50 a day, Now with XMR i'm hitting 4 per day, payout threshold is higher 0.5 but in the long run it's working out better

yes all this coin are good to mine buy if you see there difficultly you can find how much share you get and make coin out of it . so as per some search i can find monero coin is best to mine using GPU as per the current difficulty where as compere to eth zcash and other all have quite very high difficultly to mine so my suggestion will  Monero coin until there difficultly increases

For the 1070s i suggest mining LBC, it has very good rewards currently and i'm even more bullish on lbc than a lot of other coins. hold them for a while and they should be getting good rewards.

Not great, I wouldn't go for Siacoin, I had tried it for a while but in the end, I was making less money comparing to mining with Equihash algorithm.

I would definitely recommend Equihash, especially if you have older cards that don't have much memory (You won't have that 3Gb> Requirement for Dag size). The Equihash algorithm is severely affected by the speed of your GPU's memory, newer cards have up to 2000 Mhz of memory Clock. There are a few promising Equihash powered coins, some of them are ZCash, ZenCash.

True with 1060 (p106-100) Eth is more profitable to mine but with 1070 Equihash coins are more profitable especially on a coin that I have mined for weeks. You can trade your equihash coins for ethereum if you want too. A kinda crappy strategies that I use is to trade small amount of equihash coins when price is high for USDT (Yeah I know, but like I said small amount and for the shortest possible time....) and later buy Eth or Btc when price is low. But I`m not afraid to hold short term some equihash. For now I`m not attached to any cryptocurrencies, the only things I care is instant money and seeing my portfolio growing. Most of them are crap made of false promises, so they don`t deserve any loyalty. This past week have got  almost +25% eth, selling high and converting to usdt then buying eth low. Trading produce more coins then mining, just a lil bit more stress to handle but doing this gives me Roi within 4 months for gtx 1070 rigs and could have done better if I have start trading earlier, but need time to study before trading in this irrational market.

Btw: I no longer care about SIA but still have some awaiting to be dump at the first occasion, but getting tired to see them on my portfolio and about to dump them anyway. Months ago trading Sia for a lil better coins while price was good on sc gives me now at least 3x with no effort and soon gonna be 10x. How much time you think that you gonna have to wait to see ur Sia doing 3x or 10x, what are they promising?? While waiting for your SIA to rise 10x I`m gonna have done 100x with them... Lol.  I don`t see how SIA could be a coin to hold. How u think Obelisk Sc asic release gonna impact price on this coin that is not worth a pennie now? More sia available = Price higher, well I`m not sure about that, but might miss something... Maybe there`s better secondary coin to mine, but sorry I`m no longer mining eth since a relatively long time... Leaving this one for AMD guys. Whattomine have a calculator for dual mining Eth+.

I,m dual mining Ether at 150MH/s and SIA at 2,322MH/s with 6 asus p106-100's. the SIA coin just covers the electric and the Ether is my ROI. running at 80% power drawing 650w.

Im dual mining ether and sia coins. I tried zcash but still earn more on ether.

It look like the consensus is really for ZCash as alternative so I think I will give a shot giving 50% of my Hashrate power for a week on ETH and the rest on Zcash and see who is the winner when converting to ETH the Zcash (vs mining ETH Directly).

But is there something even more speculative (the kind of coin you can mine tons of today with no profit, and hold that for a year or so hoping for the best) ?

Also what's your opinion about AMD RX over Nvidia GTX today, my partner keep telling me that Nvidia require less babysitting and keep order more of those.
While all number are giving AMD as a Winner on ETH.  (I realize I'm probably off-topic already and should start another topic for this second question)

first time to try this I will find myself successful in any given time, so with some insight regarding to an alternatives I read about Zec and I going to try that too using my 1060 let see if that can bring something for me.

Zcash (ZEC) is the BEST way with Nvidia GPU's

Look into coins that use the Equihash algorithm. These are mainly Zcash (ZEC), ZenCash (ZEN), Zclassic (ZCL) and a few others. You can also check out a few other algorithms like LBRY (LBC) as they are periodically a bit more profitable.

If you haven't already, you can also check out sites such as https://whattomine.com and input your number and model of GPUs to get a rough estimate of what is most profitable at any given time.

While Nvidia can mine Ethereum somewhat efficiently, you are losing a lot of potential profit by not looking into alternatives, so you are right to question that strategy. Even if you want to end up in ETH, I think you would be better off mining a more efficient Nvidia friendly algorithm, such as Equihash, and then trading those coins for Ethereum. Even accounting for trading fees, you would still end up with more ETH at the end than by trying to mine it directly. AMD pretty much dominates the ETH mining space.

I currently have Mining Hardware delivering +/- 1675 MH/s average Hashrate with Nvidia GPU (1060/1070)
My mining rig are setup & optimized for ETH with NanoPool.

I'm obviously bullish on ETH and don't plan to change my mining strategy since at $320 ETH/USD I'm OK with my annual return.
If ETH price go down under $200 I won't sweat and just keep mining for at least 3 months hoping it go back to $300+

I predict ETH to be $500 or more in 1 year. However this is pure speculation, and I assume I might be totally wrong and eat sour soup!

- What are your current favorite alternative to ETH AltCoin minable with Nvidia GPU ?
- Is there any AltCoin with extremely low difficulty at the moment to mine with Nvidia GPU for pure speculation ?
