Difficult to cheat the system if you ask me.

- Either the item received is damaged:

If you buy something and it doesn't work, you're supposed to send it back and get another one or receive your money back (like everywhere)
With Purse, the person has to get the return label from Amazon, and he can get it on his purse"s account.
Once Amazon receives back the item, they refund with a gift card added to the account that generated the return label.
If the person doesn't want to return the product, it means he has no problem finally.
Some years ago I guess that was the easiest to do. I received fake frangrance from Amazon and they refunded me without even asking for the return or any proofs. And a lot of people were lying that time that made the situation bad, it's still good and okay but was way better that time.

- Either the person says he received nothing (which can be true with Amazon)

It will be up to you to contact Amazon to investigate this matter. They're honest about this and are very good to know the truth (they track the delivery men street by street (I know this because I can see in the morning when I wake up what time he arrives and when he arrives in my neighborhood I can follow him street by street)

In this case, the refund will be sent to you, using the same payment method used initially.
Do they really do that? Because a lot of people use shipping forwarder companies and still lie to amazon, hp and other companies about not receiving the item. That's sad reality and that's why I am asking about what happens when someone cheats through purse.io (mostly I mean some liars who use shipping forwarders too).

Since this thread has been revoked, I'll ask here.
On purse.io you can earn bitcoin or bitcoin cash by ordering for others. When you order, you send the tracking number and other details to the client. Once the item gets delivered, he/she has to confirm that the item is received. And you know, there are a lot of cases when the buyer lies that he/she hasn't received the item or it's damaged, etc. What's done in this case? Does the user has to ask for refunds all the time? This will turn his/her account into danger. Idk, is anyone earning crypto on purse.io?

@Bitcoin_Arena

Yep, a few weeks after my original post. Good that I didn't waste my time with it. Look like they changed their activity since, for a platform to host NFT sales. They're at originprotocol.com

As an alternative to Purse.io, if you're still looking, I was talking with someone in the French sub-forum some days ago and he/she told me about Shopping.io.

I knew the website in the early days but forgot about it. He said that the website is running fine. (The person bought a laptop with a ~10% discount). He also added that they will add Aliexpress but couldn't give any ETA. The words were, more or less, "at any time"
(You have already Amazon, eBay and another one available.)
The more tokens you hold, the bigger the discount you get. You can also get free shipping.

One thing (not important) is, they have some bizarre restrictions: you can't buy gold or CPU. Don't ask me why I have no idea and was puzzled to hear that

Didn't try since I have access to Amazon vouchers 3% under the value and I'm fine with it but when Aliexpress will be here I will probably sign up

Just an update. I was looking for purse.io alternatives and ended up on this page. It turns out origindeals.com was just an experimental service and was shutdown a few months later according to the announcement banner displaying on the site

I checked my website and i have skepticism since their guide mention "Add the Origin Deals extension to your browser in just a few seconds."
I'm also quite curious about how they work. How do they link to those sites? How do they handle payments while studying is just an extension and don't have any other perks? Still quite confused about how they work there
I wonder if the discount continuously decreased? Looks like the reason they offer discount is to boost OGN token adaption/usage.
Probably a business tactic of them, I can vaguely understand how to do this.

People can get a discount of up to 20%, but there are 2 things to consider.
Based on their website, it's up to 15% now.

7 out of its 16 reviews are mentioning them being scammers...
- Probably not that safe.

But I can't find how much is needed to get the 20%.
Based on the background of their website, each product requires a different amount of OGN for the locking up part.

There's a limit:
There are some category exceptions, such as gift cards and collectible coins. Purchases are currently limited to a minimum price of $10 and a maximum price of $300.

As for the taxes, I don't know to what you're referring too? We pay the VAT I think it's enough =)
Yes, it is  Cheesy Taxes vary from state to state  Cheesy For example, if it's about 5%, you buy an item and you get a 10% discount, then you pay 5% for the tax, meaning the actual discount is around 5%  Cheesy So when you buy goods without taxes, you always have better discounts, right?  Cheesy

Or even if origindeal works (and IS safe to use), I would love to buy some stuff off amazon with bitcoin. That'd be real nice, gonna treat meself in this stonefuck quarantine.
As a check out provider on this forum, I understand this issue. Actually, there is no limit to the countries where they or me can provide our service. But for other countries, you will have to pay a big shipping fee. In addition, the shipping time to other countries is about one month (I used to deliver to a country other than the US). Large shipping fee + long time = prevent profits.
In this case, the best solution I can recommend, you should have a partner (a shipping company at a warehouse in the US that can ship to your country). Then you can recieve your goods directly from Amz and resend to your country. This cost will be cheaper than Amz and you can manage it through your partner  Wink

I know this isn't exactly on topic, but is purse.io in general itself safe? I haven't used it before, and I am a non-US user as well.
Yes. I personally know people that already used them without any issue. You may want to take a look at this if you are not from the "United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Japan"

I'm not sure if they are safe, considering that this post was the first mention I saw about them, but they only support US customers.

Can you give me more information? For example, shipping costs, taxes, ...? I even free shipping and taxes for many US states, but my service is not much interested  Roll Eyes

The shipping cost is free most of the time because it's sent directly from Amazon warehouses. You know, with Amazon sellers can send their items to Amazon and the company takes care of the logistic and delivery.
And I think they use a Prime account as well

IIRC, Purse.io was bought by Roger Ver, so I can see them favoring BCH in some way in the future. So far it looks the same?

The problem with this alternative is obviously that you need to buy and lock their coin, which can drop heavily in price. You buy it only get the discount, meanwhile someone which did the same before may be getting his ONG back (after his lock) and will sell them, making the price fall. When the lock is over, you sell for a loss.

Maybe that's not an major issue if you don't need a lot of ONG coins to get the discounts. But I can't find how much is needed to get the 20%.

Oh, I see. As you can guess they added Btrash to Purse.io but nothing changed besides this. The website is still dead like it was for many months before. For example, for the US market, there are only 6-7 users with a listing. I checked all countries and altogether there are less than 100 people.
I don't think R. Ver bought the company but he just injected some funds in. No news says he owns it now

And yeah, I didn't consider the fact the token's price can drop during the 3 months. However for the first purchase, it's free, no token needed

And to my understanding, it's available only to US citizens I think. who's already used it? Maybe someone could be interested in...
Cheesy Because it only provide services to citizens in the US, I think they are operating in the same way that I provide check out services on this forum  Cheesy The only difference is that they have a website to run it, and I only have one topic here  Cheesy Can you give me more information? I found a website that looks like Purse.io.

People can get a discount of up to 20%, but there are 2 things to consider.

The user needs to buy and keep their token (ONG) in his account. The tokens are locked for 3 months, after this period you can of course transfer out the tokens and sell for BTC or whatever. (Not a big deal if you're a regular buyer.) You can also earn tokens if you don't want to buy but can not sell after the 3-months period.

And to my understanding, it's available only to US citizens I think. who's already used it? Maybe someone could be interested in...

(And while talking about Purse.io, look like finally, they're not planning to shut down... https://twitter.com/PurseIO/status/1267538635810881539)

Save money when you shop on Amazon.
Save money when you shop on Amazon. Get up to 20% off eligible products when you lock up Origin Tokens (OGN).

Origin Deals gives you access to amazing discounts on millions of items from Amazon when you lock up OGN. All products purchased on Origin Deals are shipped directly from Amazon.

Here's how it works:

1) Shop like you normally would on Amazon and click the blue Origin Deals button when you’re ready to check out.
2) Deposit OGN into the built-in wallet in the Origin Deals extension to unlock discounts.
3) Get your OGN back after the short lock-up period so you can use it for future discounted purchases.
