Topic: Alternatives to Rootstock? (Read 626 times)
I read an article on Coindesk in which some comparisons are made between Qtum and Rootstock, but it was not clear to me the difference between them. Does anyone have an opinion on this? And which of the projects do you think would work more efficiently?
These projects like rootstock are basically aiming to rival ethereum. But they are so far behind in development i wouldn't even call them rivals. It's like comparing a car prototype with a spaceship prototype. Not in the same league.
Not to mention that there's a high possiblity for them to never be integrated into bitcoin. Bitcoin hardly improve at all because the community and developing team are extremely divided. Mostly because of centralization ( mining, development and political centralized ).

Never had a deep look into it, but this sounds really interesting, is it already usable?

Are there any sensible alternatives to Rootstock? That is - systems that would allow sidechains, and/or turing-complete machines on top of Bitcoin blockchain?
Rootstock seems overly complicated to me, and I'm considering launching an alternative...
