In Device Manager.

I guess I'd better backup everything - I don't really trust System Restore. Thanks for the tip!

Deleting a device in device manager doesn't delete the driver per se.  You should just be able to unplug the erupter and plug it back in.  That should have no bearing on Zadig being able to run either.

Restoring a restore point doesn't change any user files.  Just the registry settings for an application/device driver that was installed.

How did you "delete" the driver?

The Zadig utility creates a restore point.  So do a system restore and try again.

I have really old laptop (Win Vista) I'm trying to set up a Block Erupter on.  I downloaded Zadig and it seemed to work but then the latest CGminer didn't recognize the device.  So, I deleted the driver and restarted the computer to try again, and now Zadig crashes every time before it even launches.  I redownloaded Zadig a number of times and tried a couple of versions, even looked in the registry for a Zadig registry key (since it's a standalone exe), but nothing.  Can I just download a WinUSB driver and point to it in Device Manager?  I searched, but every reference to WinUSB v6 was just a page about Zadig.

Also would love to entertain any ideas about getting Zadig working again.
