I told my wife I was gonna wire some money to Gox and try to buy some coins, had already sold @ 900, watched it sit there through January, then bought back in @ 320.  Made a pretty nice chunk of BTC (or so I thought).

Decided to invest some spare cash by wiring it to Gox around the 18th. Cry

My wife decided she would send a little of her cash too.  I warned her of the risks, but she knew I sent some money, and knows enough about BTC from my constant ramblings.  Maybe I was a little to infatuated with the thought of financial freedom, but anyway, she thought it was worth the risk too.  Mainly because of me though.

She is a good woman.  She didn't blame me for her losses.

So, in classic anti-Gox/stingy mofo behavior, I decided to give her 2.5BTC which more than covered her fiat loss.

And I feel damn good about it, to the point where my losses don't hurt much at all.  A little ALTRUISM goes a long way when you are feeling blue, to the giver and the receiver.

Merry frickin' Christmas, and to all a good day!
