Being a religious person is not by face or mouth, it has to do with the real practice of what the religious beliefs says, many are just a figure head and are just following the crowd without doing the main practice, it's what deals with lifestyle and patterned way of life, if you're doing something over time and have no results to show for it, then it's high time to change the way of approach in doing it and check yourself.
Do we have to buy in to all those religious ideas and start taking responsibilities,  I agree with all that you have said and this is why I mostly don't be religious rather just be a good person,  and understanding the law of existence which os kama fhat deal fairly with everybody in the world,  I have come along a lot lately and with my level of understanding,  religion is man mad and there is no why you can practice it just like education without following the principles.

Without following the principles,  you can't get the results.

Whatever principles you live by in life, they are your religion. Nobody has exactly the same religion as anybody else. Some religions have better principles than others, principles that only do good to other people, and principles that promote the worship of the One Universal God.

Being a Christian does not guarantee immediate success, Christianity is a religion, and the major question is, are you a believer, do you believe in the word of the Father and his son, are you following their footsteps, a portion of the Bible says I will bless the works of thy hands, what are you doing, note you cannot be idle and expect a miracle money, I think that will amount to a high level of unseriousness by the individual involved, as a believer temptation will come, but being steadfast to tackle it makes you a strong believer and a faithful fellow, as a Christian don't expect everything in a platter of the gold, hustle and chase your dreams, pray and believe in what God can do, he must surely do it. Be a doer of his words, and make sure you groom yourself toward success.

Yes in deed as a christian, christ like and christ followers and we are surposed to have every things in as a redemmed child of God,as bible said.so my question is that why are christian still poor, when the bible says christ was rich and for our sake he was made poor that we should be rich, then why are there still poor christians,to the exstent of cross carpeting to muslims.i think we the so call christians are the problem,1 the knowledge of the scripture is not there that is why they know not how to enter the city.

I will agree with you that we aren't meant to be poor as Christ like people at the same time permit me to draw our attention to a Bible quote that says "faith without works is dead "
Yes God has indeed promised us that when we seek his kingdom first all other earthly goodies shall me added to our lives but that will not happen by staying idle,  remember our Lord Jesus worked and reaped from it, for  instance as God in human form he understood that there is dignity in labour which was why he joined his earthly father to do his carpentry work. Secondly as divinity he knew his mission on earth wasn't going to be an easy one so he prepared himself in fasting and prayers which yielded results during his stay on earth with miracles.

In Christianity today many people are too lazy to work for daily bread they prioritise everything with believe without works meanwhile God has confirmed it in "duet. 28:12 and psalm 90:17" that he will bless and prosper the works of our hands why, because we are no longer in the era of free "mana" from above so he has asked us to work so that he will see a medium to bless us here on earth.

So in other to avert poverty as Christians we must work and ask in faith for God to bless and prosper our works.

Being a christian doesn't guarantee you total freedom from poverty irrespective of your believe and obedience to the word of Jesus Christ which is your saviour you still need to do things that will make you stay out of poverty and that is by you working or establishing a business that will give you money. Being a Christian alone cannot put food on your table any one who believes that is only being ignorant, the Bible book of 2 Thessalonians 3:1 will give you more insight about the topic of the Op but saying that Jesus Christ became poor that you might be rich doesn't mean he expects you to fold your arms and expect money to come to your that's crazy.

I side with you mate, Christian's now adays don't know that been a Christian doesn't guarantee you to be rich all of a sudden because even the Bible make us to understand that after given your life to Christ you still have more challenges ahead and the worst challenge man/woman may face is poverty, when you are poor, you will face a lot of challenges like insult, humiliation, oppression and all the rest but after all this things then enjoyments ahead.
Sometimes we go through suffering to strengthen our faith in Christ Jesus so when the time of havest comes we will not depart from Christ.

Even though He was wealthy, according to the Bible, Jesus "became poor for your sakes, that you might become rich through His poverty" (2 Corinthians 8:9). As a result of Christ's poverty, faithful Christians will receive a wealth of spiritual rewards. It does not necessarily follow that Christians will enjoy material wealth in this day and age.

Every Christian has a duty to prioritize God's will over all else in their lives, regardless of wealth or poverty in this world.Riches is part of God's blessing and we can only get this things when we work for them in life but sitting down and waiting for God to bring all this things may not be possible.

If we worked for our soul and body, we don't know what the work was, or how we did it. So, yes. We can work for some things in life, and get them through work. But the best and most important things were given to us by God... and our parents... even though the parents didn't know the operations of the physics that brought their children into being.

Mark 4: 26-29:
26He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. 27Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. 28All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. 29As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”

So we see that we work right along with the things that God set in place. We gain through our work. But the most important things have been made by God. Without God and what He made, there would be no working and gaining on our part.

Note that the unbelievers are using the things of God in the work that they do, just like the Christians are. Unbelievers simply don't understand where their ability to work successfully comes from. However, Christians who focus on the idea of God bringing them wealth, without doing anything for it, are going to remain poor (except by accident or inheritance). Consider Luke 16:8:
And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

Riches doesn't select religion, every religion in the world has rich and poor people. those that are rich are those practicing the nature law of wealth creation.

be you Christ lie, and you don't have any services you're offering to the world you be poor and still be performing miracles. our lord Jesus never supported lazy Christian, he said he will bless the work of our hands. as Christian we must be rich if only we work and allow God to favour us in our works.
I don't know why some people thinks being rich  is not good for christians. I am not a Christian but I know The Bible and i know the story of the old Christians like Abraham, Isaac ,Jacob,  Joseph, and David ,even Solomon . all this men were very wealthy during their days , I don't know why some of the people we have in this generation are seeing wealth as something that has nothing to do with Christianity.  Riches is part of God's blessing and we can only get this things when we work for them in life but sitting down and waiting for God to bring all this things may not be possible.

Matthew 19:23-26:
23Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

25When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”

26Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
So, why tempt things by trying to get rich?

The saying of Agur in Proverbs, Proverbs 30:7-9:
7“Two things I ask of you, Lord;
do not refuse me before I die:
8Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.
9Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.

The point is, ask for wealth, and work to get it, but remain within God's will and faith at the same time.

After the Pentecost, the new Christian Church people gave their wealth to the Apostles. When the wealth and the management of it grew large, the Apostles turned it all over in trust to the Seven. The Apostles continued in prayer and the ministry of the Word. They understood where true riches lie.

At the same time, God doesn't want you living in poverty. Saint Paul says in 1 Corinthians 7:21:
Were you a slave when you were called? Don’t let it trouble you—although if you can gain your freedom, do so.

It's a balance thing, with the idea of keeping your eyes on true wealth; Matthew 6:20:
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

^^^ Terms like 'scriptural' and 'spiritual' are very vague. God isn't some kind of mystical being in the sky. He's a 'Guy' who is looking for a relationship with people. And He is extremely happy when people really try to find/make such a relationship with Him. Such a relationship comes about through the Holy Spirit working the desires of Jesus and the Father in the whole world. It comes about more and more for you and me when we request it by being obedient to Jesus Christ.

Aside from having the knowledge of the scripture or being highly spiritual,  it still balls down to what the individuals engage their time in,  because even though you are highly scripted and spiritual but without application of what really generates income and making someone rich will still amount to poverty.

The problem with most religious forks is that there tend to use scriptures and prayers to sort everything and this have limited their chances of taking risks.

^^^ We need to think about this and find a balance.

Jesus recognized hard work. He did hard work. Dying on the cross, thereby receiving the punishment for ALL the sins of ALL people for ALL time ("My God, My God! Why have you forsaken me?!") wasn't an easy task. Nobody can work hard enough to save himself/herself. It is a free gift from God, through and because of Jesus.

Definitely work for wealth, whichever kind you want. But remember this, Colossians 2:3, "... in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." So, look to Him in everything, both for the wisdom and knowledge, and also for the strength to do what you can't do alone... which essentially is anything, because you use the physics of God's universe (including Jesus-power) to do everything you do.

Wealth no not Religion be you Christ like or Muslim, if your are not giving services or applying natural law, ypu will be poor till you die. Christ said he will bless the work of thy hands, meaning that you must have something doing for your blessing to come, you don't have to go church everyday for God to make you rich, blessings of they Lord is for all humans, so Christians should not feel special and wait on God for everything.

If you want to be Rich you must, be really to serve the world, by rending services or your talent, you must do something to hold something. there's no free manner again, Jesus recognised hard work.

^^^ And...
5. How many miracles do you do?

Note that Jesus's disciples - the Twelve - did a bunch of miracles. But were they as many as Jesus, Himself, did?

Jesus said wording to the effect of, "If you have faith, you can move mountains and trees, and nothing will be impossible for you." He, also, said wording to the effect of, "Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God (physics of the universe)." Jesus also says, "Ask and it will be given to you..." and the words that follow it, starting Matthew 7:7. Scripture also says, "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of Christ."

Put these things together and realize that if you can't do it, it's because you don't have faith. If you don't have faith, it's because you aren't into ALL of the Bible the right way. And the right way is by understanding that God exists right along with His universe physics, and that He has given authority over everything to Christ.  And then by not understanding that Christ has given you authority to receive everything you ask for.

Are you really sure you want riches? If you do, ask for them with the above understanding. But when you get them, and the trouble that comes along with them, REMAIN FOCUSED ON JESUS, so that you can ask and receive the way out of the misery that wealth might bring. (Realize that the worst misery that wealth can bring is dependence on it... and loss of salvation thereby.)

There are many places in the world where wild fruit grows, and that have a good climate so that you don't need much clothing or shelter. Do you have enough faith to get Jesus and His God-authority to take you there when you are starving? But what else do you need riches for?, except to build yourself up in pride.

1. How many houses had Christ?
2. How many Oxes had Christ?
3. How many Wives had Christ?
4. How many Children had Christ.
It was that same Christ that told the rich to sell all he has and donate to the poor?
You see that you shouldn't just interpret the scripture literally. Chirst said, "Use your hands in working, don't be lazy because lazy people are the enemies of God"
If you want to be rich, work for it.

When you live in a miracle for years and years, you forget that it is a miracle. Try making a grain of sand out of nothing. Try growing another set of arms from the sides of your torso, or re-growing one you lost.

So far we are barely finding out how to use the miracles of the universe. We don't really have any start of an idea about how to make a miracle happen. Only God knows that.

Even Satan, when he invented destruction, was only using the things of the universe to make destruction happen. Try Revelation 9:11 - https://biblehub.com/revelation/9-11.htm.

If we so study the word very well, we will also discover that many things have been given and supplied to us through it to make wealth as for those always seeking for means to make riches but couldn't arrived on any, everyone has his own time and season, it's always good to wait on ones appointed time to manifest, we can also get ourselves busy doing something qualitative enough to keep us positioned to this time prior it arrival, an idle man is a devil's advocate and workshop.

I would say you should read the book titled "The Richest Man in Babylon." Then you will understand what is meant by the quote below.

Quote
Money is plentiful for those who understand. the simple laws that govern its acquisition.

Some so-called Christians are becoming lazy day after day, all in the name of having faith in God to make them rich, but they have forgotten that God cannot come down from heaven to help them. From what I understand of the teachings of the Bible, Christians are supposed to work hard to make wealth, while God will shower blessings on the work they are doing, and they will experience an abundance of success.

If you read Proverbs 24:33-34 King James Version (KJV) then you will understand something. It says
"Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth."

From that perspective, I understand that if a Christian folds his arms and sleeps every time without doing anything that can get them money, then they will not really become rich, and poverty will settle in. The fact is that some people only have faith that God will provide, but I bet things don't work that way. We Christians must know that our God is a practical God. He commands us to do something, and we shall see good results if we do those things, but when we do nothing, there shall be no results.

If you read Ecclesiastes 11:6 New International Version (NIV), which reads,
"Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well."

If I understand this part of the Bible very well, it says that we should try many things that can earn us a living. It further means that we should not just rely on one thing; we should try other things because we don't know which one will make us successful. and my question is: Are many Christians practicing it?

The laws of economics say that we should diversify our investments so that if one fails, we still have the other to back us up. Then there is also this popular phrase that says, "Never put all your eggs in one basket." While some Christians are very ignorant, they will carry all their eggs in one basket, hoping that God will come down from heaven to hold the basket when it wants to scatter.

if we still read Ecclesiastes 11:4 Amplified Bible (AMP), it says,
"He who watches the wind [waiting for all conditions to be perfect] will not sow [seed], and he who looks at the clouds will not reap [a harvest]."

Some people don't read the most practical pages of the Bible, yet they are Christians, and they just hope and believe in miracles; faith doesn't work like that. Faith works for those who work for it.

^^^ Sometimes it is difficult getting an understanding of the things Jesus really meant.

Jesus said that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into Heaven. Which should a person want? Earthly riches that last for a hundred years (maybe)? Or Heavenly riches that last forever?

However, Jesus also said to His disciples when they asked what they were going to get, that everybody who left their earthly 'riches' to follow Him, would receive a hundred times the former earthly things they had in this life, along with persecutions, and in the end eternal life.

What happened to the disciples who left everything for Jesus? At the Pentecost, they received the Spirit of God in a powerful way. Then, after the Pentecost they received all kinds of wealth from the thousands of people who converted to Christianity in Jerusalem. Read "The Acts of the Apostles" in the Bible to see this.

We aren't told exactly, but it seems that the Twelve disciples forgot about serving a little. They appointed 'the seven' to oversee the distribution of food and clothing among the members of the first church in Jerusalem. If you read between the lines in Acts, it seems that the seven (even though Stephen was stoned) received at least as much power from God (for a time) as the disciples had. Why? Jesus showed the disciples the way of the servant when He washed the disciples' feet. And servants were what the seven became.

Think about it.

The point is, if you are a Christian, then you are not poor, even if you are a slave.

If you are a Spirit-filled Christian, you are richer,  yet.

If you are a Word of God filled Christian, your wealth is not only Christian wealth, but also every form of wealth you want or need, if you remember and use one thing... “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God,’” - Matthew 4:4 - https://biblehub.com/matthew/4-4.htm.

If you remember that one thing, and fill yourself on God's Word (the Bible), you will be able to use all the promises/words of God to build (let God build) all the wealth for yourself that you want.

BUT... as Jesus says, "It is harder for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle." So, focus on where your wealth truly is, and don't let earthly wealth drag you away from true riches, even when you get the earthly wealth.

Rather, use earthly wealth to make friends of earthly people, thereby causing them to be saved through your friendly 'preaching', so that when your earthly wealth is gone, they will welcome you into everlasting dwellings.

The problem most Christians are having today they believe Jesus Christ will come from heaven and give them everything they want which is very wrong and how can never happen. People are not doing the right thing, God has blessed man and has given man everything man needs on Earth so it is left for man to think of what to do that will bring money, God cannot bring money from heaven to give man. Things we are asking from God God has already provided them. I think we need to go back to the government for them to do the needful we have nothing to blame God for.

The issue of wealth and its relationship to Christianity is a complex and often misunderstood topic within the context of the church. It is not simply a matter of holding a position that being Christian automatically guarantees riches. Instead, it involves cultivating a particular mindset, developing right habits, and being open to recognizing and seizing opportunities when they arise.

I don't understand if this is a legitimate question but as per observation, you're right. But having status in society won't really matter if you're a Christian or any other. It depends on the living of these people and what if the ones that you've seen were just starting their lives to get up but it's not yet visible because they're not showy? There are non religious people that have the same living so, it doesn't mean that because they don't believe in anything, that makes their life struggling.

^^^ Money is an invention of man, not of God. To make money, learn the way that money works, and you will see how to get it. But, don't do wrong or harm people in  your getting of money.

Try to make something without having anything to start with. Make a brick without having any natural materials at all to start with. Or, make a drop of water from nothing. We can't do this. Only God can.

If a person loses an arm in a car accident, and it is so mangled that the doctors can't replace it, where will he get another am to replace it? If he gets a mechanical arm and hand, it will never be as good as the first one. He can spend a billion dollars and still not get an arm that is as good as the first one.

How much did he pay for that first arm, the original, natural one? Nothing! Sure, he might have exercised it and made it strong, but it cost him nothing... and it was the best one.

We get our whole body, mind and spirit for free. We get it for free, from God, because that's the way He set things up. We get access to this whole world that God made, for free through our bodies that God gave us for free.

We need to understand what wealth really is, and where it comes from. If we didn't have the free wealth-things from God, there is no way we could ever have a shot at getting money.

If a person believes in God, He is believing in Jesus with or without knowing it. If he believes that Jesus isn't God with the Father and the Holy Spirit, he is believing in an idol as though it were God. No two ways about it.

Take your pick. Either a believer in God is a Christian and knows it, or he is a Christian and doesn't realize that he is, or he is an idol worshiper but not a God worshiper.

So can someone believe in an idol as God, but not believe that idol is Jesus? Why not call that idol a God and just classify that person a a "God" worshiper?

One of the religious dichotomies that I've always questioned is how the monotheistic religions can reconcile many billions of believing in a different god than their own, and being as sure of that belief as themselves. I suppose with polytheism there's a bit more room for congruence than some other religions.

As a Christian, you would need to accept that the billions of Muslims are incorrect in their beliefs and worshipping a deity that's nonexistent, surely.

People can think that an idol is God, and they can believe it. But we all know that we have believed things that we were mistaken about... just as an idol believer is mistaken to think that the idol is God. Why call an idol God when it is a mistake?

Our believing of something isn't strong enough to make it real. Only reality is what is real. If our religion believes what is real, then it is religion that recognizes God and Who He is. If people are tolerant of other people who have different religions, there is reason for it. The Christian reason - although many Christians don't understand this - is so that there can be enough peace among people that as many as possible can come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved.

Are there billions of Muslims? Just as many so-called Christians don't believe in Jesus-salvation, even so most Muslims barely understand Islam enough to really know what they are part of. However, if they don't believe that Jesus is NOT God, but simply never had the question presented to them, and believe in God as God, their salvation is in the hands of the Holy Spirit. We can't judge the heart. They might be believing in Jesus as God without realizing it (big idea here, with lots of cross-thinking among scholars and Christian scholars).

It is better by far that people understand that Jesus is God - One God made up of 3 Persons Who are Each fully God, yet only One altogether. A close way to understanding this is to look a corporation that has board members. Each member is fully acting for and as the corporation when he does his assigned work in the corporation. He IS the corporation regarding what he does... provided he doesn't break the corporate rules.

The points you listed are not coherent. Not a single wealthy person makes their riches from being religious. You have to work for every single penny you make because Jesus himself will not come down to drop money into pocket

Everyone has their own way of being religious and their understanding of how to practice their religious rituals. There is no specific model that all followers of a particular religion must follow, especially with regard to beliefs, since they participate in the application of worship, such as visiting the church for Christians or praying five times a day for Muslims.

OP represents one of those differences that are normal to have between one Christian and another. As evidence of this, not all Christians share the same point of view with him. And he thinks, according to his belief, that all Christians should be rich, since Christ sacrificed his wealth in order to achieve this, without taking into account the objective circumstances and personal choices of each Christian, which are the real responsibility for being poor and not for a defect in Christianity or because they are not religious enough to become wealthy.

With this belief, it leads us to conclude that any poor person is not a believer in Christ, and this is the reason for his poverty, because every Christian believer must be rich. Or that there are actually errors in the beliefs that he believes in.

Believers are Christians because they Believe in God, because Jesus Christ is God along with His Father and the Holy Spirit.

Formal religions are simply people coming together to clarify what they believe about God and how His Word applies to their life. They also form religions to strengthen each other in times of trials and troubles. Even religions that don't believe in God are there so that the people learn how to live together better.

Faith without works is dead as James says. But that is true in everything in life. People don't do things when they don't believe that there will be a result. But when they believe something, they automatically do what they believe.

Romans 14:23:
But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin. [my emphasis]

While it is true that some people partake of a religion, yet don't believe, most people believe in the things of their religion. If their religion is a Christian religion, they believe in Jesus Christ. Some of the things they believe about Jesus are probably incorrect, but other things are correct. Nobody knows everything about Jesus accurately.

Cool

I think not every believer is a Christian like you think, because the Muslims belive in God which they call Allah but are not Christians, even the traditionalist believe their is a supreme being  which is the maker of the heaven and earth they glorify him before saying their incantations and liabate to their gods but yet they ain't Christians, yes Christianity is a belief but the word Christian means Christ like, they pray believing in God through Jesus christ as well, so all  religion believe in God but not all religions are Christians

So we are talking two different things. A person can believe that the asteroid belt exists between Mars and Jupiter. He can believe it because some scientists said it exists, not because he has ever seen it through a telescope. He is a believer, but I thought we were talking about believers in God.

James says a kind of interesting thing in the Bible, James 2:19:
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

Your prayer to God through Jesus is never in vain. God hears all prayers, and answers them all according to the faith of the individual person who is praying. He also answers according to His love.

When Jesus fed the 5000, and later the 4000, He didn't start with nothing. Rather, He started with a small amount of bread and fish, and multiplied it to feed the whole groups. Why did He start with something rather than start from noting? He could have started with nothing; He is that powerful.

He did it because of the weak faith of both the disciples and also the people. Starting with something built their faith, because they could see that there was something there... rather than simply popping the bread and fish into existence with nothing to start with at all.

After all, if you want a new car, is your faith strong enough to simply pop it into existence in your driveway? Probably not. But if you work for it - get the money and pay for it - your faith is strong enough to do it this way. You have done it before, or you have seen other people do it, so you have faith that you can do it, too.

Cool
You have to had belive in God before you even thought of praying to him for your prayers to be answered, what i was was trying to say Is that there are many Christians but view believers
Then talking about faith, yes as a believe you ought to have faith but then faith without work is dead according to the Holy book in James 2:17-26.

The major issue here is not about religion, Christianity is not a religion rather it is a believe and most people claim they are Christians but yet they don't belive in God,he's already created us in his own image and gave us power to rule over things of the earth, but then if you don't pray to him through christ and believe in him them your prayers is in vain.

Be whatsoever in christ, if you have service that you're render to the society to get paid, you be poor and die poor too, christ has given us all the principles in his kingdom to be rich, and only those who obey and follow it will be Rich. riches come from hard work, don't BE deceived by fake pastors that will tell you to hope on God while they are collecting our offerings. we must stop being lazy Christians, the richest people in the world today are not Christians, you know why? we depend on God for everything. we must start to be business minder and make the earth enjoyable.

Another way to look at it.

First, no matter the amount of wealth or property owned, we seem to lose it all when we die. Also, Jesus mentioned that it is difficult for a wealthy person to make it to Heaven. However, earthly wealth can have a benefit to a sincere believer.

Consider what God the Father, and His Son did for us. The Father gave up His beloved Son to pain and death so that we could be saved. In other words, wealth in the eyes of the Father and His son was and is you, and me, and everybody.

When are we going to become like our heavenly Father by looking for the real wealth like He and His Son are doing?  When are we going to make earthly wealth secondary, like it really is, and look for true wealth? God wanted the wealth of human souls so much, that He literally died through His Son Jesus just to get His wealth... us. We are God's wealth. He gave up everything for us.

How powerful is God? In Heaven, what will God do for those people who 'helped' with the saving of souls by bringing people to Jesus? In one place in the Bible it says, that those who bring many to salvation will "shine like the stars for ever and ever." Every soul you help to be saved is like money in the Bank of Heaven, that will earn compounded interest for you forever and ever. It's like God loving you, for giving Him the wealth He died for... patting you on the back in great friendship forever and ever. And the people you helped to save will love you for the salvation you brought to them, forever and ever.

You aren't poor. If you believe in Jesus salvation, God will thank you for coming to Him, forever, in Heaven. Then, if you use worldly wealth to bring people to Him, He will thank you forever for each of them. Now that you see what true wealth is, get to work, and make yourself wealthy. God will help you do it.

I want to start by saying that Christianity is not magic or ritualism where you get rich quick because you're christ like without putting any effort or working hard to get paid, alot of people think that way without knowing that's not how Christianity works, even as a Christian you still need to carry out human efforts, labour while praying for God to bless the fruit of your labour.

Also while praying as well you need to have faith in God for your prayers to be answered, many people call them selves Christians but barely believe in God, if you don't believe and have faith in God then there no way he'll answer your prayers, there's a portion the Bible (James 2:17-26) that says faith without work is dead, so in as much as you belive in God and have faith in your prayers to him you need to have a handwork so he'll bless the fruit of your labour like I stated earlier.

God is not just going to desend and bring money for you, yeah he can bless you through people around you or send a helper but then let's say in a situation when there's nobody privileged around to help, you need your effort for him to bless you with, that's why a lot of Christians are still poor because they're still praying for God's help without showing effort or labouring to survive.

Simply what I'm trying to say Is that in other to leave that stage of poverty, you need to start putting more effort to work, alot of people have more power than wisdom or more wisdom than power, now wisdom comes form the word of God while power comes from prayers, most Christians pray but don't read the word of God while some read the words but are not prayerful, so in other to make a change they need power and wisdom, that means you need to read the word of God and understand as well as being prayerful, they go hand in hand.

Another thing is that some people don't ask, some Christians feel that God knows everything, he knows even before you ask  but then, God wants you to ask, he wants to know that you actually need what you're asking for and you actually need his help as well, he mentioned that in (Matthew 7:7).

You are a Christian and does that mean that you are not going to hustle? We need to know what we want and how to get it not to be deceiving ourselves to be rich in Christ when you are not ready to work and earn money to feed yourself and family. This is really and we need to do things right or you will end up becoming more poor to the extend of not able to feed again.

^^^ Right!

When Jesus says, "Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God," He is showing us that the universe operates by laws, the laws of physics. Make the laws work for yourself, and you will receive the things you desire. But always make God your focus in everything you do.

Being a Christian doesn't make you rich or poor. God Almighty has made everything available for us to make use of, the only way we can make use of them is to apply our wisdom to them to bring out a fortune from what He has made available for us to utilize for survival.

God says that I will bless the works of your hands, and the only way He will do that is for you to engage in something but, unfortunately, religion has blinded so many people to believe that their daily bread will fall from heaven without working just because they are Christian.

Remember, Christianity is not the only religion on this earth. There are so many other religions that people have their beliefs in. If you check those people who are not Christian, you will find out that they are doing well on their side without their religion bringing wealth to them.

Having said that, religion doesn't bring riches or poverty to anyone. It's your engagement towards the work of life that will seek your breakthrough in life.

Are you serving God to make you just financially rich? If that is just your reason, you do not need to be a Christian to be rich, Christianity is not a criteria for financial riches.

why are christian still poor, when the bible says christ was rich and for our sake he was made poor that we should be

God pays well, and especially if one does it from his heart.

Matthew 19:27-30:
27Peter answered him, “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?”

28Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. 30But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

Luke 18:28-30:
28Peter said to him, “We have left all we had to follow you!”

29“Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God 30will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to come eternal life.”

If you’re a Christian who considers yourself Christ-like then wouldn’t it make sense for you to be poor? Just a tongue in cheek response I know, but not everyone values their life by the amount of wealth they are able to obtain. Especially in the church, where many people’s goal is to help others, not enrich themselves.

This is right in the Christian fold. A true believer of Christ wants to live like Christ like being meek and not commit all atrocities that politicians commit and embezzle common wealth and store for their families. A Christian wants to meet up with God in heaven and so they always concern themselves with salvation and not greed for money. Like the bible said the love of money is the route of evil. Riches come from God so if it comes to a Christian that will be fine and if it doesn't, fine also is the life of a true Christian.

 I think to be christian, you have to be Christ-like. Although because of your English, your point is being misunderstood but if I get you clearly, you are trying to say that it's expedient that believers are also supposed to be rich since our Heavenly Father is the owner of the universe, yeah? I got you. But let me clear you on some things;

1. Being a Christian is not just a status, it's a lifestyle. You can't claim to be living a Christlike life but people around you can't say same.
2. Being a Christian doesn't automatically make you a spirit. You are a human and hence you must work to earn a living.

You can't just because of your status as a Christian expect things to fall on your lap without working for it, bruh. Even Christ, while on Earth was a carpenter. Even though he had the power to live comfortably, he still chose to earn his living. So? Who then are you emulating if you sit idle and expect manna to fall from heaven?

Heaven helps those who help themselves, if you think that because you are a Christian, everything will work out to your favour, without you putting things in order. Laziness in most cases can lead someone to live in poverty. Our characters are also another problem to is keeping one in a very low level of living, you are a Christian and you don't practice the ways of God,you see everyone as sinners and you are the holiest because of that you allow your ego to take over you and you think Christ will be able with you.

As a good and devoted Christian, you need to have a job or a skill which brings income for you and God will always flourish the work of your hands. You might not be too rich but you will never lack anything as God will always provide for you through your means of income.

Christ became poor for us to be rich,he sacrificed for us and gave us some kingdom principles that will should apply if we want to be rich as Christians, but most people don't wanna be patients and make sacrifices, they just wanna be enjoying, it's doesn't work that way, they're natural principles to prosper, you don't have to be Christian, just work with the principle and see how your life will be transformed.
Hence, we must not depend on the promising of God, but on his commands and principles of the kingdom

Many people believe for the fact that they are christ followers they don't need to bother themselves to struggle much,  christ will give them all they want. I have come across people who are supposed to work to earn money but instead they just pray and ask God to give them money. Life does not work This way, even the bible talks about works written in  several parts, God does not give money from above without work. You must work first and he will bless the work of your hands, praying without work is laziness.

For me the problem is that you lump together all types of Christianity and all types of people who are in some way Christian, while some are active believers, while others are by family upbringing but are not very active.

In The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism, Max Weber showed, or at least tried to show how Protestantism played an essential role in the development of capitalism because for Protestants doing well in business in this life was a sign that they would do well in the next. Meanwhile, Catholics were more concerned with suffering in this life, because God would reward them in the next for all that suffering. This is put in a crude and very summarised way, but it serves to give you an idea.

So, you cannot talk about Christians and say that they are all poor because that is a generalisation that has nothing to do with reality. Among Christians there are very different economic situations today, which are not determined by their Christianity, and in any case if they are Protestants, they are more likely to do well economically.

You expect Christ to send money for you from the sky. You want to be in your house and angels will knock on your door and give you a briefcase filled with dollars or maybe send some Bitcoin to your wallet. If you like have knowledge of the entire Bible, if you are so lazy or uninformed to work hard and smart, you will remain poor. Some religious people are lazy because they believe that God will do everything for them, so they just relax and wait on God.

I feel pained when I see people gathering in churches on Monday mornings, clapping, singing, and praying to God to give them riches. Instead of them going out and looking for how to earn a living no matter how small, the prefer to wait on God to provide all their needs. I know many people that don't belong to any religious creed but they are very rich because they practice the principles of wealth.

OP you also need to know that Christ never promised that every Christian will be materially or financially based on world standards. If you can provide all your needs, you are rich. We also should note that Jesus promised us wealth but not on earth. Don't forget that he is preparing a place for us in heaven where the streets are made of gold.

Let me answer. The answer won't be complete, because the knowledge of mankind isn't complete. But first, doesn't your browser have a spellchecker?

When Jesus was being tempted in the wilderness after not eating for 40 days and nights, the Tempter (Satan) came to Him and said, "If you are the Son of God, command that these stones be made into bread." Jesus answered, "Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God."

What words have come out of the mouth of God? Consider creation... the 6 days that God spoke everything into being. God made the physics of the universe. Nobody - not even scientists - know all the physics that God spoke into the universe. In fact, Jesus is the only man Who knows all the physics of God, because, "In Him are found all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."

This is the same Jesus Who said, "Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God." So, to start with, we need to recognize that all of our health and miracle-doing have to do with "every word that comes out of the mouth of God." In other words, the universe is a unit, one unit, and whatever happens anywhere affects everything everywhere.

More directly speaking, speaking to your points, when is it that you are contradicting the things that you ask for, and the healthfullness that you want to have, simply by being ignorant of how things work, but also by wanting things that are against God and the physics of the universe? Ephesians 4:10:
He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.
So, maybe you don't have the great faith in Jesus that you think you have.

This is a simple answer, and really, just a start. There is so much more, that a book could be written. Rather, fill yourself on the book that has been written, the Bible... especially the New Testament. Find out if you really have the faith that you think you have, because, "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes by the word of Christ." Really fill yourself, all the time, throughout the day... every day.

Yes in deed as a christian, christ like and christ followers and we are surposed to have every things in as a redemmed child of God,as bible said.so my question is that why are christian still poor, when the bible says christ was rich and for our sake he was made poor that we should be rich, then why are there still poor christians,to the exstent of cross carpeting to muslims.i think we the so call christians are the problem,1 the knowledge of the scripture is not there that is why they know not how to enter the city.
in deed further more churches now are days are not preaching and teaching the people their right in christ so many people don't know their place in christ and if you lack this knowledge you have lost your place and given it to inorance.
