Hello, I've been approached by a FOREX trader and Bitcoin Miner on Instagram. They've told me to setup an account on a website www.aquilaoption.com. I've invested a sum and they are asking for more to invest in. No trading activities has been done, but with a lack of a phone call to discuss this and continuing to dodge the idea of a phone call, I feel as though I am in a scam. But I want to get this SOB, can anyone on here validate the website with past experiences or if it is real? I am new to this and wanted to invest my hard earned money, but I feel as though I will never get it back again and feel really stupid.  Embarrassed
High yield investments are not always looking scam from the beginning but at the end or in the middle it always ends in those ways. The story and the mode of investments you have shared look like a scam to me and I have experienced several of this type of tricks before. You will keep investing until you will not hear anything from them again. I could vividly remember how I invest in a trading system and I put then $300. The following days after making this invest I was told that "I will not make any profits unless I increased my capital to $500"! That is when my eyes clear and I became aware that I am investing in scam projects.

its always is a scam when its too good to be true. you do believe things when you haven't learned a lesson so it comes with a price to see how things are going. it doesn't matter now whether you have the name Brandon James and his email there, he already got the money and you may not get even after all that which is the sad part.  you can only be grateful that he only got that amount from you.

OP has learned his lesson now, he maybe got tempted with the fast and good return but fail to do some research that he has invested in ponzi scheme.
That's what they do, they lure potential investors of return and there's a lot of them here in the space, we should be aware of that.

Even he is lucky his account and email have not been tampered with. This is the problem with some of these sites that advertise some business, they are not truthful, they present good prospect of profit but at the end run away with investors money.

Yes you are in a scam. There are enough reasons in the above screenshot to say that the website is not at all genuine.
This is not a professional company as the whois lookup displays the info about the website. It's going to expire soon which also means it's going to run away with your money soon.
Also, their 'Vision' is definitely not good. It's obvious that it's not a professional company and rather a scammer.

Maybe you have been scamed. But you need to check all the history, and make sure that the money is not on your account anymore. If there are nothing left on your account, you should report this website to everyone to beware from this scammer. But if the money is still in your account, you should withdraw it to your personal wallet, and take time learning how to invest in a good project for better profit. Dont trust anywho that just telling you to invest or showing their profit, trust who help you on knowledge even you dont have any money.

By the way, if you want to invest in Forex, please use the prestigious forex site to invest in, and you wont lost your money.

they just aprroach you but you didnt know them ? So why would easily beleive on them? Its already your fault because you easily fall for strangers  . its already an obvious scam once they will introduce their selves as a pro trader/miner and ask you for a cash or if they will refer you to some sites  .

I just visit the site and it looks professional , cant be mistaken as a scam but their rates are quite promising  and can be easily questioned with  .

There is no way a FOREX trader or a bitcoin miner will approach anyone to offer something at any platforms especially in Instagram where crypto is not even hyped on that platform.

No need for site validation especially when they told you to invest more.

You fall on the trap. You became blinded by their words. Hope this should serve as a lesson to you. Another victim of an obvious scheme. Feel sorry for the loss.

Reading on their FAQ, they even claimed that the service is HYIP.

Why you just put money easily without undergoing research. This is not considered as newbie problems for me because newbies knows the difference between right and wrong even how greed they are. Most newbies also knows that they need to check first the site before investing money. In your case, you just throw it away without hesitation. You won't see your money again.

You have to accept this bad experienced and hope you are now vigilant at any offer you will encounter because of this.

Please don't get into any cloud mining investment or this kind of trading share profit kind of websites who promises they can give money for you on your investment basis.
However I feel I have clarified your doubt this forum. Always ask if you find anything seems doubtful while going to invest.

It's a painful experience, but yes you have been scammed and I'm 100% sure of it because the site that you invested your money is HYIP or Ponzi Scheme, now you know that you will need to ask here if any site is worth investing, or better do not invest in HYIP or Ponzi scheme, just buy a good coins here.

When you see 100% after X days or 200% and so on then you can already put a period that you are already facing up on a scam. You do already invested? Then treat those money that had lost forever yet you wont able to take it back.Typical mistake of anyone that who do believe on easy money that's why they do end up on these schemes due to greed.
Don't expect and just move on to that loss.

For the sake of those who will be reading, one thing that everybody have agreed on is that Op has been scammed and the moment a scammer have gotten the attention of his victim, the next is to make attempt on how to get more from him and that is exactly what is happening to Op. It would be more disastrous if he is being blinded by greed and follow their advise of investing more in a nonexisting trading company expecting a return that would never come...

The website seems to be completely new. Only one matching result when you google aquilaoption. High chance is website is a scam. Why would a random FOREX trader and Bitcoin Miner approach you and tell you to invest on a random website? Because they want to scam you your money. 100% return in 30 days? Man, that offer is too good to be true. Like Omega said, this is a ponzie scheme. Don't invest anymore. Try getting back your money (highly unlikely to get it). If you fail, just leave it.

The answer is pretty obvious I guess this is the first time that you got scam because you did not do what is the right thing to do and that is doing due diligence, obviously if it's too good to be true it's a warning sign, you should have posted it here first before investing.

There is no need to continue the discussion further. OP already knows what happens to him and hopefully, he can learn a lesson from it. Anyone should realize by now that having a 100% return in 30 days from an unknown website is a scam, ponzi, or whatever it is. In short: don't believe and use your hard-earned money wisely.

Obviously, you've been scammed, the site is new there are no traffic data on Alexa, you should first post and ask the community for verification first before investing, and it's a Ponzi scheme, the community is against investing in  Ponzi scheme, because they will eventually shut down and run away after getting sizeable amount of money.

Cannot determine that what you are experiencing is something that makes you doubt and feels that lies will occur. I myself do not and do not know www.aquilaoption.com and it is not wise to determine it. I only analyze from your story, it seems that you yourself are also doubtful. you better invest in bitcoin and ethereum which can be ascertained.

Thank you for everyone's reply. It makes me feel a little bit better to get your input on the subject. I didn't invest a lot, but enough to be pissed off about it.

Now how do I report this so that nobody else gets duped into this.. I feel so stupid. The graphics and everything on the website just oozed slime ball as I was entrusting this woman who is refusing to have a phone call or face-to-face meeting.

I really started to question when he or she or whoever I'm talking to came on to me.... That's when I reached out to my financial institution and came on here.

Can't thank you guys enough for your input. Made me more angry to get these SOB's though....  Angry

You can contact your country's SEC to report such fraud company.

Its a good thing that you asked in this forum and learned  your next move .  Truly, HYIP is tempting since the promised profit is too huge in a short span of time but the problem is often times this ponzi scheme collapse even before you get your ROI.

I have lots of experience regarding this kind of system since lots of my friend had been a victim of this kind of investment scheme, not saying I also invested in this kind of scheme and the result, I lost 50% of my capital investment since the company shutdown and owner were no where to find.

Even in their FAQ they refer to themselves as a 'HYIP', high-yield investment program, literally a ponzi scheme. Some of them even just take the money without paying its early members.

The site claims to accept fiat deposits, i.e. payoneer, advcash, etc. in addition to cryptocurrencies, if you paid in fiat money, see if you can make chargeback and report them for fraud, as it doesn't seem the website adequately informs what the user is 'investing' in.

The sad truth is that you got scammed. Probably some "wizard" will approach you next saying how he can help you take revenge, and if you trust him too you will get scammed again.

It wouldn't make any difference if you actually talked to someone of these guys on a phone. Phone scams are on the rise.
I'm advising everyone to watch kitboga's twitch. He is baiting scammers on phone, live everyday. You will have a good time and learn a lot of their tactics.

Internet marketer here. If there's anything you're going to get from Instagram direct messages, it's either scams, or simply spam; and 99% of the time, they're going to be from spam bots. If you have a successful trading platform, chances are, they would advertise their service like how most legitimate businesses do: via Facebook/Google/Instagram ads. Not through DM spams.

Not to mention that the information on their website's landing page is shady. Hopefully you didn't give them that much money.

This HYIP Ponzi scheme is a scam that you must avoid at any cost. These websites ruin the overall reputation of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and to be honest it is a real shame. I also find it quite ironic that websites such as these can get HTTPS-secured so easily. Do not trust - just look at the resolution of their logo on their website. SCAM ALERT
