Pretty much any router that has a higher processing speed and memory. Read product reviews at newegg and amazon and base your decision off of that.

Generally, a more expensive one is better. Just try to find a deal.

so i need to look for one that has faster numbers for anything other than wifi speed

it does get quite warm so i will cool it also
cheers

Hi
Today my Netgear Model: DGN2200 Wireless Router Acted strange!

I have 3 Rigs each with 4 r9 290's running at 60 odd mb/s, a couple of pc's one downloading at 200kb/s, a ps3 and a couple of smart phones all using this router, the rigs,ps3 and pc's are connected with wires. phones are wireless

now today the signal to all the wired stuff went down but the phones still worked and the light's on the routed remained normal!
i had to reboot router to get the wired signal back

So am I overloading the router ?

cheers

The most likely thing would be some kind of p2p filesharing program overloading the iptables in the router until they timeout. If you find that to be the case, limit your connections on that program, or get a better router, otherwise, the above poster had the right idea with troubleshooting things one at a time. If the phones use separate jacks on the router just for them, the problem might not present itself in those devices depending on your router hardware.

Hope that helps.

 thanks again

the phones are mobile so wireless

so yeah file share could be it "limit connections" I think i have loads open ill shut some off   in or out or both ?

so if a better router was required what specs would have to be better ?

Unless there is something wrong (virus, etc.) I would say you are safe.  Mining actually takes up very little b/w.  It's a good idea to reboot a router every now and then.  if the problem persists I would troubleshoot by turning off one device at a time until you find the culprit.

Thanks
So something would cause this rather than the router failing due to age or whatever ?
