—If not, is this allowed?

Made some changes on my PC and saw that.  It was just white before.

That is allowed but its better if it stays in white just to be sure. To some users it may cause annoyance and they may report you due to senseless reasons. Hope this helps

It's quite useful. It shows it's a spammy thread, and it's not worth reading. Smiley
Well, that's quite a good point IMO. Because most of the email spams that I received are using this kind of flashy icons/emojis in the email subject lines. Does it actually attracts people's attention, though? :O

What's wrong with that ? It is just to highlight the thread .I believe if you're using bitcointalk through phone you can use other emojis too.No rules governing it for now.

I assumed that it can be described as annoying for some.  Like that one time where someone made the title goes over the line and obstruct other threads' title.  But guess this one is not that annoying—Only eye-catching.
Its serving it's purpose then. But I don't think the new forum supports this stuff.Same issues have brought up before.Let us get over the BBcode phase and everything should be well organized then.

Im on an older PC so im not even seeing white stars, just white squares with numbers in them, which version of windows are you running?

Firefox 47.0 on Windows 8.1.

well, i think theres no any rules with that shiny stars, in my screen im just see those stars with dark blue colour.

Ah yes.  I meant dark blue with white "shiny" edges.

I'm currently using a mac and I am only seeing yellow stars with one that looks cut off. I think Theymos only disallowed annoying characters in subject threads. Zazarb is trustworthy, so I wouldn't worry about him.

I see.  If it's allowed then that's ok.  But trustworthiness have nothing to do with the forum rules, please remember that.

I'm using google chrome and the Yellow stars are dark blue like the title color, but checking the lending board from Mozilla it shows the Yellow color. I think it is allowed because it is not anything that hurts eyes, i remember when theymos disallowed some other characters which were really annoying.
