Just consider that every day that you're not mining you lose $35 in opportunity cost.

How much is the MSI in New Zealand?

The 890FX was $210 before it went out of stock at the cheaper stores now its more like $250+.

I'm not sure how much the 990FX will be but as the gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 is $260 it should be similar.

There is no reason to spend that much on a 900 series chipset. Especially with a sempron in there.

Just grab a 890 and some risers.

risers are cheaper and give much more flexibility.
Can you advice some mobo with 4 pci-e slots on AM3? Or I can get any cheapest board? Cause I`m worry that there can be a problem when I will connect all videocards through pci-e expanders on cheap mobo.

Hi all

I'm trying to build a dedicated miner so I ordered the parts:

amd sempron 140
seasonic x750
cooler master haf912
2gb cheapo kingston ram
4x sapphire 5850's
MSI 890FXA-GD70

I bought these parts from different retailers to get good prices and everything but the ram and motherboard have been confirmned and shipped. Anyway it turns out all of the am3 motherboards that have a decent number of pci-e slots including the MSI 890FXA-GD70 are either expensive or sold out at all the retailers I have found (I'm in New Zealand) so I have to pick a newer am3+ motherboard for my sempron.

I know the am3+ motherboards have only recently come out but does anyone have any suggestions on what motherboard I should get?

I'm considering the MSI 990FXA-GD80 but it only fits 3 gfx cards without risers.
