Cool. I don't have the license, but I sure wish I did. How much trouble is getting a no code licenses?
It's not much trouble to get a license. In fact, now, all of the licenses are no code. The FCC did away with the morse code requirement a few years ago.
All of the FCC ham radio tests are multiple choice. There is a pool of questions, that is published (with the correct answers). When giving the test, they select some of the questions from the pool. If you're good at memorizing, you can pass the test that way. It's good to find a local ham, or local club and get involved. Even if you pass the test, you'll want to get some real life experience and advice from those in your area.

Go get a license. It's a great hobby, with many different aspects. I know some people that have their microphone stashed away in a drawer and do nothing but morse code. (Not my cup of tea however).

A lot if caught. It's far cheaper to take the test (and it really is easy if you study for even a few hours on first test).
Keep in mind a lot area's have ham contests "fox hunts" or other names where they find a radio transmitting. So they (or even worse FCC) can find you if transmitting without license.

what is the frequency , and how many Kilometers it reaches ?
it's for the 2 meter amateur radio band and has 5 watts of output power
typically these would be used with a repeater not direct to direct so distance varies and would depend on that..
"there must be a licensed US ham at the address i ship to" guessing with these questions you do not have a amateur license

Happy to see some HAM gear on here. Just incase anyone is thinking about this it can be a fun hobby. With study prep guides test's are not that hard if you do just a few hours of preparation (Possibly lot less depending on your knowledge).

a few are interested in the concept but not jumping in to use it anytime soon
i've given (for the cost to ship) a few tech study books to bitcoin users i'll have to get in touch and see if any of them went through with getting their license
