In theory, they could. But it's a long process to try and do so especially since you need to submit government id's and such. Then you have to prove that it was stolen. Then blizzard has to believe you.

But I have no intention of even bothering with something like that. I just don't enjoy the game any more, so I would rather someone that did have the account.

My options are either let it take up space on my phone or get rid of it. I choose to get rid of it.

As someone that plays Heartstone, I have to ask--can't these accounts be recovered?
