Actually when i last time dealt with one guy for Amazon GC, Sebastian checked that for me. Actually we can call Amazon customer care and confirm that the gc having the amount as per the OP.

Well one way (if it's a person doing the escrow) would be for me to send them the card so they can check the balance, and if it comes out to the right amount (which it will), then both myself and the escrower know that the card is good; and the buyer can have confidence in purchasing.
