Be a good Ambassador in your locality and represent Bitcoin to the core.

In fact, all of us, when we touch on the topic of bitcoin in conversations, even very superficially, act as its ambassadors and spread knowledge about it. The main thing is to tell the truth to those people who are interested in the topic. You can prompt someone who is open to new knowledge. And it doesn’t even have to be persistent, because the more of us who tell others about bitcoin, the more people are interested in it, and they can come to the forum and learn much more here than most of us can tell on our own. The main thing is that they become interested, and then they will be able to find their own way.

Sometimes a go that's when people preached of bitcoin trying to convince people to partake or invest in Bitcoin but social media has done a work that ordinarily bitcoin would have stayed above twelve years before it would have gotten to the grass roots, i believe that Bitcoin is something I believe very well that's have more influence through numerous campaigns that has been done through social media, most of the people who exist today have heard of Bitcoin because of it's attack by government and some of speculations that moved around because of profit and lost which involve in it's investment people took to social media.

It's not mandatory, but it would be great if someone would like to learn Bitcoin from me. This is very fun.
Bitcoin technology is growing with every passing year, investors and traders are increasing because they don't want to be left behind from one of the new wonders of the world. Education about bitcoin can be obtained from various places, almost every day news about bitcoin is published in print and electronic media. The popularity of Bitcoin is increasingly reaching almost all walks of life, today you know Bitcoin, tomorrow your family, after that your relatives and friends start learning Bitcoin.

Information about the advantages possessed by Bitcoin will continue to flow, regeneration will also be carried out all the time. Bitcoin ambassadors will be formed instantly when anyone wants to know more about Bitcoin, I think of the BTT Forum as the first ever Bitcoin ambassador.

But those who are in the Bitcointalk platform and Bitcoin enthusiasts should preach good News about Bitcoin and also to protect the currency or coin from the critics.
You can challenge/correct misconceptions and flat out lies about Bitcoin if you have the chance or if you wish to do so, not that it is mandatory, but you cannot "protect" Bitcoin from critics, there'd always be critics and those who think Bitcoin is a scam/bubble/good for only money laundering/etc.
As a Bitcointalk member activity in the forum, you are a representative of Bitcoin in the outside world to those who are still Sceptical about the coin and the blockchain.
You are not, Bitcoin doesn't have nor need any representative (it isn't centralized). If you are on the forum, you're just a user on Bitcointalk, who's meant to contribute to discussions about Bitcoin and other whatnots.
Be a good Ambassador in your locality and represent Bitcoin to the core.
I'd prefer to keep my Bitcoin life very private.

To protect it from critics? Niceeee!
Do you realize that in a true democracy and in a decentralized world everyone has the right to not agree with you and to criticize everything if he doesn't like it?

Does it need one?

No, it doesn't! But people do need it, despite all this talk about decentralization most of them still try to picture somebody or something like an organization as the leaders or the one deciding the important things, that's why they use the centralized exchange, that's why they use centralized solutions even with Bitcoin, because they need someone to ask, someone to offer them support someone to blame on!
It's the same thing here, the desperate need for a leader or for someone to do their work!

We shouldn't teach about only the good news of bitcoin so that we don't deceive people into investing and they don't know about the risk involved. The risk should also be given because bitcoin is volatile in nature and it is not everyone that can speculate the price or understand bitcoin price movement. If you can't teach both the good and bad of bitcoin when you are talking about it. It is better that you forget talking about it.

Bitcoin has become very popular without anyone being the ambassador or bitcoin. Bitcoin is an ambassador to itself because it has overcome all economy challenges and threats from the government to ban it and the FUD spread by social media, but it is still high in value and surpasses every other assets both in physical and digital.

It is not compulsory that you must tell them but when they ask and or when the need arises then you can preach the good news about Bitcoin to them. Many people are still working on the dark side of the world but telling them about Bitcoin if they are interested will bring them to the light of Bitcoin and it will shine in their lives. Be a good Ambassador in your locality and represent Bitcoin to the core.

I agree in principle, promoting Bitcoin is cool. But overall, I'd rather promote the P2P concept than Bitcoin itself. It keeps me from attracting attention, and those who understand the value of P2P systems will eventually find Bitcoin and understand it themselves if they bother to.

However, I think that in some cases, it's better not to promote than to promote in the wrong way. Stuffing people is counter-productive, and saying things that are wrong and misunderstood is a very bad publicity.

I was once in a hotel in Estonia, and a young Belgian was making pro-Bitcoin propaganda. I thought "Nice !". I pretended I didn't know anything about BTC, and I realized after 5 minutes that the guy knew almost nothing about it, and was talking nonsense. This is counter-productive, I don't think it does the community or Bitcoin any favors. I hope that, as time goes by and more resources in multiple languages become available online, some of the propagandists will improve.

Being on the forum here doesn't make you the best user or the highest holder neither does it increases the adoption rate of bitcoin because you will discover that no any avenue whereby you will discover bitcoin being advertised for people to use, but because of the nature of what bitcoin is and offers, it has made it more possible for it to maintain a unique and standard network people will always want to go after it adoption over the traditional currency we've been used to, this forum was it created to advertise bitcoin but to discuss about bitcoin with people allover the world using it.

As a Bitcointalk member activity in the forum, you are a representative of Bitcoin in the outside world to those who are still Sceptical about the coin and the blockchain.

Are those using bitcoin but not found on this forum not a good ambassador of bitcoin, i only see being here as an opportunity and not a mandate for every bitcoiners.

I wouldn't put pressure on people's opinions, either. Everything has its time. There has been plenty of popularization of Bitcoin in our time, and those who find interest in it will still be able to find out the truth about it. Apart from everything people expect from Bitcoin, which for the most part is only profit, it would be useful to tell everyone who has recently been fascinated by it what risks can be associated with holding and investing in it. It's not correct to say only positives. People should know all sides and make their own choice.

That's far easier said than done. People knowing that you have bitcoin alone will put your personal life at risk due to security and privacy concerns.

Bitcointalk is not a source of news, FUD. Bitcointalk members share what they got from social media but this forum is not a source of news and FUD.

In Bitcointalk you can get insightful analytics, reviews on news and FUD, debunk FUD.

Yes, it is. Better let Bitcoin popularize on its own without ambassadors. The first one I remember hearing was McAfee, I looked it up in case my memory was deceiving me and look:

Quote
John McAfee, antivirus software magnate, cryptocurrency ambassador and self-professed “iconoclast”, has been found dead in his prison cell in Barcelona, Spain, according to reports.

There are many others better than him, such as Andreas, and others who are at least halfway there, such as Saylor, but let's not give them any more importance than these ambassadors already have.

Does it need one? I think its popularity is beyond the ambasaddor set up. Even high profile personality doing their own tweet ans campaign to spread news of bitcoin. A lot of medias and other platforms have long gone done this and being a bitcoin user, yeah we could do that but with a limit. Some wanted to learn bitcoin only for gaining and profit purposes, well we need to educate them on its technical even with simple instruction is good like wallet creation, idea on private key, and on chain transactions and etc.

Well, just as I have learned about Bitcoin from people around me and also with the help of the forum, I have also corrected some misconceptions that most people that I have come in contact with have had. By also accepting Bitcoin in my business, I have helped bring the Bitcoin idea to Many people in this city. Yea, that's how it's supposed to be, but the knowledge of Bitcoin should not be forced on people because, in my opinion, it's not necessary for anyone who doesn't embrace it.

It is not our responsibility to teach them about Bitcoin, I think giving them links and references to self study is generous enough since they don't have to browse the internet and spend hours of searching and choosing for learning materials.
It's easier to give them the materials, links, videos and every stuff where they can learn about Bitcoin. I think being said as an ambassador gives that heavy responsibility as an individual who's into Bitcoin investing. I know that we should play our parts for giving people the idea of what Bitcoin is but there's the right forum, right time for it to be said. Not everyone that asks you are literally interested in knowing it, if you've been into in the past and you talked with people that have asked you about Bitcoin. You will understand the struggle for being a voluntary ambassador and person that wants to drive people to this space. We're not obligated yes but if you think that it's your sole duty to have it with different people no one can stop you but we can also have that disappointment in encouraging others to be one. For some safety measures, if it's just happening over the web, we can secure ourselves but to happen it physically. Then, you know the dangers that you may get.

It's not a bad idea to teach people about bitcoin but no law mandates you to do it. You can tell people about the currency if you have the opportunity and sometimes you can decide to keep your knowledge to yourself. For me, I am mandated to dispel every false interpretation or misconception about Bitcoin. If someone wants to generalize that bitcoin is the same as other cryptocurrencies, I will immediately counter such belief and educate the person about bitcoin. There is no way a person will equate Bitcoin with other coins because they are not the same. Even today I reoriented my neighbor about investing in Bitcoin because he is seeing the sector as a Ponzi scheme. I had to take time to differentiate between the bitcoin space and others. And I was glad he got the point and his old belief was dropped.

Bitcoin talk is a community where members learn and share ideas about Bitcoin and others. The rules of the forum cover your activities within the forum. Your activities outside the forum are your business because the forum promotes privacy.

I did became like an advocate of it even years ago. But it didn't turned out very well and that's why it has lost me enthusiam if it's about speaking it to anybody publicly.

Once I'm approached these days, that's where I'll answer but not as lively as before. Those bad experiences and feedbacks that I've got personally really turned a lot on me and that's why even if someone approaches me and asks me about it, sometimes I like to answer but there are times that I just want to remain quiet.

Another reason is because of privacy matters and trying to avoid wrench attacks.

There are lots of information about Bitcoin scattered on the internet.  So I think it is better to just refer them to the reputable sites that explains about Bitcoin than teaching them personally.  We can answer one or two question but to spend our time and effort in spoon feeding them is too much, IMO.  Besides all their question can be answered if they have time researching the internet.  If they can't make time for that simple task, I do not think they are worth spending time to teach them about what we had learned.

It is not our responsibility to teach them about Bitcoin, I think giving them links and references to self study is generous enough since they don't have to browse the internet and spend hours of searching and choosing for learning materials.

Bitcoin doesn't need an ambassador to be very honest with you. It's good the way it is. if you want to be a positive change to the people around you related to Cryptocurrency, just inform them with good practices like Buying a Hardware Wallet and keeping their Bitcoin secure, giving a influence on them will help you spread awareness. I personally don't like telling everyone that I am invested in Bitcoin. Maybe you shouldn't too unless someone else shows interest.

I engage when necessary and I also don't engage my self on unnecessary things. Their are some kind of conversation I will not advice anyone to even partake on, those argument where you know fully well that the person who is saying things against Bitcoin does not even know what the are saying, the point which they are making doesn't in any way relate to Bitcoin. Those kind of argument is not what one will get them self involve in trying to explain something to someone who is not ready to listen and learn, because they will end up dragging you to the ground with them.

In cases where I see people with wrong perspective regarding what Bitcoin is and all of that, I stand to correct them in the little way that I can, this is because I see them as people who are willing to take correction, so bringing them back from their wrong direction will not be a bad idea.

In the aspect of teaching and educating people about Bitcoin, I don't do it more often but if I have the opportunity to do that I explain to people who are willing to learn little about it base on how I understand it.

It's not compulsory for us to be going about arguing or teaching Bitcoin to people who are not willing to learn, if they want to call Bitcoin bad names let them do it, it won't stop Bitcoin from being Bitcoin, it won't reduce any value from it.

Talking about its good side
While neglecting the bad is deceptive
Its gonna create a fickle interest later on
I don't really understand what representing Bitcoin to the core means
Protect the crypto from critics? Or protect its users from critics
Well sharing our knowledge about Bitcoin
Can go along way in assisting a potential user in its journey
