Good afternoon, this is Kateryna (community manager of Ambrosus) here. First of all, thank you for spotting us. As you have correctly noticed, Ambrosus team boasts several top personalities of [Suspicious link removed]munity and food science. Besides this, we are justified to openly state that we have secured financial support from the Government of the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland; operational support from EPFL Innovation Park, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (top-10 engineering schools worldwide; top-5 in Europe); we have been admitted as Member of the Advisory Committee to the United Nations 10YFP Programme, with the United Nations showcasing our technology at the Global Food Conference in South Africa earlier this year; we also have an endorsement from the EIT Food, an independent R&D Body of the European Union, devoted to strategically important projects for Europe; endorsement from the President of the Swiss Association of Quality Management Systems SQS; and support of Crypto Valley Association and MME.

As you understand, given the support of such level preserving reputational value of Ambrosus is critically significant to us. Please feel free to reach out to us publicly or in private to seek any clarifications or guidance. It will also be our pleasure to inbox you our Vision Paper where we elaborate on our action plans - please request via [email protected]

What concerns ICO, yesterday we made public the date of its opening - 13 September 2017. Please stay tuned and in a few more days we will release official statement regarding ICO and valuations.

Thanks for getting in contact. I really like what I see from your webpage. I will certainly be in touch

I would like to preface this post by saying I am extremely new to altcoins. I just have recently begun purchasing bitcoins but I wanted to look into getting involved with an altcoin. One that has particularly caught my eye is the one listed in the title of this post: Ambrosus.

From my forum stalking, there seems to be a general distrust of altcoins; however, this one does seem quite legit. If you haven't heard about this coin, it is launching through Ethereum and aims to create "the world's first publicly verifiable and community driven ecosystem to assure the quality, safety, and origins of food." Here's the link to their webpage:

https://ambrosus.com/#overview

I had a few questions regarding this coin but dont really know where to find the answers so I am hoping this forum might be able to help me out.

First, am I drinking the coolaid too quickly regarding this altcoin? The team of devs looks pretty sterling and its endorsements (including the UN) make me think this could be a relatively safe investment. Is this correct?

Second, I am curious how the value of this coin will be determined. Because it is using Etherium smart contracts, will it therefore have the same value as ETH? Also, does anyone have any clue what the ICO will begin at price-wise? It does not occur until mid-September but I would appreciate any input on this.

Lastly, is this a scam? I do not think someone would put this much effort into a scam but then again I am an (extreme) newbie at all of this.
