Mining with GPU's are no longer profitable. You can't mine scrypt anymore with them, so you are on to other algorithims. And those are a pain to set up. I had a bunch of rigs, 7850's and 7950's. But when scrypt asics came out, the value of the cards dropped so heavily I lost more than I ever mined. And now, if you use a calculator like coinwarz, you will find that it is not profitable.

Do not buy the card for mining, no profit.

The same can be said for btc when the first users were mining.  If you already have gpu(s) and believe in something why not mine or do something useful such as Boinc?

If you don't mind electricity cost its fine.

Mine on a multi pool that picks the most profitable coin for you.  The MineBitShares multi pool pays out in BitUSD which will always = usd, hence do not need to worry about day to day volatility.  Trade the BitUSD for anything you want later on such as BitShares, BitGold, BitEuro etc... on the internal market or exchange on a 3rd party market for btc.

Mining with this card or any gpu s not profitable anymore, better sell it or use it for gaming or for digital media applications such as autodesk or any 3rd rendition applications.

You can mine everything but this card has reference design, that is why it is very hot and noisy. As other said it is better to sell it or use it for gaming (can run almost all games on max with fullhd resolution).

It was one of the best mining cards but I don't think mining on this GPU is profitable anymore.

Agree, its better to sell it now and buy the coin you desire then use it for mining.

I agree.
7000 series while still very relevant for gaming (especially on budget) have a serious problem: their model number is ... two years old? Maybe even three. Do not buy. Sell asap if you already have one as a new model will be out in a couple of months (actually sooner AFAIK, but availability is a big question).

7970 is exactly the same card as R9 280x. Probably the most widely used card for mining.
Their model number is still two years old. Explain this when trying to resell (albeit I would admit they're probably recognized as R something at driver level). Sticker is sticker.

if electricity is high, sell it and buy a 750ti for mining is better, and it's very cheap

or just use it for gaming, because mining isn't profitable anymore

What algorithms can i mine with this one n how much speed can i get?

You can mine almost all algorithms you want with amd 7970, but none is profitable.
